Here's a new link for us all to chatter on

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Clarella · 07/09/2012 14:02

Yup. That's what's religious right now!

Its ok, I had this before, another lovely long term side effect of an underactive thyroid, pregnancy has made it worse and you can't use the magic stuff that sorts it out in a matter of days (proctosedyl) cos its steriod and bad for baby. It just seems to be the pressure of the extra weight as I'm not banged up.

Apologies for mega tmi!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 14:04

Maybe you could use the super strength stuff at week 38/40 to try clear it up before the birth? Just thinking it might not have such an effect on the baby but might make things easier on you during/after labour

CODwidow · 07/09/2012 14:08

So glad other people are also dribbling a little GrinGrin

Clarella · 07/09/2012 14:22

Eeeeck! bunged up I meant! Lol

Yes I might ask them if it gets worse, thanks!

Clarella · 07/09/2012 14:23

'during labour' is something i'd though of and winced at actually... more than labour but having never done that I'm blissfully ignorant!

Clarella · 07/09/2012 14:32

DH and I are getting heated under the collar via email and text over masonry paint. It's bizarrely really getting to me! A good thing to get wound up about though I reckon :) I think its because he's going out tonight leaving me with yet another layer of dust to tackle, and we always struggle to agree over shades of white but woohoo, the builders are starting to Hoover certain areas of the house! Nothing works still but bits of it might be clean!

And thank god no plumber tonight (he arrives 5-9 each night now so I may blast some music and do some dancing/ kicking in the clear kitchen area! I'm concerned baby is conditioned to crackly magic fm and wood saw screeching and needs some 2many djs or something.

EggsMichelle · 07/09/2012 14:50

Seconds I've also had an upset stomach over night, it was so bad I woke up thinking I was in labour!!!

I'm not convinced Shimpy every sleeps, either that or he will be a sleep walker like me as there are constant twitches and wriggles in me. I'm starting to find them very uncomfortable now, and he can now reach my ribs.

I've not got the dribbles, but I can go to the toilet, wash my hands and straight away need to go back to the toilet!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 14:59

So bloods and urine all clear. Not sure what the protein was about Hmm

Afternoon everyone. I've been off MN for a few weeks, just tired or distracted in the evenings. Wanted to come on, say hi, and catch up a little with everyone.

Ellie I've had less noticeable movements recently, I think because baby has turned inwards. The movements I am getting aren't kicks, more, well 'movement' like an elbow or back changing position slightly. They're easier to miss, especially if I don't have my hand on my bump at the same time.

TMI: I've had loads of discharge for weeks, been wearing panty liners for it, and it still soaks through. I had some getting out of the shower the other day, and just got back straight back in! It was horrible; dribbled down my legs all the way to my knees :(

My bump also hurts quite often in the morning. Even with the pillow there to support it overnight. I also get a sore bump when walking. Mine is probably due to the surgery I had a few years ago, my tummy muscles never recovered, so there's no proper support for the bump on my right side.

Hope everyone is well. I'll try and keep in touch from now on. Hoping to get the iPhone 5 when it's announced next week; then I will love playing with my phone (and reading MN on it), unlike the hatred I've developed for my current one.

Queenofsiburbia · 07/09/2012 15:48

Hello & to newbies,

I, like clarella am due earlier than majority (4th dec) which means that I had a major dribble panic a few weeks ago and everyone was very very reassuring & nice but possibly thinking smugly, well that hasnt happened to me yet! and I have good news too, the dribbling has now stopped!
I did have a wracking all-night cough which made it much worse, & tbh I still wouldn't trust myself in a running/sneezing combo but think it must have been related to stage in pregnancy (26ish weeks?).

I did have abit of boob leak though. Why does it gross me out when I know in a few months it'll be a boob flood?!

Thank you for nice words re me being on grumpy sofa with DH last week. Still sort of am but not going to bore everyone as it really is dull and if I rant here I won't feel need to rant at him! but related to trying to move before DD. sigh.

Bubbless · 07/09/2012 17:21

work was a bit better today! so hard to keep up with you all / reply now im back at work!!

my hips are getting pretty sore, so not sure if its worth going to see the doc on monday, as i have to stand all day.. do i see the doc or mw?!

also, my discharge has tripled, its really weird!!

TMI- does anyone else find that when you go for a no2 its REALLY hard? went this morning and ive actually torn.. myself.. open :/ there was blood!!

glad to hear most people are doing okay though :)

acjfluff · 07/09/2012 17:26

Hi all, we're internet-less in our new house so I haven't been able to keep up with all your chat! I hope you're all well. (I'm at my mum's for tea again, living out of boxes is not much fun)

I've had a quick scan through this last page and see I'm not the only one with extra discharge Blush Very glad it seems normal!

