3kids · 27/01/2006 16:36

Well went to doc's she has changed due date to the 30th sept! I'm going to stay here though. She has booked me in for my scan! I was gobsmacked she did it today but glad she did as there busy and i'm not going till the 22nd march i will be 12 half weeks. That seems like ages. I'm going to get one of those heartbeat listners especially with the kids being older they can listen as well.

Hi 3kids glad drs went well although day earlier than planned. Tbh when I see mw I am expecting mine to change 'cos due date calcs say 29/09 or 30/09 and 40 wks from date is 3rd oct. Glad you are staying

And a scan date thats just fab! I think its a great idea you getting a doppler so you can involve the children want a wonderful way to include them.

Bet it seems all the more real now

FirstNikki · 27/01/2006 16:50

LaylaandSethsmum · 27/01/2006 18:15

Can't believe theres a due in october thread already!!! I'm in november 2005 group but DS was born 30th oct!! Good luck to you all and have happy and healthy pregnancies!!!xxx

3kids · 28/01/2006 06:44

I was thinking when i was at doc's yesterday she said to see the midwife after the scan, but i'm sure your suppose to go to midwife when your about 8 weeks to be booked in and given paperwork(notes) shall i just go and see her when i'm 8 weeks?

FirstNikki · 28/01/2006 09:39

3kids I would probably ring the mw up dierctly if you can. our surgery works where you go to dr and they fill forms out, mw then calls for booking visit and bloods and scan is after. in our area your notes are given to you when you go for your scan. so definitely think a call to the mw will help put you at rest.

FirstNikki · 30/01/2006 10:13

Morning ladies how are you this morning?

Now change yet still waiting for mw call hoping it will be soon. ms not a problem so far (touch wood) just wishing the 12 wk scan would be hear soon

3kids · 30/01/2006 10:33

Morning. Know what you mean about the scan i can't wait it seems like months away!

booge · 30/01/2006 18:29

Just seen the Dr and I have to book in with the Midwife for a dating scan. I really like the midwife and am looking forward to seeing her again.

FirstNikki · 31/01/2006 14:41

Good day ladies, well been having frequent but short lived headaches today and my boobs are getting v sensitive (sorry tmi) apart from that I don't feel much difference....oh except the urge to eat chocolate which is most unlike me..no honestly I could, pre-pg, not have choc for weeks.

Glad you like your mw booge I think it always helps, my last experience with mw at my drs was lovely too so should be no different this time.

3kids hows the sleeping pattern now?

3kids · 31/01/2006 18:31

Hello FirstNikki and Booge i too have the sore boobs, sleep is getting a bit better i'm lucky if i can stay awake past 8pm then come midnight i'm up every hour for a wee! then i get up at about 6am.
I rang surgery to make appointment for mw and she's not in the whole of feb so have got appointment on the 2nd march, it's a new mw so hope she's nice!

Gemmitygem · 01/02/2006 08:16

hello all,

Can I join you? Got BFP last night, on first month of trying, couldn't believe it!

I'm just about to turn 30, first baby, live abroad so a bit nervous (won't be able to come back to the UK/Europe for checks till I'm about 12 weeks, hope that doesn't matter).

Are any of you first timers or are you all 'experienced mums?'

FirstNikki · 01/02/2006 09:33

Congratulations Gemmitygem on your bfp I too am a first timer, 2nd pg as mc 1st in november. Where abouts do you live? are you overseas permanently or temporary?

3kids know what you mean about the weeing all night, dh asks me to stay up longer so I don't toss and turn as I am waking him up, but I keep having to tell him its not the restless sleep particularly its the needing the loo! Can't believe you have no mw for the whole of feb not even a temporary one, wonder if she is on hol somewhere nice.

Got sore throat today so hope that will clear up and not turn into a full cold. And I am getting terrible munchies.

Gemmitygem · 01/02/2006 11:25

Thanks FirstNikki!

I'm doing development work in Central Asia, been living here a couple of years already, so feel pretty much at home now. However I will DEFINITELY come back to Europe or the UK for the birth. Scans etc will be tricky. Although the actual pregnancy test only cost the equiv of 1 pound!

I do sympathise with all your symptoms Nikki and 3 kids... I've always got up to wee throughout the night so don't see how it can increase any more , but boobs a bit bigger than usual. The main thing is I'm really bloated in the stomach like I had a big dinner... already! Also a bit fainty, hungry, sicky. But very happy!

FirstNikki · 01/02/2006 11:33

yes very happy just waiting to get past first hurdle of 9 weeks then will begin to rest a little also can't wait for 12 wk scan so can start telling people.

Gemmitygem good luck with the scans being obtained from europe/uk, how will you go about that??

Gemmitygem · 01/02/2006 11:40

Yes, it will be a relief to be at the 3 month mark... We'll all get through it together.

Re scans, I'm going back to the UK for hols in March, so will be about 12 weeks then hopefully, and will have a first scan then. Then maybe fly back for the 20 week scan (although the flying is risky in itself). They do have scans here but just very old fashioned equipment etc and not very good doctors.

Anyway let's enjoy the first few weeks and being waited on.. my DH offered to drive me to work this morning, for the first time ever!

FirstNikki · 01/02/2006 12:05

yes being waited on my dh won't let me lift a thing I rush up the stairs he shouts at me to walk! bless him

Gemmitygem · 01/02/2006 13:42

That's so funny, same as mine.. It must bring out some cavemanlike emotions in them!

3kids · 01/02/2006 14:24

Hello ladies feeling really rough this afternoon, i hate this part of pregnancy. Well i'm on my 10th day of no fags and it's still not bothering me. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

FirstNikki · 01/02/2006 14:47

I must admit I am feeling very tired today, was going for my morning swim this morning and didn't and doubt I will tomo either if I am this tired. dh has just instructed me for an early night.

Angeliz · 01/02/2006 14:48
