Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
applepieinthesky · 25/06/2012 15:24

Wow that's a tiny baby. He must look like a little doll!

SwissArmyWife · 25/06/2012 15:44

Aww that's dinky, my DD was 6lbs 9 and I thought that was small!

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/06/2012 16:21

Yeah he did look like a little doll! She's having to use those micro baby nappies which are about the size of a handkerchief!

He was born on his due date too, she said none of the clothes she'd got him fit.

applepieinthesky · 25/06/2012 17:09

At least he'll have lots of clothes that he can grow in to. My auntie's baby was such a whopper they can't fit newborn sized clothes over his head! So she thought she had loads of clothes but a lot of them he won't even get to wear.

ShellyBobbs · 25/06/2012 17:28

daisychain76 My other children are 7, 10 and 12, no way did I feel like I'd finished after 2, there was a definite space for another and my goodness it has been filled, the youngest has absolutely no fear and comes out with the most random comments every day. Having 3 is an absolute joy, mine all really get on well and look out for each other. Your family is what you make it, I couldn't have had 4 with the 2 year gap between them because I wouldn't have been able to have quality time that young children need, I found I was always on my toes with 3. Now I'm on my fourth, I am just sorry that we don't have more space in the house because now there will be an 8 year gap and I would quite happily have another after this one with the 1 -2 year gap although hubby just looked at me like I was a loony when I told him that. Don't let anyone scare you, it's the best thing.

MissMummy Thanks for the compliment on my eldest, she is a bit more mature than me Blush

jaylee89 · 25/06/2012 17:35

hello ladies.

i havent posted in about 5 weeks and catching up on all these posts has taken me 2 and a half hours :O.

we had our scan last thursday and we are having another girl :D was adament it was a boy but we are so excited its another little princess.

congratulations on everyones scans.

little my dear i am so so so sorry to hear about your loss :( take care of yourself sweetie.

new look have a great range of maternity clothes and at a very reasonable price indeed!

YellowWellies · 25/06/2012 19:17

Woo jaylee - a girl!!!!! How cool - they're rare creatures around these parts...

Passmethecrisps · 25/06/2012 19:30

A wee girl! Congrats jaylee!

I am officially pooped. I came home from work today and thought I would lie down with a cup of tea - an hour later I open my eyes to find cold tea. Not been very well today. Sore throat, head and sinuses. Thought I had shifted that last week. To top it off I felt absolutely nothing from sausage today - not a wiggle or a flutter. After a weekend of full on disco dancing this has been a touch disconcerting. However, I have a glass of ginger ale (what is the difference between that and ginger beer?) and sausage is wiggling again. Maybe he's tired too?

Got a call today to say my scan has been postponed. Not by much - Wednesday rather than tuesday. Bit gutted because I would have got a long lie if it had been tomorrow - one track mind!

Went to see my boss today to run past my maternity plans with him. He was fab - really supportive and full of reassurances that it was all my own decision and what was right for my family. He said at one point about after the baby was born I would be returning to work as a mother. It really made me start - I honestly don't think i have thought about it along those lines. I am very lucky to have such an accommodating work place - I know others don't have it so easy.

SwissArmyWife · 25/06/2012 19:42

jaylee congratulations, girls are definitely rare on this thread!

passme I hope you get better soon and sorry to hear about your postponed lie in scan, but hope it goes well on Wednesday :)

I am very happy today, I managed to get the pushchair i've been wanting with everything i'll need for about £200 cheaper than I thought i'd be paying!
I went for the icandy pear twin, have tried it out a couple of times in shops and just loved it, so that's another thing ticked off on the long list of baby things!

Evilwater · 25/06/2012 20:17

Hello everyone,
Just thought I'd check in, not much happening here. I've got my specs and I'm learning about living with glasses. I've piged out on mac Donald's tonight.

I've worked 4 nights, in tight uniforms. My manger said to me "you can phone x and get the uniforms off her. I'm sure you can find her number" she lives about 30 miles away from me.

My son has a day where he is active most of the day, and then the day after almost nothing. Anyone else getting this?

I'm going to look back on the previous posts, and everyone has been busy.

kirrinIsland · 25/06/2012 20:29

Blimey Swiss that sounds like a good saving.

