Another Boy here, thats 3 more in one day!! I am so very GrinGrinGrin as I never dared to dream it wouldnt be another Girl, and the more people said they were having boys, the more I tried to convince myself I was having DD no5, so as not to be disapointed. Since LITTLE posted her news and dealt with it so very utterly bloody well, it of course lost its importance and put things into perspective but am over the moon still to have a son after 19 years of childbearing, not that all my girls are not wonderful, individual and a blessing too but just feeling very excited to be having blue for a change. Went straight to Mothercare and got babygrows with tractors, soldiers and the like on.Smile Congratulations to the other ladies on wonderful news today too

ValiumQueen · 20/06/2012 19:55

Thorfinn wow! Wish I could use that! A friend of mine suggested calling mine Bear. I think she was joking.

So many boys! Amazing really.

ValiumQueen · 20/06/2012 19:59

Great news Shanelle. So chuffed for you. Poor little lad will have make up on and be dressed in a tutu by his sisters no doubt! He will make a good patient husband one day. I wonder if there are any boys left for me. We must be over our quota, but today I have been wanting a girl. I need a private scan. I need to know so I can get my head around it.

WestWinger · 20/06/2012 20:00

shanelle delighted for you! Is your man over the moon too?

MrsSkinnyLegs · 20/06/2012 20:02

Thanks :)

I'm due on November 14th although I'm in the hospital overnight with tightenings. Very nerve-wracking!

WestWinger · 20/06/2012 20:06

mrsskinnylegs hope you get some sleep tonight. Wishing you a peaceful, uneventful night. Fingers crossed for you x

MissMummy1 · 20/06/2012 20:07

YW Jonas is lovely! My best guy friend Marius is Norwegian and i love nordic names. DH does not... We have a few Scottish names on our list too that i love - Aulay (pronounced Ollie) currently a fav. Delightful SIL's thrown a strop though as it's "too Scottish"?! Grrr..

DH is currently off diving in our local quarry while i sit in the car on shore cover munching giant chocolate buttons. Yummy! Congrats on all today's scans! I still have another 3 bliddy weeks! :-((

shanelle5 · 20/06/2012 20:08

Yes we both are but he maintained all the way through that he didnt mind either way what he meant was I dont want eithr sex as another baby wasnt planned, and what a bloody shock! he is going to have the snip now, good payback for me having to give birth again, snigger.

MrsSkinnyLegs · 20/06/2012 20:11

Thank you WestWinger, so do I :)

And ValiumQueen Bear is a BRILLIANT name...it's been adopted as a nickname for No.1 child in our family.

NervousAt20 · 20/06/2012 20:27

Valium we have Aulay down as a boys name - but it is unisex! I taught a lovely wee boy on my first school placement called Aulay. Probably one of the few kids i wouldn't mind associating my child's name with!! We have freya, rosie, scarlette and lacey on girl's list - needless to say DH hates them all bar rosie (his mum's name) and Aulay, Ruaridh, Thom and flynn on the blue list. I change my mind about what i do and dont like every day so no doubt none of these Will be used! !

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/06/2012 20:34

Congrats shanelle great news!

YellowWellies · 20/06/2012 20:37

Bear is lovely - but Bear Payne? Nope... tis another sodding name that doesn't work! Aulay is really nice too - given the language similarities between Irish and Scots gaelic - sounds like SIL can go take a running jump to me ;) Marius is a really nice name too - but am sure DH would think it too effeminate (think he rejected Gabriel basically because of the first syllable!!!). Boo. For girls I also like Seren which is welsh for star. See with all of these boys, now I have found a boys name I love - I bet we do end up with a girl (which I had wanted all along). God am so fickle, and recent sad events put that into perspective. Shanelle cracking news on a long awaited boy xx

SwissArmyWife · 20/06/2012 20:38

Wow, congratulations ditzy, west and shanelle (I hope i've gotten all the names right!) on your boys!
Amazing how many there are on this thread isn't it! Shock

I'll be (hopefully) finding out what mine is on Tuesday!! I can't wait! Grin

Stuntnun Thank you for what you said, that means a lot :)
I wouldn't say i'm a superb mother but I do my best, which is all any of us can do! :)

Mrsskinny I really hope everything is ok.

Detective I read that thread too (about the sisters pet name), I must admit I did have a bit of a giggle...

Sorry if i've got any of the posts confused, my memory is rubbish!

YellowWellies · 20/06/2012 20:39

Lovely names MissMummy - Freya is on our list and I know the coolest little boo ever called Ruaridh (shortened to Roo). Fab fab fab

SwissArmyWife · 20/06/2012 20:42

Oh and as for names, DP and I have a set name for each, and middle names. Aren't we extremely particular organised?! Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 20/06/2012 21:45

Wow everyone congrats on all the boys and welcome skinny legs I hope everything is ok.

am loving the name Aulay.

Have just to back from a really long day in Paris, made just slightly easier by the Air France staff giving me a pillow on the plane! The Stewards on the way over were giggling trying to ask me if I was pregnant just I case I wasn't but eventually they spat it out and I was really glad of the pillow actually. My back is starting to get a little achy.

Luckily this week have suddenly begun to feel my bump kicking me and I'm so relieved and comforted by it. 20 week scan tomorrow .

I love the name Aulay, it's great.

MissMummy1 · 20/06/2012 21:46

We love it - so far out of our list of hundreds, and I mean HUNDREDS, it's the only one we've not gone off or changed my mind about. Might have to be set as a definite if we're team blue!

mrswee · 20/06/2012 21:47

mrsskinnylegs I was in hospital this weekend with tightenings. I know how you feel.
I was sent home with pain killers in the end and given antibiotics by my own doctor yesterday, even though they didnt find infection at hospital, she thought it was worth a try. Today is the first day I have had no tightenings so feeling very relieved today. I have been in so much pain and so frightened but have spent days in bed and it seems to have done the trick. They will look after you well in hospital. Rest up well and I hope you feel better soon.

Chunkychicken · 20/06/2012 21:49

Bump has been very subdued today after feeling quite a few movements every day :( Have had a busy, stressful day & keep hoping its the fact I haven't stopped at all.

Also, having to chase my scan results up tomorrow - I still haven't got them after 5wks!!! I assume I'm not high risk, but still... Angry

MrsSkinnyLegs · 20/06/2012 21:53

mrswee I'm glad to hear you're home and well. Did the hospital scan your cervix? And how far along are you? I'm on progesterone to help prevent premature labour and there are mutterings about a cervical cerclage if the blood results show no infection. Frankly, I'm pooping myself!

mrswee · 20/06/2012 22:07

mrsskinny they had a look at my cervix and said it was still closed and looked fine.
They said if I was going into labour they wouldn't do anything as I'm 17 weeks (today) which was not reassuring. Good to hear your hospital takes it more seriously
However they think the pregnancy is fine because my cervix is closed and heartbeat good, so that's a relief. I had a scan on monday too to check baby
I was in hospital for the pain I was having, like a labour pain that wasn't coming and going just there for hours on end. Dyhydrocodein wasn't even helping the pain. Every time a doctor finally managed to see me, it had calmed down again so they never did feel how tight my uterus was while the pain was happening, they just had to take my word for it. So it has been put down as unexplained abdominal pain for now. When I go for my check up I am going to push the issue that my belly was really hard during the pain so they take that into consideration when trying to work out what was wrong with me, and note it incase it happens again.
It looks like me and you are going to have to take things easy from now on! good luck, I now it's hard but try not to worry. Worry doesn't help but the progesterone will!
