I'm rubbish with bp - isn't that really low? Yikes hope all goes well spotty.

I'm going to be extra careful nutella, and digging out the factor 2.

Thinking of mini too x

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 11/07/2012 09:50

Spotty my bp was 100/64 on mon. It can't be too low as they didn't mention it and my Zumba instructor said its fine for me to continue with that bp.

Clarella · 11/07/2012 09:52

Lol pidg - I informed DH of breast pads last night. I love seeing him learn stuff its so cute. He asked what the placenta was at the wkend, bless. mind you I'm learning about steel girders, the drying time of concrete and dpc.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2012 09:53

It is on the low side for me but it's better than high Smile

PurplePidjin · 11/07/2012 09:58

Low is fine. I've been 120/80 for years (on pill so regular checks) so queried it when i came up as 110/55. It's because your blood has further to travel into the placenta and back, so the force isn't as strong. Only worrying if you ferl sick or dizzy :)

thanks all for your best wishes and Blush at not having reported back - I spent lots of Monday in hospital, mostly just waiting to be seen! midwife found heartbeat Smile but then sent me to A&E, I waited there for ages but they then decided no further action needed Confused so I went home . Anyway good to hear the bean's heartbeat and I think the bleeding is probably nothing, though still having a tiny bit of pink.

Thank you!

Clarella · 11/07/2012 10:04

Ah good news mini! x

knottyhair · 11/07/2012 10:12

Great news mini!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 11/07/2012 10:19

Glad everything's ok mini!

I do get dizzy but only of I have my hands above my head for too long, so I just avoid that lol and I think a lot of that is to do with my blood sugar too as its worst on the days I can't keep food down Confused

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 11/07/2012 10:23

mini I hope you didn't think I was stalking you Blush just we were all concerned about you and when I saw your post I thought I could grab your attention lol

emilyeggs · 11/07/2012 10:27

Awwww! mini so happy Grin glad things are ok

itsMYNutella · 11/07/2012 10:28

Ahhh that's good news mini!
Thanks for the tip on the bp pidj I was at the doc's on Monday (16week checknup) and my bp is fine but I sometimes feel sluggish or light headed. Especially in the afternoon... Ah well, the joys of pregnancy :o

Clarella · 11/07/2012 10:33

My preggo yoga teacher says every session that the heart of a pregnant woman works as hard as that of someone climbing a mountain! (not entirely sure how that fits with my knowledge of human physiology) but explains the out of breath bit!

Stacey not surprised you are dizzy still being sick all the time, it must be awful

StrawberrytallCAKE · 11/07/2012 10:35

bubbless I've missed a few pages, sorry! I was rushing around the ward with adrenaline after having dd not resting at all, thought I felt fine. We got home and ALL of dh's family were there with balloons, pizza, cakes having a party for the first girl in the family. This was a lovely thought but I'd only given birth hours earlier. Didn't get any sleep all day (I laboured overnight the night before) and 'd'h slept all of that night while I tried to come to terms with a tiny newborn who wouldn't sleep. I was still living on adrenaline for the following week, dh didn't really understand the concept of shared responsibility until I collapsed with exhaustion. I feel like that night to be calm and understand dd and how I was feeling in hospital would have made a lot of difference to me.

Having said that if I were to have a home birth I would ban all visits for the first few days anyway and dh is going to be taking on night time feeds solely for two weeks so I know it would be different this time. I hate taking advice or giving advice but the only thing I would suggest to anyone is to rest as much as you possibly can after giving birth and let people help, anyone who wants you to make them a cup of tea should be told to f the f off shown the door.

Sorry this is a long one! It was so sunny 10 minutes ago and now it's black outside and raining heavily. I might take dd to the aquarium, she's only doing Monday afternoons at nursery for the holidays...eeek!

WeeJo08 · 11/07/2012 10:37

Great news mini Grin Glad everything is good with Mini-Minipie :)

Stacey My friend has lent me her Doppler (she is 36 weeks so has plenty of movement to reassure her!) and we tried it for the first time at home on Monday night. We loved it and it was so fab for DH to hear our little Shnarf "live and unplugged" for the first time! Grin He loved it! I also think he felt all medical-y which he liked....my very own McDreamy (for those of you who watch Grey's Anatomy!)

StrawberrytallCAKE · 11/07/2012 10:38

I totally missed your bleeding episode mini really pleased you and the baby are ok, silly pregnancy is quite scary.

minipie · 11/07/2012 11:15

no I don't feel stalked stacey just cared about which is lovely

TBH I've had tiny bleeds on and off since about 6 weeks pg (probably about 6 times now) so in a weird way I'm getting used to it and not worrying so much as at the start. Unfortunately I am rhesus negative which means they worry more about bleeds in case I need the anti D jab, so I still end up having to go to hospital every time... I'm sooo behind at work!

WeeJ I have a doppler too, it has definitely helped calm me down whenever I have a worry like the bleeding as I can still hear Minimini's heart loud and clear. DH loves it - I definitely think it helps him to get used to the idea of an actual little person inside me (as opposed to just me getting fatter Grin)

Strawb that party after your DDs birth sounds like a lovely idea but my worst nightmare!! Especially with your DH then sleeping through - mine will definitely get the cold water/kick in the shins treatment if he tries that!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2012 11:20

Glad everything's ok mini

Mmm McDreamy......Wink

Got to hear heartbeat again Grin a lot clearer this time. 4 weeks until 20 week scan!

minipie · 11/07/2012 11:27

Ah Grey's Anatomy... I'd go for McSteamy (Mark) rather than McDreamy actually.

WeeJo08 · 11/07/2012 11:33

Or....Doctor Avery. Swoooooooooon! Wink

emilyeggs · 11/07/2012 11:36

Heard the heartbeat today Smile was in and out the appointment in no time! All is well. I have to go back at two today to see the anaesthesiologist to check my back from when I broke it falling out a window two years ago (I was cleaning it). Should be fine though as I don't plan on having an epidural and my back doesn't cause me any problems now.

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2012 11:38

Mmmm McSteamy, I'm not fussed I'd have any of them Wink

SpottyTeacakes · 11/07/2012 11:41

That's great emily best to double check with them anyway, although the risk is low if you had to have an emcs you would want it in your notes that you can have one so they don't get scared and give you a general. The anaesthetist I saw last time told me to go on Mumsnet because they're a wealth of information Hmm Grin

emilyeggs · 11/07/2012 11:55

Ha ha that's true! Although I don't know how much info I can contribute! Think I'm gonna have to get into Greys Anatomy now!
