Just checking in. And Bellaboo I'm with you on being glad it's Friday.

Why am I more exhausted now, when DD has finally started to reliably sleep through the night, than I remember being over the last 2 years?!

Cookiesandcream06 · 17/08/2012 21:55

Checking in Grin

Queenofsiburbia · 17/08/2012 22:07

Checking in...
I'm not sure I like the Braxton hicks. It feels abit, sort of, hard! Confused

blackcurrants · 18/08/2012 00:11

I've done something to my back and now my lower back is agony. Doesn't help that I'd already got a twinge when I went to pick DS out of his paddling pool and then slipped - now it's bloody agony!
Ach well. He's in bed and DH is out for the night. I'm going to lie on the floor with some cushions and watch dvds :)

knottyhair · 18/08/2012 06:35

Hi everyone! blackcurrants, I had horrendous lower backache yesterday and also in my hips by the afternoon, really hope you're feeling better this morning. Mine seems to have gone for now {{fingers crossed}}. Our friends who've been staying since Wednesday leave this morning. Whilst I love having them here, it will be nice to get my own bed back!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/08/2012 08:36

Argh I was just sitting on my bed and I lent down to get something and really, really hurt my bump Sad got a pain at the bottom

Mummycox · 18/08/2012 09:05

Spotty I had the same last night... Cat one wouldn't come in, cat two escaped
To join him, DH got cat 2 in whilst I got cat 1. I leant to get him, twisted and squashed something. Sodding painful. He's fine this morning though, kicking and squirming as usual. Feel for you -
Cup of tea and a lie down if you can.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/08/2012 09:07

It's ok I can feel movement again Smile Our poor babies getting squashed! Just takes a bit of getting used to the restricted movement I think!

kate2boysandabump · 18/08/2012 09:46

Found you!!

My boys are off for the week on holiday with their grandparents, so DH has taken them away today. I was supposed to go too and spend the weekend, but I have a sickness bug and feel lousy and wasn't up to 3 hours in the car Sad So I'm left home alone for the weekend. DS1 is very upset that I can't go and has cried this morning. So now they have gone I am crying too and worrying that he will be OK. He kept saying, 'I will miss you while I'm away' Sad He also thinks he will miss something with the baby while he's gone. He insisted on kissing my bump goodbye before he left.

Sad bit over Smile I've been getting lots of movement, we all sat in bed together this morning and watched my bump jump about. I've been getting some kicks really low down and they turn my stomach, it makes me feel really sick. The sooner this little one is head down the better. All my boys felt the baby kicking from the outside this morning Smile

EllieBelle DH's Christmas party is on 8th December, he's going to drive and come home early. He loves the Christmas party, but I'll only have a week to go and as he pointed out I can't drive myself to the hospital if he's too pissed. I think you are being completely reasonable to ask him to take it easy.

Hope everyone else is well Smile

PurplePidjin · 18/08/2012 09:49

Blinking baby was kicking/BH so much he woke me up at 2:30am, then at a reasonableish hour when dp was ready to cuddle up the little pickle was asleep!! Argh!!

itsMYNutella · 18/08/2012 13:50

Ah ha! I have found the new thread, hi everyone!! We're hanging out at home for a bit, it's too hot out for me today! Although we might go for a swim in a local lake.... But it will probably be heaving there Hmm

Feeling squirming but not lots of kicks, unless I bend forward and then I usually get a few pokes at the bottom of bump.

Have a lovely time and hope you are all enjoying the weather... In your own way :)

ellliebelle · 18/08/2012 14:13

kate dh doesnt drive so even if i wasnt planning a home birth he doesnt have the ezxuse of having to get me to hospital to curb his drinking. We have spoken and he says he knows he cant get pissed but im dubious and will have to see it to believe it :) sorry to hear some of you are suffering with bump/back pains i went shopping with a friend yesterday she is 32 weeks and we had to have so many coffee breaks as we are both suffering with spd.

