Pidj get you, so organised :) I like the name!! - as long as I can have my pudding with custard and ice cream :o

Well I'll jump in and get myself a cozy place to sit. x

Woohoo new thread, feel really shite today, hopefully it wears off am supposed to be working, thankfully my boss is my dad :)

SpottyTeacakes · 02/07/2012 11:48

I wish my dad was my boss, at least he likes me!

Clarella · 02/07/2012 12:04

Brilliant! ...craving mince pies now. I have mince meat in the fridge.... maybe on a cracker?

PurplePidjin · 02/07/2012 12:04

Checking in, and also letting people know I uploaded some pics to my profile. Got one from my 12w scan up, and 2 of my bump.

I have my 16w appointment on Wed, and have told DH he has to come along, though we originally agreed he didn't need to. I'm just scared they won't find a heartbeat or something will be wrong - going through that without DH there would be awful. So he's going to take the whole day off work and play computer games, come along to my appointment, then play some more :)

FriendofDorothy · 02/07/2012 12:33

I wish I had a nice neat bump. I just look even fatter than I did before :(

PurplePidjin · 02/07/2012 12:42

FoD I'm just a bit chubby at 18 weeks. I'm consoling myself with the thought that a big bump will be a nuisance and in 2 months I'll be cursing it for getting in the way!!

Great title Smile! Stacey hope you feel better. Stacks, good luck for Wednesday, and lovely bump & scan pic. Friends & Purple, same here, just a bacon sandwich baby for me at the moment.

brooke89 · 02/07/2012 13:54

Also Envy at Clarella's 19 weeks!!

Congrats Friend :)

Back in work today and a lady who i work with decided she was convinced i was having a boy because of the way my bump is... so looking forward to going home and googling another theory!

MyDaydream · 02/07/2012 14:23

Another one here with a jelly belly rather than baby belly. I can't see any difference really but other people are convinced they can see bump.
Another day off work today because I burst into tears at the bus stop because my back was so sore. Work are arranging for me to see the physiotherapist in the office to see if they can suggest anything.
Really worried, my DP has been called into work for an emergency meeting (he works nights). It looks likely he'll be loosing his job probably as of today. He's got another lined up but no start date for it. Fingers crossed new job calls tomorrow!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 02/07/2012 15:18

My day got worse :( dh lost his work contract...I'm hoping by putting this on the first page that by the last page everything will be ok again. Life is not easy right now!!!

daydream hope your dp's new job starts soon!!

PurplePidjin · 02/07/2012 15:22

My temp work is nonexistent, dp wasn't paid for 3 weeks temping he did last month (acas dealing with the agency) and hasn't been paid in the new one either from the looks of things. The mortgage goes out tomorrow and we have £41 for the month. Fuck.

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 02/07/2012 15:37

Oh Strawberry I hope everything works out for you both.

Pidj can you get an emergency mortgage break or something like that? Sorry I don't know anything about mortgages.... What do you need to buy with your £41, just food?

PurplePidjin · 02/07/2012 15:51

The £41 is it. For the month. Mortgage, electric, gas, water, phone, tv licence, car and home insurances, petrol, council tax, food, clothes that actually fit me, everything.

Fuck.

Strawberry and Pidj I really feel for you both, it's such a crappy time for this to happen. My DP lost his job as of today and they're saying they can't pay him for at least a month, but I imagine it'll be a massive fight trying to get it out of the owner since he's a massive tool. We're lucky he works in an industry that are always hiring and take people on at short notice, so should be able to find something quickly to tide us over until his new one starts.

MyDaydream · 02/07/2012 16:06

Pidj can you apply for a crisis loan? If you call everyone now and explain they may be able to help, there's a lot more that can be done before the payment is missed than after in my experience (of both working in call centres and missing lots of payments). I'm thinking of you.

Clarella · 02/07/2012 16:21

So sorry to hear about bad job news and lack of pay guys. Thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed for you all. Definately call the mortgage company pidg and see what they can do x

SpottyTeacakes · 02/07/2012 16:31

I hope you all get sorted, we've had times when dp hasn't been paid, it's a nightmare :(

CODwidow · 02/07/2012 16:33

Marking my place.
Sorry to hear all the bad job news not good at all.

Feeling a little better today tiredness wise but still spent all morning in the loo not good when you have 4 ds's to get to school.

pmgkt · 02/07/2012 16:40

Not a good day for many today. Hope things can be worked out for you all.

WeeJo08 · 02/07/2012 16:45

Sorry to hear about all of the bad luck with jobs, money, etc. :( I will keep fingers crossed that things pick up soon.

I love the new thread title Grin

I have (so far!) had the most productive day in work since finding out I am pregnant! i.e. I have actually got stuff accomplished! Woop! I mean, obviously now I'm on Mumsnet but still!

17 weeks today for me :) Hope everyone has a lovely evening.
