SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 09:47

KFC chips and gravy mmm yum!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/07/2012 09:49

KFC chips are rubbish lol oven chips and thick thick gravy :)

SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 09:51

Oh not so keen on the chips it's the gravy from there I love and now I want it!

HoneyMum21 · 04/07/2012 09:52

I bought about 5 different dresses for the wedding I went I yesterday (now have to take them all back) and ended up wearing a really simple black shift dress from the Gap maternity range. Very reasonable price and it gives bump a lovely shape and the fabric is lovely on a way that should make it very useful all the way through. I was worried black wasn't very weddingy but accessorised with some colour and seemed very elegant (I thought!)

MyDaydream · 04/07/2012 09:57

Oh I want some chips, but with cheesy beans not gravy. I hate gravy.
I'm struggling to understand why my midwife gave me a landline to contact her on when she's always in the community so can't be contacted there. My boss and DP are nagging me to speak to her over my back and I can't!

SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 10:06

Your doctors surgery should have her mobile number?

itsMYNutella · 04/07/2012 10:08

Staceym or someone could you please send me some chip shop chips and a tin of Bisto granules?? You can be my BF forever!! :o

Friend I know how you feel, maternity wear doesn't yet fit properly but all other trousers have to be worn undone with the hairband trick Hmm

Oh and talking about dreams... mine range from crazy nightmares to... well something that probably shouldn't be mentioned before the watershed.
And, ok, I know this is slutty, but I keep having errr interesting dreams about friends' husbands Confused in one dream I even told DP about this guy coming on to me Hmm
I had one dream where it was DP and I was trying to get him to agree to ahem relations but he wasn't interested then when he was I was absolutely refusing... sooooo errr it's all down to the hormones?

knottyhair · 04/07/2012 10:11

Emily, I still get headaches as well. Looking forward to seeing if Spotty's theory is correct! Friend, can you treat yourself to a new dress? I'm also just looking fatter at the moment. MyDaydream, how frustrating! Hope you can contact her soon. itsMYNutella, had the same here, either horrible nightmares (some baby related, some not) or inappropriate ones! Had one about Jason Isaacs the other night Blush. Unfortunately my RL libido is not matching my dream one at the moment.

Stacks · 04/07/2012 11:12

OMG I want chips :(

CakeBump and co abroad, I've been looking on the Gap website today for maternity clothes, they've got a few things in the sale which look nice. Also for 'limited time only' international shipping for £4, with free returns. Might be a way of getting some clothes you like?

Midwife appointment at 3:30 today. Am working from home to avoid spending 2 hours travelling, however all my work is blocked by someone else somewhere, so I'm kind of twiddling my thumbs (and looking at maternity clothes online).

minipie · 04/07/2012 11:25

Yay another Londoner! Grin

Stacks I looked at your bump photos - yours looks a lot like mine!

I got offered a seat on the tube again today, I didn't really know whether to accept it or not. On the one hand I feel I should grab the opportunity to get a seat while I can, since the tube is so hellish so much of the time (and I think accepting reassures the offeror!). On the other hand, I actually feel fine at the moment, so don't really "deserve" priority iykwim.

itsMYNutella · 04/07/2012 11:28

Fantastic Stacks! Thanks for the tip... obviously I'm working hard planning lessons and stuff. I'm not just lingering on here all day :o

ellliebelle · 04/07/2012 11:45

Hi everyone it must have been about 3 weeks since i last posted ive been soooo busy and now i feel soooo worn out. Had a maths assignement to do for my OU course then got a call last week saying i have an ofsted inspection this week and thwy still havent been so im stressed.

So sorry to hear about all those with money/job worries and very jealous of tjose of you feeling movements and with scans coming up. Not got a date for my 20 week yet and no movements either :( thought i might start with them around now 15 weeks with dc 3

kate2boysandabump · 04/07/2012 11:49

Hello all, struggling to keep up with you all again Smile

Went to the midwife today and heard my baby's heartbeat. She said it sounded very happy and I was very happy too, there is still a baby growing in there.

Sorry to hear all the rubbish news about jobs. I've also had no work this week and the summer holidays are looming when I can't work at all.

I'm struggling with clothes too, my trousers only do up with a hairband, but maternity clothes don't feel quite right and I don't have much of a bump, so I feel like a bit of a fraud Confused Maybe a bump will arrive over night and I will fully embrace the over the bump panel Grin

I have also never owned a snot sucker and have never sucked snot out of my children Confused Two big books under the cot usually does the trick.

pmgkt · 04/07/2012 12:02

I'm feeling better now, went swimming with my ds1 so had fun, got wet as he splashes like mad, but his giggles cheered me up.

pmgkt · 04/07/2012 12:08

Tmi warning. And giggles. Why is it that my now sluggish digestive system decides it needs to go..... And go immediately when I have put on my swimsuit under my clothes before heading to the pool. Typical.

gilsbubbles · 04/07/2012 12:34

Woo hoooo heading off on holiday in a few hours, really looking forward to just choking out and spending some alone time with dp.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 12:35

Ooo where are you off too? Envy

SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 12:36

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/07/2012 12:40

Jealous here too no holidays for ages, get a week in the lake district at the end of the summer, then real holiday to Dubai in oct half term, can't bloody wait!

CautiousOptimist · 04/07/2012 12:40

Hi everyone,
Room for one more? I have to admit to lurking for quite a while and being too scared to post! Like loads of others I had a MC first time around, so it's taken me this long to believe it's really going to happen. But I'm 17 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and getting so excited.

It has really helped me to read your threads and see that everyone else is experiencing the same ups and downs - tiredness, first scans, headaches, funny cramps, could-that-be-movement excitement, wondering what we'll need etc. Thank you - and I'm sorry it's taken a long time for me to say hi!

I had a surprise scan on Monday because my midwife couldn't find a heartbeat at 16 wk appointment, so sent me to the EPU at the hospital. DH and I were terrified, but the baby was fine - just a bit small still for the heartbeat to be heard. I'm fine now but apparently this happens sometimes so I just wanted to mention it in case it happens to anyone else on here and means they worry less than I did.

I'll add myself to the list. I'm another one soon to be moving so only a Londoner for a few more weeks.

We're island hopping in scotland all the way out on the western isles. Hoping for a bit of seclusion and some stunning scenery. Really excited about the trip. Had booked a month backpacking and scuba diving in indonesia before we found out I was pregnant and had to cancel so this will be a bit chiller than I'd have liked ;-)

Bellaboo123 · 04/07/2012 12:45

Hello all - glad to hear i'm not the only grumpy one been really stroppy when i get home from work with dp - he doesn't stand a chance bless him.

So here my list (note snot sucker removed!!!) I think it's quite comprehensive but i haven't got a scooby doo how many of what i need as you read differing opinions everywhere...sorry it's a bit long...please be honest and tell me what i'm wasting money on and what's not essential!!! All feedback welcome!

I'm planning on breast feeding (although i've had implants i'm told they should still work...anyone got any experience on this...) and also expressing so DP can be involved although i'm sure it's not going to be that easy...

SORRY FOR THE LONG POST!!!
