Well have an office in my living room now, and DH isn't as unhappy about how it look as he thought he would be. Which helps me out a lot tbh !

D'S has thankfully been good today and we've been able to have a chat. He seemed worried he wouldn't be my baby anymore. So have tried reassuring him and hopefully his behaviour will be better. Also told him he didn't have to move rooms right now if he didn't want but he's adamant he wants to so I will take him out shopping for a black out blind and paint in west ham colours for his walls at the weekend to get that done so he can move in. Using his new room as storage now which makes my living room look better as there isn't 3 ton of baby stuff on show!

Sorry it's been a shit day cod, my hip pain is on/off so hopefully yours eases too!

Welcome newbie (sorry forgotten your name already)

I still need to buy essentials like pads (maternity and breast) big pants for after (don't bother with disposable just buy dark big pants the paper ones are rubbish) but the baby is done (unless we have a girl as 80% of the clothes I've been given ate boys. I've never owned a bath/nursery thermometer, not even for my PFB although I never really acted very PFB with her either! Lol

Welcome emilyeggsSmile

COD sorry to hear you have had a bad day hope tomorrow is better.

Stacey I am having a similar problem with ds2 he is 5. Last week he cried every morning before school because he wanted to stay at home very unlike him. Turns out he was worried he will no longer be mummy's baby any more. We have talked to him and he is fine now.

HoneyMum21 · 03/07/2012 22:19

Just back from a wedding and am utterly exhausted. Thanks for adding me to the geography list.
Welcome emilyeggs
Sorry those of you who are feeling rough. I'm still exhausted and haven't got round to speaking to my dr yet re: the thyroid stuff.

I'm getting myself completely worked up that there is something wrong with bump. I don't think I've had movement yet (17+3) and have read that inactivity in the womb can be linked to downs as well as other stuff. I'm fully aware I'm being completely neurotic and paranoid but keep working myself up about stuff.
Anyway, 3 sleeps till we find out what flavour bump we have. Eeek.

Cookiesandcream06 · 03/07/2012 22:38

Wowsers too much to fully update myself !

An add to South West would be fab somebody pretty please Smile i'm a Wiltshire girl

Also, upon scanning through on my phone did someone say Portsmouth was an island ?! I may be blonde but I'm very confused right now?!

To everyone else having a moan- i'm in a vile hormonal mood and am going to bed before I abuse DP anymore. You know when EVERYTHING they do (inc breathe) annoys the absolute hell out of you?!? ...

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 03/07/2012 22:41

Cherry my D'S is 5 too maybe it's a bad age! Lol

Cookies yes Portsmouth is an island, who knew eh?

MyDaydream · 03/07/2012 23:10

I remember my mums friend having a baby when I was about 13 and she was telling us how she'd sent DH to the shop for a snot sucker but it was much easier to do it yourself. First time I realised babies were gross, I think it started my 'no babies for me' phase that lasted right up to 'oh shit it's positive' last year!
Sorry to hear some of you are having such bad times.
Nutella, I saw your picture and told DP. He doesn't think it's a good idea for me to eat that much.

Clarella · 03/07/2012 23:19

Just asked DH if Portsmouth an island...... he said no. :/ ??

Welcome and Congrats Emily!

I'm sure its fine honey though you do sound down and anxious. For a first it can be up to 22 or I think someone said 24 weeks till first movement.

Your thyroid may be completely fine but I must admit I get terribly anxious and worryful when mines down, like a totally different person - mind you simply being tired can do that, as well as pregnancy it seems. My brain's feeling sharper everyday at mo since the meds were upped, takes a while though. Grateful it can be fixed, hoping other's nasty aches and sickness go soon.

Still a bad mummy, still bought no supplies, just a lamimator. Oh and a super soft camping mat in a sale for WOMAD! Woop Woop! (blueberry will get more out of it if we can sleep ok :) )

Clarella · 03/07/2012 23:21

Aha! I can top trump DH with a geog fact!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 04/07/2012 05:30

We went to see spiderman last night and I've just woken up from a nightmare. What am I 5 again now??? Something to do with me being an alien and another species coming over at night to wipe us out using huge barrel guns with blue fog in them?!