I missed out on a Phil and Teds on eBay yesterday by 4p! There's loads on there though, and I've got plenty of time.

mrswee I've had dreams like that! I also frequently dream that I go out for the night and forget that DD is asleep upstairs and just leave here in the house on her own :( I wake up in a panic and it takes me ages to calm down I am clearly weird

Congratulations jaylee and welcome to the pink corner :) it's a bit quiet but perhaps there'll be a few more joining us this week?!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 25/06/2012 20:42

Hello everyone. Ive just been catching up, goodness we talk a lot! I have my scan tomorrow afternoon...i am terrified! Haven't felt movement for a while so maybe what i felt was just gas!

I have three and yes shelleybobs they are a joy most of the time, until they gang up on me! They are 7,5 and 22 months, I feel like this is my last, I have spent my thirties having them and I will spend my forties enjoying them.

Have had a lovely lazy day today at a friend who is days off giving birth, made me feel svelte in comparison!

Good luck all for the weeks scans.

Xxxx

mrswee · 25/06/2012 21:00

kirrin I've had that dream too.. many times!

I'm really not keen on my phil and teds, I've hardly used it, got it for off road and dealing wit the heavy snow but it came with all the doubles stuff so have used it a few times while looking after friend's kids... it's so heavy I don't think I can handle the thought of it... so I'm thinking of selling

applepieinthesky · 25/06/2012 21:41

Congrats to jaylee on your little girl and Debussyhead on your boy!

3 days to go until I found out. I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. Don't know how I'm going to sleep or concentrate on work for the next couple of days! I went to Next today and spent ages looking at all the baby clothes. I have my eye on a few things and will hopefully be going on a shopping spree there on thursday afternoon Smile

NervousAt20 · 25/06/2012 21:52

Congratulations debussy on your little boy!!

Congratulations jaylee on your little girl! Welcome to team pink :) were seriously outnumbered Grin

Good luck to the ladies with scans this week!

Is it O positive that's the rare blood group if anyone knows?

capedcrusader25 · 25/06/2012 22:03

Hi nervous :)
According to the national bood service O positive people make up about 37% of the population so not rare. I'm A- which means a big fat injection of anti D at 28 weeks :(

NervousAt20 · 25/06/2012 22:07

Thank you caped :) ouch! You have my sympathy! I'm no good with needles at all! One of the things that's awful about pregnacy is them always wanting blood for something and I get into a state :(

Evilwater · 25/06/2012 22:13

Caped- I'm o neg so I also have to have anti d.
Evil

Iheartpasties · 26/06/2012 01:56

I'm O neg as well and have already had one anti d injection this pregnancy, I am due too more.

SwissArmyWife · 26/06/2012 06:15

Evil My little sea monkey alternates between days for movement, too. The day before yesterday was a very active day and yesterday only a few little nudges. It seems to be an emerging pattern! I also think the baby is awake the whole time i'm asleep, so i'm preparing myself for another fully nocturnal babe!

So today is scan day, DD decided to wake me up at 5:30 and scan isn't until 3:30 so i'm going to go spare with the waiting, as is DP!

Good luck to all of you that have your scans today aswell! :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/06/2012 06:59

Good luck at the scan swiss

Congrats jaylee welcome to team pink our girls are rare but beautiful!

I hardly felt the baby at all yesterday but as I'm just 19 weeks I know it's v normal. Still listened to her twice on the Doppler though!

I think scans should only be in the morning, mine is at 4:40 on fri so I'll be waiting ALL DAY.
At least I'll be kept busy packing for the hol and getting all my fuzz waxed off!

Lilliana · 26/06/2012 07:13

Swiss good luck with the scan. Mine is at 3.30 next wed so have all day to wait too.

Lilliana · 26/06/2012 07:18

Oops, somehow posted too soon!

I'm another one having anit-D, A - here. I hate needles too Nervous, pg is not a good time for us Grin Why have you had them already Pasties? Did you have any side effects?

Walking with 90 children a couple miles to a sports event and back today, not looking forward to it as I woke up with more spd pain :( Oh well, hopefully will do me some good.

Good luck to everyone else who has scans coming up.
