just been to my first nct scrum nearly new sale, a daunting prospect when i'd not even begun to consider what i might need. Can't go wrong with a pile of white all in ones and i've erred on the boy side for more stylised things as a boyish girl might pass as cool but a boy in dresses would possibly be frowned upon.

thought i wanted a boy and that i'd have difficulty coming around to the idea of a girl but i'm a seamstress and i'm finding it really hard to resist the urge to start creating pretty dresses.

anyone else admit to secretly harbouring a preference?

I think I would prefer a girl purely for the fact that there is a type of muscular dystrophy in my family and I think it's easier for the girls who have it. I know that sounds awful. I would love a boy if I knew he wouldn't get the horrible disease just have to wait and see though

prunella- was the nct nearly new a hoard of hormonal women?! we have one in our area coming up soon as i was thinking about going!!

me and dp both think its going to be a boy based on feelings, but i really want a girl. me and my mum always had a really close relationship but my mum and brother never really got on!! i think id be happy either way though :))

I can't shake off the feeling that I'm having a girl, but if I'm honest, if I could choose, I'd like another boy. But I think it's just because I "know" boys IYKWIM. I guess it would be nice to have one of each, but one of my friend's DDs has just turned 11 and is a bloody nightmare all of a sudden, and I can remember how awful I was as a teenager! Still, it's not as if boys don't have their problems and I know every child is an individual but still...

Had sausage and chips last night when DH came home - yum! I would say back on the straight and narrow today but I watched Saturday Kitchen this morning and James Martin did a sticky toffee pudding so I am going to make that later!! I'm making it "for hubby" of course!

bubbless not unlike an old fashioned jumble sale but markedly fewer old ladies and smelly clothes. the room was quite stuffy though and a few ladies were looking a bit harangued.
some great bargains to be had though, best for people who are nct paid-up members as they get early entry to nab the best stuff.
costs a quid to get in but anyone can go.

After we found out yesterday we went and bought our little boy a little outfit for next summer - some very soft little trousers and a t.shirt with a camper van and animals on it (DH loves camper vans!) and then I get him a little linen shirt for over the too - so he'll look just like daddy. Completely impractical but will be very cute for the 30 seconds he where's it!

Ah sounds so cute honey. I'm going hit tk maxx tomorrow has they had a few unusual bits there last week. Didn't end up doing any shopping today we went to lakeside and they have a crap selection of baby bits then went to see dps family and didn't get out of there for ages

I've pencilled in my local nct sale for October - we've just missed out.

The scan was lovely although she didn't want to play ball at first - I had to do some belly dancing on the bed to make her unclamp them! She was suckling away and punching with her arms - her little feet were so sweet. Must figure out how to load scans! X

No just 3d The sonographer recommended the 4d between 28-30 weeks - tempting!

I wasn't sure what was normally done- when we went they did a couple of 4d to tempt us for later on! DH really wants to do it!