Also sorry if tmi but having sex this morning and got a pain on the right hand side at the bottom of my bump like a stitch pain :( wasnt nice

gilsbubbles · 18/08/2012 16:15

I'm having a very hormonal and irrational day, so far 3 round of tears for no particular reason. Is we unlike me and I'm getting very frustrated at myself and not really knowing why I'm upset Sad

OP posts:
Bubbless · 18/08/2012 16:50

oh im aware i was going into unchartered territory with the sex, but i felt really bad for DP and thought i should make an effort!!
pru dp said that the baby must have enjoyed it too, i then got very freaked out and we are now officially on a sex ban until DD is born!

ellie mine hurt on and off, but im finding that they are erect for 80% of the day so when they go down they tend to ache?

gils have a big bar of chocolate or an entire tub of baileys ice cream like me and watch a sad film, at least youll have a reason to cry!
baileys doesnt count as drinking if its made into ice cream does it?!

DP's got his work night out tonight, dreading the long evening alone, then him coming home drunk :/
anyone else not enjoy when their DPs are out?!

emilyeggs · 18/08/2012 17:12

Ah gils you can have a place on the sobbing sofa Biscuit it was me hogging all the space on there the other day Smile

pmgkt · 18/08/2012 18:28

just got back from holiday today and need to catch up on events. only 2 full days til scan day. 3 sleeps though, or should that be 3 lying in bed with no sleeps?

ellliebelle · 18/08/2012 19:04

bubbless i reallt dont like when dh goes out and tend to turn into a bunny boiling crazy lady :( i find it easier to deal with if its nit been long since i went out or i have a night out planned for the near future which is obviously not happening whilst pregnant

Bubbless · 18/08/2012 19:15

yeah, ellie its weird isnt it! im not normally like this but im grumpy hes gone out and not spending time with me, which is stupid as he only goes out once a month!
however, it doesnt help that i know all of my 'friends' are going out tonight as i wasnt invited :/ eurgh

Cookiesandcream06 · 18/08/2012 19:51

bubbless and ellie I'm in a similar boat. DP went out for 'one drink' with his mate 'who never stays out' last night. Stumbled in blind drunk some time gone 1 made a hideous amount of noise, turns out he left his car in town and everything. Snored all night and hit me in the face several times.I can't help but still be annoyed now. All my friends are out tonight too. hope you're all OK

SpottyTeacakes · 18/08/2012 20:53

Oh I'm a total bunny boiler when dp goes out I HATE it! Grin I tell him I don't trust him Wink I do trust him really I just don't trust anyone if that makes any sense?! And hate the thought of him having fun without me!

Bump has had another growth spurt and it's quite painful/achey at the bottom and in my hip.

PurplePidjin · 18/08/2012 21:06

I must be a total wierdo, dp going out doesn't bother me at all. Maybe because he's demonstrated that he'd rather drive home for 4 hours at midnight leaving good friends he rarely sees so he can sleep in our bed together despite me telling him to kip on his best mate's sofa Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 18/08/2012 21:10

See I think I'm a weirdo because my friends don't mind their partners going out at all. I tell dp I'm allowed to be psycho though because at least I admit it and know I'm being unreasonable!

ellliebelle · 18/08/2012 21:49

spotty me too i know how i act is not reasonable and that dp is totally supportive of me going out. Im so glad imnot the only one :)

We were talking about holidays earlier as some friends are having seperate girls/blokes holidays this year and dh asked if i would go o such holiday when the dc's are older and i was just like no i dont think its my kind of thing....really i think idlove it but couldnt bear the thought of dh doing the same and i cant if i wouldnt let him.

Cookiesandcream06 · 18/08/2012 21:53

I've learnt not to be that bothered/get worked up- was more bothered about my crappy sleep! It's never the 'who's he talking to' aspect I worry about him spending a stupid amount of money or thinking its a good idea to drive home after a 'few' ! But there is something about being pregnant which makes you worse about it, it's the fact you know full well you cannot go out the following weekend, stay out, and get stupidly drunk to let your own hair down. We have the joys of swollen ankles, BHs and constipation to deal with!

Going to bed on my own yet again though as DP is downstairs waiting for MOTD to start. His team didn't even play today. Men are definitely from another planet!
Rant over! Smile

knottyhair · 18/08/2012 22:14

Off to bed too - DP is babysitting our niece & nephew and spending the night there as his sister & husband won't be back until late. I've caught up on my Borgen obsession and eaten crumpets & marmite Smile, whilst DS watched Tom & Jerry upstairs on the laptop. Night!
