Hey ladies, just checking in! Have been alone with the baby since Friday as DH's work saw fit to send him overseas, and now he's delayed due to bad weather Angry. So I don't have much spare capacity for MN.

ellie I have two slings - a Kari Me which I love and a Baby Bjorn which I haven't used yet.

kayzr I hope you get your scan!

DD is a little star - gaining weight well, feeding well, and doesn't fuss too much if she can be held, esp if I let her fall asleep in my bed before switching her to the bednest ( which is fab by the way).

Woohoo!!! Mum is taking me. I am going to learn up drive after this baby.

Carlitawantsababy · 06/02/2012 09:37

Great to hear from you ghost glad Jools is doing so well too!
Grin hooray kayzr! I hope baby plays the game this time! Grin

Kayzr · 06/02/2012 12:41

They scan was great and it's a girl!!!! GrinGrin

babybrain3 · 06/02/2012 13:27

Congratulations kayzr!! Glad you got it all sorted!!

So, went to the docs today and asked about an early scan, she said I could have one if I wanted but it would most likely replace the 12 week dating scan, so have got to make a decision about when I want it!!! Boooo... Still feeling sick today, so yay GrinGrinGrin I'm sure I didn't feel this poorly last time Grin

Kayzr · 06/02/2012 16:07

I've put a picture on my profile of the scan. Smile

foolserrand · 06/02/2012 16:47

Hello all! Sorry the snow has made your life difficult, Kayzr, but hurrah for your mum agreeing to drive you. Hope tests went well?

I have been trying to write this for days, stupid life keeps getting in the way! I love the snow so we took small boy and the dogs out yesterday morning. There is nothing funnier than watching a poor rottie pulling a demanding toddler on a sledge. He kept shouting for her to go faster. Dog is still sleeping it off, poor old girl. She loved it though.

We were supposed to have a plasterer at the house yesterday. Shockingly, he didn't show. Progress has slowed way down since we moved out. It's gutting. I think I may have to actually be on site every morning getting a daily plan, then back in the evening to check up on them. I have so many better things to do! Gah.

Today's crisis was awful. Ds was marching and singing the grand old duke and marched himself straight into the corner of a dado rail. He has split his head a bit. Dh says its not that bad (he got a frantic picture message) but I see a huge gaping wound needing stitches Blush.

Glad to hear the babies and mummies are doing so well, I'm so jealous! Only at 28.5 weeks here. Although bump is huge, baby is only the size of a swede.Hmm It can't be right!

You all sound so sorted, ellie with that lucky cot moment being a perfect example. I have done NOTHING so far apart from buy a few nice outfits. Must do better. Actually, need a house first.

foolserrand · 06/02/2012 16:58

Hurrah for another girl! Rosalie is a lovely name.

Hurrah for feeling sick, too, Babybrain, its a good sign for a sticky baby. I hope you keep feeling sick. Odd sentiment, but you get my meaning, I hope! Sucks about the scan though, nobody should make you choose.

Carlitawantsababy · 06/02/2012 18:44

Hooray kayzr! Grin so pleased for you!

Kayzr · 06/02/2012 21:32

Can any of you lovely crafty ladies suggest any websites to buy fabric please? I want somewhere that sells kids patterned stuff and plain fabric too. I've been looking on google and I've found a couple of places. But wanted to see if there was anywhere you'd really recommend. Smile

MammaInTheMaking · 06/02/2012 23:42

Kayzr type "fabric rehab" into google. You can't go wrong with their stuff Smile

Carlitawantsababy · 07/02/2012 07:18

I usually use eBay kayzr. Going to have a look at mamma's suggestion now though as love her fabrics and I finally found a 'sewing for boys' book on amazon this morning! So pleased as the mixed ones are always 70% dresses. Grin

Carlitawantsababy · 07/02/2012 07:32

Wow. I am officially in love with fabric rehab mamma! ??

babybrain3 · 07/02/2012 08:23

6 weeks today!!!! ???? everything still going well- sick again this morning ?? I'm so excited, it all seems to be going right this time!!! ?

foolserrand · 07/02/2012 08:36

Hurrah, Babybrain! Really happy for you! :o

MammaInTheMaking · 07/02/2012 08:37

Yay baby it really sounds like it's going good this time for you Grin my second time was so different to the first, I just felt so different in myself and what I was feeling and it made me much more optimistic. Keep the happy thoughts flowing Smile

Carlita aren't the fabrics amazing? I'm completely obsessed with that website. Currently drooling over the red and green Scandi apple prints they have and wondering when I could make an order......

I'm going through a bit of an exhausted patch at the moment. Belly seemed to stop growing for about 10 days but yesterday it was really aching and my pelvis is pretty sore atm. Looks like I might balloon a bit more soon... Oh we went to John Lewis Oxford St to look at prams last night Grin

MammaInTheMaking · 07/02/2012 08:41

Oh yeah, also Blubes is 5 months today ??. Where has the time gone? 4 months to
go Smile. Aaahhhhh just got a celebratory kick!

babybrain3 · 07/02/2012 09:31

Oooh, pram shopping!! Now that is exciting!!!!

Have made a minor mistake-am 6 weeks tomorrow. Feeling much better after a large glass of orange juice. Just popped in to tesco after doing the school run and bough myself some cracker read, ginger biscuits orange juice and a selection of herbal teas. Was really hoping I didn't bump into anyone I knew as I think that one look in my basket would have been a complete giveaway-then I bumped into one of the mums from school.... Luckily I don't think she looked in my basket!

Kayzr · 07/02/2012 10:11

I can't wait to go look at prams. We have 2 to decide between so need to go have a look at them.

Mamma That website is amazing, the fabric is so nice. Thank you.

elliebug · 07/02/2012 20:45

woo for the vomiting baby
fabric:i like the fabric guild www.fabricguild.co.uk/ they sell other bits for quilting etc if your interested in that. their shop is amazing if you're ever in leicester :)
kayzr your scan pic is amazing, i was really disapointed with mine, got a growth scan on the 28th so hopefully a nice scan person will give me a better pic

babybrain3 · 07/02/2012 21:12

Do you live near leicester Ellie?

elliebug · 07/02/2012 21:24

i grew up near to and went to college in leicester baby moved north for uni and haven't escaped!! my parents and some friends are still there so get down when i can :)

Carlitawantsababy · 10/02/2012 10:24

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, happy friday! I'm 34 weeks today (Grin) but won't get the new vegetable until tomorrow.
trope I'm sorry I still haven't sent you the pattern for dungarees! Every time I go anywhere with a photocopier I am reminded! Should be able to do it in a couple of weeks! In the mean time, I bought this the other day www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0470949554/ref=redir_mdp_mobile and thought it might be of interest to you and any other crafty types expecting boys..the trouble with regular sewing for children type books is that they're 60-70% dresses, fine if you have a girl, annoying for a boy! Grin

Carlitawantsababy · 10/02/2012 12:05

Guess what? We've just exchanged!!! Moving to Hastings next Friday 17th!!! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

aBundanceOfTime · 10/02/2012 13:04

Congratulations Carlita and Kayzr!! Two lots of very exciting news! Grin

Ellie yes would definitely still recommend the Moby sling. Lilly still won't be put down so it's been used a lot through the day so I can get stuff done - it's very comfortable and Lilly seems to agree as she falls asleep straight away every time Smile

Glad you're feeling sick Baby Wink rubbish that they won't give you an early scan as well as a 12week one though. Tight arses.

Sorry, I've missed lots out Blush
