beyond and emsgale every night I think the same as I go to bed with promising signs. Every morning = nothing. Just trying to keep busy; mainly through walking, cleaning, baking and crafting (baby shoes and trousers have been made since due date so far).

spannermary · 09/04/2012 16:19

Ah, but Nancy you're lucky: I'm not really meant to do anything!! Feet up watching TV. Really boring...but I have to try and keep my blood pressure down...

Still, it's not really the weather for a walk anyway...

HollyPockett · 09/04/2012 16:20

I'm the same! Full of signs in the evening ad middle of the night and by the morning nothing! sad annoying times.

Bananna1 · 09/04/2012 16:42

Bearcrumble, what a beautiful picture :)

What news Digital? Hope all is well and your day has been full of cuddles.

Pitmountainpony · 09/04/2012 17:11

Bear Crumble. Just seen piccie.6 pounds of perfection.
She is adorable. I am guessing the other beauty is your elder dc..........wow you make cute babies......although I do find every single baby gorgeous you know what I mean.

My dd is similar in not getting her mouth open wide.....have had a couple of days of very painful b feeding but went to see lactation consultant at the hospital when I had stiches out and she showed me the brushing the nipple down from the nose to the mouth to get it as wide as possible and that has really helped but she does like to just have the nipple in her mouth and. Just not suck.....but again she will get the hang of it.

We are really relieved after getting the all clear on Saturday....we had been going for daily blood tests to monitor her rising bilirubin levels since she is A positive and I am o.......I had never heard of this but when blood groups are different this can happen....if it rises too far can cause neurological damage.......and they try to prevent that by giving a total blood transfusion.
So scary prospect. But as of Saturday we no longer have to do the blood tests as the level is naturally coming down. It really made me have a small insight into what poor parents whose children have serious problems face......it must be so heartbreaking as you are powerless.
Anyway just in case anyone else encounters this.....pretty common if mama and baby' s blood groups are different.
Finally we get some time at home to relax and take in the beauty of the newborn!!

Hoping people waiting see some action in the next few days!!

Flisspaps · 09/04/2012 17:19

I'm there on the nighttime symptoms, had some frequent BH between 12.30 and 1.30 am (as opposed to regular ones) but nothing else.

Night is usually when babies come though, possibly because its dark and predators cannot see you or are asleep themselves (we are mammals after all) and as that's when you're relaxed and the conscious brain is 'off' when you're asleep, it seems the obvious time to let the primal brain take over.

Feel odd this afternoon, have had a sleep on the sofa, am roasting now as I've had my head near a hot radiator for two hours so am sitting on the sofa in sports bra and enormopants. If Dad does his usual trick of knocking on and looking through the window which is next to the sodding front door Hmm and sees me like this he'll not do it again Wink

Feel exhausted still, not even like the nap helped Angry

Emsgale · 09/04/2012 17:28

flisspaps snap on the feeling v odd this afternoon probally nothing for me!

ill prob feel odd all eve till early hours then nothing I suspect!

VintageNancy · 09/04/2012 17:38

Grin Exciting!

Emsgale · 09/04/2012 19:04

liking the sound of a baby boom!!!!!!

VintageNancy · 09/04/2012 19:35

That would be nice!

confuzed90 · 09/04/2012 19:57

Snap with the feeling odd.. But I'm far from my due date, 37 weeks 5 days. Been having irregular BH since yesterday afternoon, pressure, belly ache which feels like I need to poo, but I don't. Very sicky, not been sick but nauseas. Hardly being able to eat a thing, cooked last night..couldn't touch it. DP had to eat it. Not had anything really since breakfast. Had a few chips off DS at a party today, but struggled to swallow them. Got a pie in oven now as I no I need something. Iv got increased discharge, movements seem to be a little decreased. But not a concern,
Good luck to all of you! We could all go anyday.
Especially those who are overdue, being overdue or 40+ sorry is utterly horrible. 40+11 with DS1.

spannermary · 09/04/2012 20:12

Bring on the baby boom! A glut of 10/4/12ers would be great!

I currently look as though I've been rolling around in poison ivy as the PUPPP has spread from my abdomen to lower arms, hands, back of underarms, thighs and feet. Which is lovely. Currently in cool bath to relax - it's no wonder my BP is up! Back to doc tomorrow am to have more BP monitoring so I'll show him how much this has spread then.

DM, DD & DS up at the moment which is lovely, although no baby for them to see as yet!! Still, they're being lovely, making dinners and buying cake and generally spoiling me rotten so I can unwind.

