Good luck swiss :)

LittleLolly · 26/06/2012 09:46

Good luck swiss hope the day goes quickly!! I got an iCandy too, the peach2. Managed to get about £150 off everything so was very pleased! Can't wait to use it!

Congrats jaylee on your little girl!

For the ladies who have been pregnant before, when do you start seeing the baby move in your belly? I feel him a lot, and DH can feel the big movements. I'm 22 weeks now.

Iheartpasties · 26/06/2012 09:52

Hi,

I had two or three injections of anti-d with my first pregnancy and I have had one with this one so far. They suggest you get one as a precaution if you have any bleeding, so that's why I had an extra one last time and an early one this time. I didnt have much bleeding but they make you feel a bit paranoid about it so I thought I'd better get one! I was in A&E for 6 hours waiting to get it though, very tedious.

My GP was super keen I got one, but the A&E doctor had told me I didn;t really need the injection but she owuld give it to me anyway.

I cannot remember when you see your belly move with the baby, my brain is really all mushy this week. I think the baby has had a growth spurt, I am so tired it's not true. I think it has stollen some more of my brain as well :)

ditsygem · 26/06/2012 10:03

Congratulations to everyone who has had their scans this week and found out the flavour! how exciting!
Good luck to all those with scans coming up - its a busy time for us Nov mummies right now isn't it?!

I am A- as well so have an anti-D injection booked for 28 weeks. I'm not good with injections but they seem to take so much blood in pregnancy that I am getting used to it now!
I really want to look at prams but I'm working both days this weekend (so that will be 7 working days in a row - urggh). This week I am starting to feel really pregnant if that makes sense - just getting bigger and slower and more out of breath all ready. I think my instinct is telling me to go into hibernation - if only we could do that!

Iheartpasties · 26/06/2012 10:17

gosh ditsygem I am the same, I feel suddenly that I'm quite pregnant and my body wants me to slow down!

The anti d injections r fine, no side effects for me and not painful at all.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 26/06/2012 10:35

Gosh these threads move so quickly! :)

I have my scan Monday so will hopefully find out the sex of little bean, I had a scan last week just to check after some light bleeding, he/she is perfect in there but we couldn't tell the sex as there were far tom many somersaults going on to even take measurements let alone anything else.

Is anyone else struggling with hormones?
I haven't been until now but I am finding myself on the edge of tears all the time, about everything! It's a nightmare.
I'm not sure I had it with the last 2 but god it's awful this time. My brain is processing silly questions and doubts that I would never normally bother about! Argh!

MissMummy1 · 26/06/2012 10:37

Congrats on all the scan results and good luck to everyone with one coming up this week! I'm not for another few weeks (Friday 13th, good luck I'm not superstitious!) and getting really impatient waiting. Think I must be one of the last.

I'm absolutely knackered today. Don't think I've slept properly for about a week and the inconsiderate bint downstairs has stopped me having a lie in the past two days. Her yappy dog was barking all day yesterday (made worse by the fact it's a sub-clause in our missives that noone in the development is actually allowed a dog due to the extra factoring costs, grr) and I can only assume she was having work done today if the amount of banging and drilling at 7.30am was anything to go by! Heaven help her when DH starts nightshifts next week if she keeps this up. She's annoyed everyone in the building now so it's only a matter of time before someone makes a formal complaint.

Trying to summon enough energy to go and get ready for work this afternoon, then getting spoilt with dinner at my mum's tonight as DH is offshore till late!

horseylady · 26/06/2012 10:41

Good luck to all with scans!!!!

I'm a+ so no nasty jabs for me :) yay!!

I can see the baby move in my belly very strange. He also objected very strongly everytime I rolled onto my belly last night!!

In an unrelated pregnancy matter (nothing to do with babies at all)!! There was a hedgehog in my garden last night. I wondered what the puppy was finding so fascinating as I put the chickens to bed and there it was rolled up looking very cute!! He'd gone this morning!! I told him to eat as many slugs as possible!! But that he'd be better in the top garden as the chickens tend to eat the ones in the bottom!!

applepieinthesky · 26/06/2012 10:45

I feel really uncomfortable this morning. I keep getting these really heavy aches which come and go right across my middle where the bottom of the uterus is.