I have bought nothing other than the dress and didn't use snot sucker last time (or buy one) I also did not suck snot out of my baby. Excuse me while I vomit. I am not good with sick or snot but it's not like normal sick or snot when it's your baby, for me it's like my own sick but much much more bearable.

Hello Emily

StrawberrytallCAKE · 04/07/2012 05:32

honey just wanted to say I also didn't feel my first move until past 20 weeks and she was fine! It may also be the position of your placenta?

knottyhair · 04/07/2012 06:42

Ivana, so sorry you're suffering with a UTI - horrible. Hope you feel better soon. I used to live in Bristol and still visit friends regularly - whereabouts are you (if you don't mind saying)? Emily, welcome! So sorry to hear that you lost your baby last year. Saphiesgirl, how lovely that you can feel movement! itsMYNutella, hope you feel better today. Stacey, aah bless your DS, bet he loves his new room. My DS took a while to adjust to the news as well and he's 8 but very excited now. Honey, try to get your thyroid checked asap, if it is the problem, you'll start to feel better quite quickly once you take the meds. Strawberry, nightmares seem to be quite common, I've had a couple of horrible ones since being pregnant. Hope you get a better night tonight.

Off to GPs this morning for a blood test to re-check my thyroid function, then getting my hair cut thank god, looks so awful! Hope you all have a good day.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 07:02

Morning everyone, another rainy day Sad

I have swapped my morning sickness for heartburn, don't remember it starting so early last time.

Agggrrrrrr not happy this morning, just keep blubbing for no reason at all. Well maybe I have plenty of reasons but just not proper ones

PurplePidjin · 04/07/2012 07:22

Hormones are reasons, pmgkt! Wanna rant to the group? I find it very cathartic

EggsMichelle · 04/07/2012 07:28

Good morning, I'm having the daily battle with my bladder, and my lack of desire to get out Of bed. Finding that my works flexibility for when I arrive makes me want to stay in bed even longer.

Advice of the day yesterday from my rather mad ward clerk was to always wear a pad, incase I don't make it to the toilet in time, I wonder what today's gem will be!

And to hell if anyone thinks I'll be sucking snot out of anyone's nose!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/07/2012 07:54

I've never sucked snot (ewwwww) and never owned a snot sucker, my 2 are still alive so I shall pass I think!

I had heartburn for most of the night which was crap but I did have chips and gravy for dinner so maybe that was to blame lol

emilyeggs · 04/07/2012 09:29

Morning everyone, well that was another shit nights sleep! And an intense headache at 3am to boot. :( they keep coming and going over the last week, thought that was a first trimester thing. Hope all you ladies and bumps are well. Thanks for all the welcomes, it's nice to have people to share this with who are going through the same thing Grin

emilyeggs · 04/07/2012 09:32

Ps StacymRradyForNumber3 I want chips and gravy now

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/07/2012 09:37

Chips and gravy is awesome, might have it again for lunch (just to test the theory that it caused the heartburn of course)

emilyeggs · 04/07/2012 09:42

Very sensible research I think Wink

FriendofDorothy · 04/07/2012 09:42

I have had quite a few bad headaches over the last week again. Had them for about a week in the first trimester too.

I had a complete meltdown last night about not having anything to wear for a wedding on Saturday. I had planned to wear a particular dress but it just makes me look fat. I got all upset about the fact that i don't look pregnant at all, I just look like I have eaten all the pies :(

SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 09:45

Friend my bump is just flab most days, it's the maternity jeans that give it a nice shape. I'm thinking of wearing a bump band under the maxi dress I have for a wedding to give better shape

SpottyTeacakes · 04/07/2012 09:47

Also I had such bad headaches with dd but none this time, maybe all you ladies with headaches are having girls? Grin