I'm a little stressed at the moment, we're getting married in 2 weeks and I still

I'm a little stressed at the moment, we're getting married in 2 weeks and I'm still chasing things up and organising things. Wedding dress alterations/fitting on Monday so fingers crossed the changes work with the bump!

My pregnancy was outed to the parents at school this week (I'm a teacher) and so far everyone has been lovely. There's no way I could've hidden it any more though!

Sorry for me me me!

I hope I can find you again next time I can get on the internet, it'll definitely be a new thread.

acjfluff · 07/09/2012 17:30

Oh. What did I do there?? Sorry! Confused

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 18:01

I NEED a tuna and cucumber sandwich right now!!!

Glad your day was better Bubbless

Clarella · 07/09/2012 18:16

Oh bubbless.... poor thing, yes in the past, it can eventually lead to ehem, piles, though you may have some already inside which could have bled or its simply a little tear. (sorry tmi) try and take some Lactulose/fibrogel/drink LOTS of water to get it a bit softer cos too much tearing gets it all inflamed. plus anusol suppositories. In an extreme emergency I've been told its ok to use glycerine suppositories to 'help things along' (not needed yet thank god!) by mw and doc, though pharmacist got really stressed about the idea. I turned a blind eye/head in sand to it for years and regret that now!! Glad work a bit better, not sure what to advise re hips, I am extremely grateful those work well, hope you cab get help with that.

Oh dear stacks we really are all coming out and baring all tonight!

Sorry you're still a bit grumpy queen hugs and Choc on the sofa if needed x

Is that good news spotty?

Clarella · 07/09/2012 18:18

Acj, I remember how stressful it was but at the same time try to savour every minute too! So exciting!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 18:23

Well I'm not sure Clarella at least if it had been an infection I'd have known it wasn't the start of pre-eclampsia. Mw said it could just be contamination so just wait and see I suppose!

kate2boysandabump · 07/09/2012 19:20

Bubbless Glad you had a better day at work today.

acj I'm glad the parents were nice about it. WHen I told my first class I was pregnant, one little girl piped up 'I already know my mom told, she said it was either that or you were getting a fat arse' She was 5 at the time, lovely.

COD Sorry you're having a rough time of it. DS1 was diagnosed with dyspraxia last year, which is in the same sort of area as ADHD. He also has zero short term memory, but he has started to realise this and has asked that he has a checklist by the front door, which is done and is so far working. We had a weekly planner, but he found that too confusing. He also has a chalk board above his coat hook at home, so I can add on any extra's that he might need to remember. It's very much trial and error to see what works and what doesn't. Do you have any friends to talk to about things? I'm very lucky, that I know a lot of other SEN mum's. Glad your DH is looking after you.

Saw one of ds1's friends mum's today and she had a baby 3 weeks ago, a lovely little boy, so little and soooo cute. I can't wait to meet my baby.

About the wee thing. Try sitting on the toilet after you think you've finished and roll your pelvis a bit, it might help get the rest out.

My back is feeling so much better today, I walked the school run, in the lovely sunshine, morning and afternoon. Feel very tired now though.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 19:48

Someone was asking about bleeding post CS and I said I think it's light because they 'hoover' you out, a friend confirmed this today and said she hardly bled. Going to meet her tiny baby next week Grin

Secondsop · 07/09/2012 20:16

Hello all. spotty I once had protein in the morning but none by afternoon which the midwife said could just have been a bit of contamination from discharge so maybe that's what you had too? Glad the tests were clear.

Baby's been quieter today, but I wonder if that's because I was back at work after a few days of bedrest. Hips / pelvis / back getting really sore now!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 20:19

I did wonder about that secondsop but I always wee a bit before going in the pot and always ensure it never touches Grin

Secondsop · 07/09/2012 20:55

You're a better woman than me, spotty - I chalk it up as a win if I manage to get anything anywhere near the pot!

CODwidow · 07/09/2012 21:38

kate I have been reading about dyspraxia and he seems to match many of the symptoms and I feel personally he matches them more than ADHD so i'm going to speak to his teacher again on Monday and wait for our appt to come through. When you have time could you please list some of your sons symptoms/traits please Smile

EggsMichelle · 08/09/2012 00:11

Have finally given up on a social life, attempted to go to an 18th birthday party tonight, and left by 9.30 as I was bored!!! I should have atleast found the drunks entertaining, but all I felt was jealous so back home for coffee and packet of crisps!