Please tell me it?s normal?

ShellyBobbs · 26/06/2012 10:46

LittleLolly Can't really remember how many weeks, about 28 seems to ring a bell but I could be wrong......

I have to have blood took every 4 weeks so it's really nothing for me, I'm well used to it. I had to take my youngest with me last time and she looked like she was going to be sick :)

I've been going really dizzy the last couple of days, it was that bad yesterday I actually fell over in the shed, wish I had not said anything to hubby though, I've got him all worried now. It is my blood pressure, it was really low when I had it took a couple of weeks ago.

Just laughing at the Graham Norton show with Will.i.am, Greg Davies and Miriam Margolyes, it's got to be the funniest thing on telly for many years Grin

ShellyBobbs · 26/06/2012 10:51

apple I'm the same, maternity belt might sort that out, mine's great.

Bump hasn't grown at all for about 3 weeks, think it's playing catch up though as it went huge. I've read there is a growth surge between 20-21 weeks so any tiredness, stretching, stomach pains and what not can be directly contributed to this I think.

My stomach has certainly expanded rapidly in the last week and seems to be bigger every day so that's probably what it is. I've got a maternity support belt but haven't felt the need to wear it yet. Perhaps I need to now. It was so uncomfortable a little while ago that I had to get up from my desk and go outside for a walk.

ShellyBobbs · 26/06/2012 11:08

It stopped my back ache almost too, I only wear it in the house though Blush

jaylee & Lane Congratulations on the girls :)

applepieinthesky · 26/06/2012 11:12

Congrats Lane

Does anyone have any good over the bump maternity trousers and where did you get them from?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 26/06/2012 11:15

I got all my maternity jeans from Newlook, only place that seems to do them in a short leg length which I need, they are cheap enough not to break the bank and it meant I could get a few colours and styles, all over the bump for me, I find the under bump ones uncomfortable.

jaylee89 · 26/06/2012 11:41

lolly i was 20 weeks on sunday and o my scan last week i was measuring two days small damn it!!! lol but no worries she will catch that up :)

im seeing movements now and quite regular but the scan women said she has very strong legs which takes after her daddy lol.

if i lay on my back i see her moving alot! ive been told its because im slim and my uterus is more prominent but god knows lol with my DD i didnt see my belly moving until around 26-27 weeks and it was in the bath. dont worry sweetie it shouldnt be long.

good luck to everyone having scans today xxxx

jaylee89 · 26/06/2012 11:43

ye newlook is amazing i got 3 pairs of maternity jeans at only 15.99 a pair and they are super comfy. i got over the bump and under and both are very comfortable.

ShellyBobbs · 26/06/2012 11:43

I got some excellent over the bump mat pants from ebay, there are tons and tons on there, mine are Next ones and I'm hoping they'll fit me after because they are so comfy, just stretchy material.

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/06/2012 11:44

Ive got three pairs of mat jeans. One from new look one from Dorothy Ps and one from topshop. New look is best for comfort and topshop is best for style I think. Haven't tried asos/ next/ m&s so cant comment on those.

I've also got mat white linen trousers from h&m which I love.

MissMummy1 · 26/06/2012 11:48

Ebay is definitely great for maternity clothes. I got two pairs of next maternity work trousers for 99p and they're Fab! Both were never worn with tags on too :-)

horseylady · 26/06/2012 12:10

Congrats on the girl!!! My bump steadily growing, depends on the time of day!!! Last week was a definite spurt which was 20-21 weeks for me so that could be correct!!

I'm just struggling to concentrate but that's because I don't like this research!! If it was interesting it'd be ok , but I'll never use it again so it feel pointless!!

NervousAt20 · 26/06/2012 12:10

Congratulations Lane looks like pink numbers might start to even out abit Grin

I only have one pair and there from Dorothy Perkins, there really comfie not over the bump though. These are the only ones I've tried so my advice might be crap! Going to try some from new look