Hope you're all having a lovely bank holiday and have been able to take your mind of horrible late pregnancy symptoms.

Looking forward to hearing the positive outcomes of all the 'feeling weird'! Wink

Flisspaps · 09/04/2012 20:25

Oh Bear how gorgeous :) (been on the phone until now so couldn't see the photos!)

Am sitting on the ball at the moment, bouncing having just thrown away my tissue with clary sage on it. Who am I kidding - I know that if it were as easy as having a whiff of oil to get a baby out then I would have done that last time and I spend enough time harping on at everyone about the fact that none of the natural bollocky induction methods work - take your own medicine woman! It's not even as if it smells nice Hmm

Lets be honest, we're all sitting here symptom spotting, especially those of us between 37 and 42 weeks, and it's highly bloody likely that at some point soon then the feeling odd, the pant snot, the sick, the BH and so on are going to turn into labour for most of us, why we're sitting about wishing we were in bloody agony and betattering our poor fanoirs is beyond me. We should be making the most of now...the next 18 years few weeks is the hard bit Grin

VintageNancy · 09/04/2012 21:45

Grin Fliss it reminds me of all the TTC symptom spotting/knicker checking. That nearly drove me loopy too.

I'm off to my midwife in a few minutes and after that I will probably commence ball bouncing/walking/scrubbing kitchen floor on all fours. You know, just for fun, not for any other reason, oh no!

spannermary · 09/04/2012 22:10

Guilty! Sitting here hoping that my hideous rash and high BP will make them induce tomorrow. Was v anti-induction all through pregnancy - why the hell would I want to be induced now!? But I kind of do... Blush

Emsgale · 09/04/2012 22:14

god the symptom spotting is knackering me out along with trying to get baby out I think im going to sit back and say I give up im tired I ache the baby absloutly sending me through the roof with shooting pains in my fanjo, period pains in my back and tummy and yet another night of a upsett tummy im not even thinking of it as a potential clearout as iv said this too many times now!!! :-(

Emsgale · 09/04/2012 22:16

dont blame you spennermary im sure this is natures way of helping us cope with nerves/labour make us that desperate we just dont care!!!

Flisspaps · 09/04/2012 22:20

I've decided that I've changed my mind, I am going to stay pregnant forever so am just going to continue my life as before but just fatter and heavier. And the massive reduction in wine drinking is saving us a fortune.

I've got too much stuff to do to faff about actually giving birth, either spontaneously or through induction/CS so if you're listening in there DC2, if you don't make any plans to move out, I'll not have you evicted. After all, you're getting every need seen to at a second's notice, and I'm not having to change pooey nappies or get sore nipples. At the moment everyone's a winner!

Wink
BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 09/04/2012 22:24

Grin the knicker checking was reminding me very much of the obsessive "has my period come after all" after the BFP!!

He's very twingey again this evening. CBA to get my hopes up again though... yes I am trying reverse psychology on a foetus!

It's my anniversary tomorrow. That seems a good date to have a baby :)

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 09/04/2012 22:25

hahaha, x post fliss!! Grin

Bunsouttheoven · 09/04/2012 22:27

bear haven't seen photos of your lovely baby yet as on phone but will check them out ASAP. Yes have giant tena lady nappy pants packed. In fact they seem to take up half my suitcase. Must remember to make sure DP knows they are for me not giant oversized nappies for the baby.

Well I've bathed & at great effort managed to shave my legs (& fanoir, not wanting a nurse going at me with a dry bic razor tomorrow)

Now need to find a way to remove my very dark pink nail varnish. Bloody bump is seriously impeding foot attentions.

Am packed, have quietly sobbed after reading both dcs their bedtime stories, thinking about not being with them for a few nights. (only spent one night away from dd in nearly 6 years when I had my ds & never had a night away from ds) wussy mother emoticom

Hope everyone waiting joins me tomorrow in a 10/4 birth. Good luck ladies, see you on the other sideGrin

JambalayaCodfishPie · 09/04/2012 22:33

Good Luck Bunsout !!!

OP posts:
Flisspaps · 09/04/2012 22:35

Best of luck for tomorrow Buns. You're not a wussy mother, I've never had a night away from DD which was a tiny but important consideration in my plans for HB. Hopefully the stay won't be too long - surely you could be back home on Thursday if all is well?

Can DP not get your nail varnish off, seeing as he's managed to avoid the task of some pubic topiary I think it's the least he can do. Get him to do a nice foot rub for you while he does it too.
