ffnorm if doing a handstand means this little monkey moves I'll try anything!!!!

Chiropractor today, not turned but LO has not stopped kicking or moving since the appointment at 2pm today. Fingers crossed I wake up tomorrow and she's moved!! Spent most of the evening lying forwards on my bean bag or breech tilting too.

Hope everyone gets a good nights sleep. Welcome to newbies too .

Fanbelt · 21/05/2012 22:50

Hi all, just read through 5 pages of posts - great to hear how everyone's getting on and sorry I haven't posted for a while.

Great news about your DH TDW.

Welcome aboard to Anna. Love the story about your DH's reaction to lack of prep during birth of your DC1.

Rhihaf my c-section is booked for 41 wks because I want to have a VBAC so they're giving me lots of time to go into labour naturally. I think policy probably varies from hospital to hospital and consultant to consultant though.

Blondie sounds like you're really close now - so exciting!

I'm feeling extremely fatigued at the moment - have been having several snoozes throughout the day just to give me the energy to keep going. DH is being brilliant sorting stuff out at home and getting everything ready - he's even packed a hospital bag for himself! Would love to do something special for him - very impressed with your fishy cookery small - but I just don't have the energy at the moment.

I've been having loads of painful BHs at night recently - keep thinking is this it...? and then nothing happens. Also I'm slightly worried that my waters will break and I won't notice. Could really do with LO arriving in the next day or so 'cos have got DS1's birthday sleepover planned for this Friday (and spent a small fortune on cinema tickets for them to see MIB3 including paying extra for bloody 3d glasses). And DH has got two gigs on Saturday - one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Sods law dictates that LO will decide to make her appearance on Friday/Saturday... Confused

PinkPanther27 · 21/05/2012 22:54

Damn pc, wrote a really long post and its gone! Too tired to write it all again. McKayz I have the Babystyle oyster in grape!
Hope u all sleep well tonight

bemybebe · 22/05/2012 00:50

Pink and McKayz Oh, I looked at Babystyle oyster in grape and it does look gorgeous! it looks very similar in style (at least the carrycot) to our Uppababy, but we went for a green one. Also cannot wait to put our baby there :)

Fan I have a lot of unpleasant BH, but they are not really painful. They feel like someone wraps my waist in a bedsheet and slowly and relentlessly tightning it. Very weird feeling. Yesterday I was really panicking that this is IT... but no, not yet, thank goodness. I am still only 35+4 and displaying all sorts of signs that things may be close (tmi for here, but no plug yet as with blondie). The consultant said to take it easy until my friday appointment when they will scan me and see what is going on. Spent most of the day on the sofa today and it is definitely eased off...

Special ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ hopefully something will work for your LO. A friend had an ECV and said it was easy and successful and she was so happy to escape cs. Maybe I missed it, but did you consider it??

Tea I used to be in SW London (St Margarets/Richmond border), but Wisley is really close, so I will try my best to join you guys! Is the babyTea photo on facebook (I am hopeless, sorry)...

Welcome to all the newbies and hi to everyone again!

Smallwonder · 22/05/2012 02:47

You'd have thought that after an evening of cooking, bath, tidy up etc it'd be a piece of cake to fall asleep by midnight and get something in the way of sleep... Obviously not Angry
Just want some sleeeeeeeeep Hmm

10000fireflies · 22/05/2012 05:56

Morning all! Are we nearly there yet?? Friend of mine due day before me (15th) is having c-sec within week. D day fast approaching!

Up since stupid o' clock so made DH sarnies. Hope you all get some lovely weather today.

Waves to all.

TheLittleMe · 22/05/2012 06:18

I'm in SW London tooooo! Live in Hampton and work in Sheen :) definitely up for a meet up, as have done no classes and only know a couple of pregnant women from work.

9 more working days for me too, can't remember who was saying about asking the bursar about whether 1/2 term would be on full pay? I work in a school too, and am in the same position, so will break up for 1/2 term on 1st June, but my mat leave doesn't actually start until everyone goes back on the 11th June :) apparently this is standard practice so I'm sure you will be the same. This is the only reason I am working up until 12 days before my ELCS!

