I'm with you all, I am going to halt the symptom checking it's driving me insane!

The Diva has learnt a new trick, it seems that she's found her arms and likes to stretch out giving me a particularly attractive lump in my side! If I dare to touch it, she pulls it back in. What a madam :). At the moment, her bum is sticking right out which seems to be her preferred position she has her mum's JLo arse

I'm now going to attempt to ge some sleep before I start the hourly weeing sessions

HollyPockett · 09/04/2012 22:36

Good luck buns!

JambalayaCodfishPie · 09/04/2012 22:37

Holly My baby does that! Got an accidental high-5 on Saturday and now it seems intent on recreating it!! Grin

Good luck buns!

I tried reverse psychology today - sent DH, DF and DM on a day trip, so that I was alone at home with just my sis - who can't drive. Felt sure that'd bring on labour.

Oh well.

Nordicmom · 09/04/2012 22:50

Good luck Buns!

Flisspaps · 09/04/2012 22:54

How are the preparations going Nordicmom? Are you on your holiday still or have you returned before the big trip? :)

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 09/04/2012 23:06

Good luck Buns!!

My baba has a new rather painful trick too. It involves somehow catching his foot (I assume?) under my rib and pulling down on the inside so his foot rubs on my rib!! IYSWIM? Ouch!!

Just having a hot chocolate then off to bed. Have run out of raspberry leaf tea oh what a shame and refusing to buy more!

Tinwe · 09/04/2012 23:17

Good luck Buns :)

justhayley · 09/04/2012 23:26

It's my birthday tomorrow when I blow out my candles I'll make a wish to share my day with all your babies Grin

Nordicmom · 10/04/2012 00:03

Fliss, we've had a lovely Easter with my family and my mom's birthday too today. Tomorrow flying back to UK. Have talked to our surrogate and there are no signs yet (37w + now) so hoping to make it to the US Probably on the 19.4 . A few days before the CS on 23.4. When back tomorrow I'll have about a week and a day(iiiiiiik) to wash everything and repack and order and buy the remaining items etc. DS has a street dance workshop for two days this week and school next week for two days possibly and then we're off. Really getting down to the wire doing things.Could have fixed more things in the house, never had time or energy for a clear out ( haven't been feeling great ) and should really scrub the whole house in case the inlaws have to move in to look after DS if we're stuck in the US for longer. Going to have to prioritise and do the most essential things and leave the rest. I just want to come home with my baby!!!!!

Nordicmom · 10/04/2012 00:05

Happy birthday Justhayley!

VintageNancy · 10/04/2012 01:50

Happy Birthday hayley.

Good luck Buns!

To be honest Spanner part of me feels the same. I don't really want to be induced but...

Not long now nordic but take it easy - just concentrate on the essential things. The in-laws can scrub the house if they're that bothered.

Just back from a walk and have been quite crampy but that might be because of the internal exam at the midwife. She had a good rummage while she was in there so maybe that'll kick something off. In the meantime I'm having acupuncture tomorrow afternoon. I believe acupuncture helped get the baby in there in the first place so hopefully it'll help get it out!

And yay my mum has landed! Can't wait to see her Grin.

newmummyvicky · 10/04/2012 02:51

Nordicmom that has come round so quick that your flying over there, really won't be long till U have your baby......

Having problem sleeping waiting for lyra to wake up for 3am feed, boobs are massive, hubby as sleep on couch, baby in pram down stairs.

Mw saids its mummy hormones keeping me up. Can only sleep for a few hours!

She is back to birth weight now and had heal pick test today......

Flisspaps · 10/04/2012 05:14

Happy birthday Hayley Smile

Awake at 5am. Not due to signs of baby. Can't get back to arsing sleep Hmm Slept fairly crappily until now anyway, too hot even with the window open, night sweats have kicked in pre-baby this time, too cold though out of the covers. 40+6.

justhayley · 10/04/2012 06:04

Thanks all Grin
Flis iv been awake since 4.30 as well really annoying as I'm still working for some ridiculous reason so have to be up properly at 7 - going to be beyond exhausted today!

