Congratulations!! I'm another well wisher/graduate from Oct 05. firstnikki my ds was born on 03/10/05

booge · 24/01/2006 09:07

BFP yesterday, Ds is only 8.5 months and it is a bit of a surprise. In fact shock is a better word. I went out on Saturday night and had about 6 Gin and Tonics and a few cigs so not the best start. Had a hormonal moment on Monday, realised I was overdue and so did a test. I'm now scoffing the folic acid, not smoking and hoping my Saturday night binge won't have caused any damage. Due on 3rd October by first day of last period though probably later. I've miscarried once in the past so keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

FirstNikki · 24/01/2006 09:46

Morning Booge and welcome, we are due on same date 3kids has the earliest date so far of 1st. I am sure those gins will be fine, good luck with stopping smoking.

3kids · 24/01/2006 13:54

I am feeling very tired with the horrible taste in my mouth, i have been laying on sofa all day cos of the tiredness but that's what you get for waking up and getting up at 4.10!!

Thanks FirstNikki, 3Kids for the welcome and congratulations to you both. Gizmo, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

3Kids, 4am poor you, I though 6am was bad enough. [sympathy]

It is so nice to be able to tell someone as we intend keeping it quiet until we know for sure it is going to be ok. I really couldn't concentrate at work at all yesterday. Oh it's horrible working when you are so knackered.

We have to speak to the Dr this week about DS's chest x-ray (he has been wheezy since the autumn) so will mention it then. I don't suppose he'll be very interested, we only saw the midwife last time and I think we sign on with her at about 10 weeks(?)

Giving up smoking is not to bad this time, I only started having one or two after DS goes to bed or when going out after I stoped breastfeeding in November so the cravings are only light and occasional thank God. This time must stop for good as I was about to go down that slippery slope!!

FirstNikki · 25/01/2006 09:41

Morning ladies

Well around 6am for me too booge and 3kids you are getting earlier I bet you are shattered are you going bed earlier to make up for it?

the sickness arrived this morning took my probiotic and folic and heaved like no other...so here we go...how do you hide sickness when you aren't saying anything until 12 wk scan?? its going to be hard I can tell you..

3kids · 25/01/2006 14:01

Haven't been going to bed earlier FirstNikki, it's really doing my head in now at this rate i won't be sleeping at all in a week! It's my 3rd day of not smoking and it really isn't bothering me which surprising me as i was on about 30 a day.

well done on the smoking 3kids, and sorry your sleep is getting less and less do you have to go to work too? (sorry if being too nosey)

3kids · 26/01/2006 06:08

Hi FirstNikki got up a bit later this morning 5.20 which i'm pleased about. I really ended up feeling rough yesterday and tearful. I don't work but i look after my niece 2 days a week but at least i can just lay on the sofa if i need to. How you doing? I thought there'd be a few more joining us by now suppose it's still early though.

Morning 3kids so pleased you have woken later this morning. the lack of sleep and energy alone will probably make you tearful and of course those hormones working 100 miles an hour. Its a relief to hear you can get some rest inbetween in the day, else you would be totally shattered.

How wonderful you look after your neice. I bet you have a special bond.

I am feeling ok today, not really suffering from nausea today which is a relief. the waking in the night but the dreams are getting less.

I know I am sure we will get some graduates here soon and we can share our ailments etc..

booge · 26/01/2006 10:09

Morning, glad you're feeling better today FirstNikki and that you managed a lie in 3Kids. So shattered last night I couldn't even stay up for Big Brother and see the horrible George Galloway evicted. Nevermind shouldn't be watching such rubbish anyway

FirstNikki · 27/01/2006 10:27

Morning ladies how are you today??

I have been having twinges/aches on the right side of lower tum (about where I would say me ovaries are) have any of you had these I am putting them down to growing pains but was just wondering if its natural or just me??

FirstNikki · 27/01/2006 10:28

and how is the smoking booge and 3kids still going great I hope

booge · 27/01/2006 11:43

Hi,
Try not to worry about the twinges FirstNikki I had them last time and am having some this time too.

booge · 27/01/2006 11:47

I think the ovary that released the egg is still releasing progestrone and the cyst the egg came from is still growing and that can cause some twinges. My memory is a bit dodgy on this though. I found the book "What to Expect when you are Expecting" and of course Mumsnet a mine of information on these things last time.