I have developed the most hideous rash and patch of stretchmarks on my tummy :( feeling a bit shit about it to be honest as managed to escape having a tummy full of tiger stripes with my son, and the itching is driving me crazy. from googling I think it might be PUPPP rash so will ask the midwife on Thurs.

CathFin · 22/05/2012 07:07

I had a random one last time I went to Wisley and bumped into heaps of people I knew from SW London - obviously the place to go on a bank hol Monday!
I'm going to visit a friend in New Malden today and her two little ones.

Rather tired, DS coughed for an hour again last night - wish he had some other kind of symptom as I'm very bemused by what to do about it. Will prop his bed tonight to see if that makes a difference.

CathFin · 22/05/2012 07:09

TheLittle - I'm waiting on my stretch marks - I'm sure they were already very apparent with DS at this point but with DD they didn't appear until I went past my due date (how annoying!).
Have you been to the open air pool in Hampton? I did that first time around with my NCT group when we were pregnant and it was lovely!

TheLittleMe · 22/05/2012 08:20

I got stretchmarks down my sides with me son, which were pretty deep, and appeared a couple of days past my due date! Very annoying. I don't mind the actual stretchmarks, its the itchy rash that is killing me, I feel like scratching with a blunted knife!

I grew up going to the open air pool in Hampton! But haven't been when pregnant. No way would I put on a swimming costume at 37 weeks, I look grotesque!!

Smallwonder · 22/05/2012 10:25

Morning all,
Was I alone in my insomnia last night?
I finally woke DH up at 4.30am and he helped me sleep :) I managed a whole 2 hours whoo hoo!

The sunshine is unbelievable here, already so very warm! I'm going to do nothing but all the laundry and hang out with DS3 (and sleep too if possible!)

No news from Blondie? Perhaps just having some quality time with her mum :)

Right, onwards and upwards, have a great morning all x

Warlin · 22/05/2012 10:28

Morning everyone

blondie any news?? You have gone quiet!

Another day closer....3 more working days after today (so really 4 as it's only after 10!) I agree that more than 2 days on the trot is a real struggle.

Was at the vets first thing this morning as my dog has been limping really badly for the past couple of days...anyway she has swollen leg glands caused by a fall and a skin infection so vet gave me some steroid cream and told me to be careful to wash my hands as it could bring on premature labour Wink.....My vet is also incredibly fit so that made my morning Grin

I'm getting stressed as we seem to keep getting invited to things over the next few weeks (birthdays, family events etc). I just really want the last few weeks to myself and not having to commit to polite conversation and being the taxi driver....I feel selfish but I wish people would just leave us alone!!

fan great that your DH has packed his hospital bag! I wish mine was more organised but he is always last minute and I can guarantee hasn't even thought about it. I have told him to fill the ipod with nice relaxing music.....bet he won't get round to it :( I think it won't really hit him until I go into labour, by which time it will be too late.

kveta did you get finished up yesterday? Very Envy.

littleme I'm waiting for stretch marks too...sorry to hear yours have arrived.

I have a feeling today is going to be another long one......roll on June!!

justwantcheese · 22/05/2012 10:42

Hi roodle gwennie, amethyst, warring, not long now until mat leave, bet you all can't wait.
Special hope all these new positions means you Lo has moved.
Fanbelt hope you manage to get a few snoozes in before the big event, I admire you for having the birthday outing so close to the birth date, hope it all runs smoothly for you.
Small wonder, here's to a better nights sleep tonight. Yawn.
Thought last night I'd started as had bad stomach cramps but then stopped. Am very huge, random people keep laughing out loud at the size of my bump or doing a double take!
Well have a lovely day everyone, really sunny here, going to catch up on my vit d and a choc ice. X

DairyNips · 22/05/2012 10:49

Morning allSmile

I had to get up for a wee about 5 times last night so not feeling particularly rested.

Sorry to those who hardly slept at all.

I'm about 90% there with my bag packing and thankfully have music on my shuffle from last time.

It's really warm here today, I like the sun but am not sure I want to feel this warm!

Just waiting on news about mil today as she's gone for her endoscopy at hosp. Fingers crossed..

