had gender scan tonight (babybond).
It was good to see the baby again and reassuring in a way. Amazing to see how the legs have grown from little buds to proper legs, as well as the definition in the toes. However, the 4D is a bit spooky (17wks) it was complimentary and she did not ask before flicking the switch. Not quite looking too baby like :)
Back to the 2D black and white and all was well. The baby had legs crossed in lotus position, obstructing the view (apparently because I had not eaten since 8am).
The sonographer eventually had a peek and it looks like we're having a baby girl. Really pleased!

Welcome to new people, and congrats, marasme! we had the 3d freeview as well and it is weird at this gestation.

pud it wud of been having a 'rest period' (MWs dnt say sleeping?) It prob shocked u as u were expecting a raver!But baby was too relaxed n cosey in ur warm tummy :) Please dnt worry.Maybe its a sign itl b a good sleeper!x

Theres plenty of pink on here now still in two minds about finding out.

Finally started feeling human again I'm 15 +1 now n I'm hoping that this is a good thing midwife this week hoping to hear the little ones heartbeat.

I asked my friend about hearing the heartbeat and they won't do it here because there were lots of complaints about them not finding it and the mothers becoming very stressed. They do it after the 20 week scan now to be safe.

I've ballooned this week (16+3)! Suddenly can't suck my tummy in and have just been generally feeling huge - its only going to get worse though and being 5'2", I'm going to look like a weeble by January!

On the gender neutral clothes front, I was in Tesco this morning and they had some cute stuff. Boots have had a few things too. I only get to look at all the cute stuff - my hubby is very superstitious so I'm not allowed to buy ANYTHING until it's born, apart from what is needed in the hospital. He's going to do John Lewis click and collect when I'm in labour and collect it before we need to go home!!

Oof! I feel quite uncomfortable today. Uterus seem to be squishing my intestines a bit, everything feels a bit ... displaced? Widget is definitely awake this morning, I'm getting booted just above my hip on the left and drummed on the right.

Peace and quiet this morning so I'm taking an hour just to slob on the sofa with coffee and jabber on in here

well i'm in one of those am i still pregnant moods. 17wks i heard the hb and everythin a couple of weeks agobut now im in that limbo period... did i or did i not feel movement or not?!!!? its HORRIBLE might hafto get one of these dopplers :-\

Just found this thread and as baby is due in January will also join if that's OK. I have added myself to list below. Baby is due on 7 January, so am now 16 weeks. This will be our first child. Haven't got a bump yet, so just look fat, but have felt a few flutters in my tummy so not sure whether that's baby or just indigestion! I have had a couple of miscarriages in past so am absolutely delighted to get to this stage and am now really enjoying pregnancy. I am oldest person here as am 44 and was amazed when I found out I was pregnant as my hubby and I thought it wasn't meant to be after the previous miscarriages.

Welcome, Complicated How are you feeling?

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, and my morning sickness is almost gone. I go for about 10 days with nothing, and then it reappears. Heartburn has gotten considerably worse though, but I've managed to ease it slightly by not scoffing Rowntrees Randoms!

I've got a definite bump the last few days, but it could be the clothes I've been wearing. Although a few people have pointed out that 'it's baking nicely'.

Managing to sleep all night now without having to get up for a wee, and my sex drive is through the roof

CreepyCrawly I am feeling so much better. Only time I feel sick now is when I brush my teeth and end up gagging. Not a pleasant sound! I'm still having to get up to go to loo a couple of times in night and waiting for sex drive to go through the roof. Probably a good thing as DH is working mega long hours with Olympics so comes home and crashes out on sofa!
PricklyPickle We haven't made up our mind on whether to find out sex. I want too as I'm impatient, but DH doesn't think he wants to know. We have both agreed to find out or not as I couldn't keep it a secret from him. Like you names will be a problem as we both like very different ones!
Feet I haven't got a clue either. Everyone says instincts kick in, so just hope I develop them before EDD!

I went to my first antenatal yoga class yesterday and developed serious bump envy. Everyone else had gorgeous bumps and I just looked like a fat interloper. Not yet sure whether it is my thing or not as a bit too much chanting and relaxing for me, but will give it a couple of weeks before I make my mind up. Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

feet trust me, i know nothing about any of this -my friends were shocked when i told them as they all know how i feel about kids in general and to be fair i'm still not overly keen on those snotty nosed kids throwing a tantrum in the post office or in the supermarket!! I just tell myself that mine will of course be different hahahaha!!!

I have been to a few baby shops and just walked out totally baffled, there is so much choice and what do you really need versus marketing hype???

However, i sat down with DH yesterday afternoon and have compiled a spreadsheet with everything we do need and estimated budget allowances against each.

It's made me feel a lot better but whilst i understand he doesn't want to buy too much too soon, i think we need to start, in order to start spreading the cost now - particularly as we've just ordered a new living room suite too!! [smile}

coldfeet I am also feeling very disorganised compared to many on this thread. I am trying to finish off my p/t masters by December which is taking up all of my spare time at the moment (well apart from a bit of MNing ). I have got a bit behind due to feeling sick and exhausted for the last couple of months, and am playing catch-up now. I will hand in my dissertation at the beginning of December and am due in late Jan, so I figure I will have up to two months at the end where I can get up to date on antenatal classes, pelvic floor exercises, nursery decoration, and whatever else it is I am supposed to be doing .

I am so giddy excited....I'm 99% sure that I'm starting to feel movement (17wks with first baby) Was lay on the sofa earlier and it felt like something fizzing underneath my bellybutton and then a little while later on my right side. Tried to explain it to my hubby like the bubbles from a fizzy drink popping on the inside of my belly....I am quite windy at the mo but it didn't feel like wind..... didn't actually feel like anything else I've ever felt.....what does everyone think????

Also bought a little pack of all in ones from Tesco with the monthly shop....going to get a few bits each time we go now to start stocking up...we have been very lucky, my sister in law works in a nursery department and has managed to get us a load of ex display stuff for free (Moses basket, cot bed, buggy and breast pump so far!!!) so going to pick that up in a few weeks :)

Have just got back from a holiday to Wales with my parents, sister and niece(2) and nephew (6) Me and the hubby were ridiculously broody and kept giving each other (OH MY GOD WERE GONNA HAVE ONE OF THESE SOON!!!!!!!) looks :)

Oh and on a note.....my tummy is now rivaling my husbands in hair growth!! (ok that may be a bit of an exaggeration but I am rocking quite a belly rug!!)

Hope everyone is doing well and starting to feel a bit more energised and less vommy!x