I know my body is preparing me to wake when the baby comes, but I do think mother nature screwed up a bit there & would have been better letting us have loads of sleep so we felt half alive when babies so arrive!

Anyone else waking up in the night hungry?

aprilfoolsbaby · 10/04/2012 06:28

Newmummy - I am on day 6 of breastfeeding (baby Ezra - we finally decided on a name. I don't recommend not having a name ready but that's a whole other story!) and had totally forgotten how difficult it is. My milk came in on day 3 and I have had a very engorged right boob which has brought me to tears at times Sad

I followed some tips off the midwife and the good news is I've woken up this morning and it feels a bit better (the lovely mw said it would)

Just letting you know that things get better and that you're not the only one suffering x

Keep those babies coming everyone x

spannermary · 10/04/2012 06:42

Another one with crappy sleeping patterns here - awake at 2, 4 & now 6. Itchiness spreading & when I'm asleep I bloody dream of it! Grr! Also DH snoring...but that's ok coz he's cute Grin

Oh I wonder what today will bring! Thanks to those with babies sharing the lovely stories of beautiful children: it feels like an age away still - good to remember it could all happen really soon.

And Happy Birthday, Hayley: that's 3 of us with April birthdays (mine is 19th and I know Fliss has hers at some point too). I wonder who we'll share them with!!

LaTristesse · 10/04/2012 06:59

I have an April Birthday too - 16th, hope I get to share it with someone's newborn! Have a good one Hayley!

katiegolightly · 10/04/2012 07:13

What an exciting thread, can't believe I've only just found! Can I late gatecrash pls? 'booked in' for a baby girl DC1 arrival on 18 April... Next week, yikes!!! Good luck for happy birth stories and healthy babies to all you lovely ladies!

Emsgale · 10/04/2012 07:27

well after a night of bh upsett tummy blah blah blah I woke up to umm sod frigg all!! all im doing is pooing lots im starting to wonder if its just 1 massive poo in there and actually no baby!!!

iv had no movment either this morning so going to keep an eye on that!

happy birthday hayley

Cutelittlecatlover · 10/04/2012 08:19

Happy birthday Hayley!

I was convinced something was happening last night, lots of cramps that got painful enough that I had to walk around for a while and a few bits of show (sorry tmi) when I wiped then nothing! 40 + 6 today and getting really pissed off now! I'm booked for a sweep this afternoon so fingers crossed that gets things moving.

Spannermary I also have pupp, its horrible isn't it?! IME doctors and mws don't seem to know too much about it and aren't that interested, my gp gave me one tiny tube of hydrocortisone and told me to try not to use it Hmm . I've got it under control using coal tar soap 2 or 3 times a day in the shower then covering myself in aqueous cream. It sounds strange and takes a while to get used to the smell but its worth it to not be itching constantly! The trick is to use loads on a flannel and leave it on your skin for a few minutes before you rinse it off, it sort of dries it out somehow.

Good luck to everyone waiting for their babies

Bearcrumble · 10/04/2012 08:31

Happy birthday, Hayley! Hope you get spoilt.

Best of luck today, Buns - I'd never spent a night apart from DS before having new DD. Fingers crossed it will only be two nights for you.

Thanks so much for all the sweet comments/compliments. You are all lovely.

Flisspaps · 10/04/2012 08:32

Welcome katie Smile

spannermary I am indeed an April birthday. 21st if you please, the same as the Queen Grin I don't think I'll have a baby by then, or her official Royal birthday in June Angry

So pissed off to still be pregnant. I really expected this one to be early, although 40+15 would still be early in comparison I suppose Wink

Need to snap out of this crap mood. Apologies for moaning.

Any sign of digitalgirl?

Bearcrumble · 10/04/2012 08:33

Emsgale Just seen your post about movement - have a cold glass of juice and something to eat and if you still don't feel anything for an hour after that I think you should def go in to be monitored.

Cutelittlecatlover · 10/04/2012 08:39

Bearcrumble sorry I forgot to say your dd is gorgeous!