DairyNips · 22/05/2012 10:52

Anyone else struggling to remember to drink their raspberry leaf tea btw? I keep forgetting and the most I've managed in one day has been 2 cups. I usually only have one hot drink a day and drink sparkling water/squash the rest of the day so don't really fancy several hot drinks. I'm never gonna get through the 60 bags I bought at this rate!

I'm also struggling with my hypnotherapy cd as the only time I have to listen to it is when I go to bed but by them I'm tired and I get agitated legs half way through and have to turn it off.. Humf!

McKayz · 22/05/2012 10:57

Morning,

I don't know if I am hoping that Blondie is in labour or not. Grin It's so exciting.

Small I hope you get some sleep tonight. I slept really well but still feel really tired. I don't understand it really.

My friend from school runs was up all night with contractions and they've stopped this morning. She's due 6 days before me.

It is glorious here but it is so hot. I am not used to so much warmth, it was horrible walking to school this morning.

I've just bought 2 Euromillions tickets for tonight. Its £58 million! I could spend that I think!

StarlightMcKenzie · 22/05/2012 11:05

Hi everyone!

Not much news. Birth pool arrives today. One day I'll get a midwife too!

DairyNips · 22/05/2012 11:12

Hey StarlightSmile Exciting about the birth pool! Hopefully the midwife is on order too.

Warlin · 22/05/2012 11:29

oh no, poor boris, sounds so traumatic and sad that we lost her from the thread at 20 weeks. What awful care she has received.

ffnorm · 22/05/2012 12:45

Hey everyone

Blondie your absence is killing us - what is going on??? can't lose a plug then dissapear for days seriously though, hope all is well Smile

Starlight the midwife problem is mad,esp as you are in London there are so many hospitals and NHS choice should mean you could book with anyone Confused

Small bring on your C/S,so that you can get some sleep. How was the fish recieved?

Was very blessed in the stretch mark dept last pg,only got 2 tiny marks right down the bottom of my belly which aren't really visible,so fingers crossed that it'll be the same this time,as so far none that I can see Wink Thelittleme I can imagine the itching is excrutiating.

Warlin sorry to hear about your dog!!

Good idea McK to get a euromillions ticket Grin did you see the thread "if you won £130 000 000 what would you spend it on"?

Gonna take a stroll to the post office as there is a parcel to be collected - it's my birthday next week,so hoping it's something nice Grin Also top up the Vit D.

Smallwonder · 22/05/2012 16:29

It is too warm for me out there! I literally feel like i'm baking, what an old moan I am and was ecstatic about the arrival of some sun too! Hmm

ffnorm love parcels, hope it's something nice for your birthday. Have you got anything planned?
starlight that's good, fingers crossed m/w is next on the arrivals list.
McK Good luck, you never know, you can foot the bill for a post Jubilee bash post natal knees up then if you're lucky Grin Now wouldn't that be something!
Dairynips What about drinking the raspberry leaf tea cold? Hope your MIL is alright and that you've had some news.
Justwantcheese The cramps can be quite scary when they start though don't you think? It's like 'oh oh, this is it' and then as you start working a sweat they slowly subside (or is that just me!)
Warlin FWIW, I don't think you're being AT ALL selfish and you should do what you please with regard to invitations and the like. You've been working hard almost to the end of your pregnancy and if you feel like lounging at home on MAT leave and just taking things easy then so be it i say! Do not feel guilty.
Also hoping your dog is on the mend.

McKayz · 22/05/2012 16:49

Small it is unbearable here. 24 degrees, I was dying for some sunshine and now I want it to bog off again. Or at least cool down a bit.

If I do win lottery I will pay for all of us to get together no expenses spared Grin

Dairy Hope today has gone well with your MIL.

Blondie Are you having a baby?? Grin

justwantcheese · 22/05/2012 17:29

SMALL I'm with you on the cramps- ready for all systems go, and then they're gone!

justwantcheese · 22/05/2012 17:30

Mckayz if you win lottery please could you pay for a tummy tuck for me ? :)

DairyNips · 22/05/2012 18:17

Not great news about my mil. They think it's a cancerous stricture. They've taken a biopsy to check what kind of cancer so they can work out how to treat. Might be an op or chemo, we'll get the results next tuesSad
