Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
elliebug · 04/02/2012 10:51

Oh dear davina, the trials of being a big brother!! It would appear I still have an aubergine Sad however, mine has pointy bits Smile

Kayzr · 04/02/2012 10:59

I just got a letter saying I need to have a glucose tolerence test for gestastional diabetes. I really don't want to do it. Its a 9am and I have to try and find someone to take the boys to school and find a way of getting there for 9.

elliebug · 04/02/2012 12:08

Sad Could you see if they could put it back a bit? I think they usually do it early cos you have to fast

Carlitawantsababy · 05/02/2012 07:23

Eek, someone on the march thread has had their baby at 35 weeks! He's doing well so all very Grin

Davinaaddict · 05/02/2012 08:07

Eek indeed! I'm 35 weeks and having very weird dreams about having baby already Confused Hope it's not a sign.....really glad to hear he's doing well Smile

That's rubbish Kayzr - were you expecting it? Not great timing either - is your DP still away?

So night 2 of DS in his big boys bed seems to have gone much better even if I did tuck his duvet into both sides of the bed so he didn't fall out Annoyingly I needed to pee at half 6 though & have been awake ever since! Got loads of housework done yesterday, and DH even helped out a bit. Still tons more to do before baby arrives, but getting there slowly Smile

Kayzr · 05/02/2012 09:13

Davina yeah I was expecting it. DS2 was a very big baby so I was told that they would do the test if I had another baby. I had one with DS2 but they did that at the GP surgery and this one is at the hospital 10 miles away. I am hoping my Mum will give me a lift because the buses are stupid.

Davinaaddict · 05/02/2012 11:31

That's a pain - no chance they can move it to your GPs instead? How's the snow with you?

Kayzr · 05/02/2012 12:37

I might ask if it can be moved.

We have about 5 inches of snow and it is horrible.

Kayzr · 05/02/2012 13:02

My Mum said she wont take me for my scan cos she won't drive in the snow. Even though the roads are clear.

I will check the buses but I'm not holding out any hope at all. They are pretty useless Sad

babybrain3 · 05/02/2012 13:24

kayzr that sounds like a nightmare I hope you get something sorted. My mum would be like that too!

Do any of you have the pregnancy app that uses some Chinese chart thing to predict whether your baby will be a boy or girl?? Just wondered if the predictions have been right in anyone who has found out what they're having. Am usually very sceptical of this sort of thing, so wondered what the accuracy rate was...

I am sick as a dog today (which I am telling myself is a good thing) not helped by the nasty cold I've developed... So I can't breathe through my nose cause it's full of snot, and it hurts when I breathe through my mouth because of being sick making my throat sore.... Yay for being pregnant!!!GrinGrinGrinGrin

Going to call the docs tomorrow and see if I can get booked in for my early scan-can't wait to see my sweet pea! GrinGrinGrin

Carlitawantsababy · 05/02/2012 13:34

babybrain I have the gender thing, did it on my family and it's about 50/50! Grin
Hope you get it sorted kayzr!
Hold on to that baby davina!
Hope the girls are well bun and ghost?
Hiya trope if you're lurking! Grin

Davinaaddict · 05/02/2012 13:53

Sounds horrid Kayzr Sad Hope thy can move it for you - you have a great excuse for it. We only had about 1.5 inches but it's pretty much all melted now. Hoping we don't get much more now - its getting a bit close to D Day and we've an 8 mile drive to the hospital (with an extra 6 mile round trip if we're dropping DS off first, although I think that might be a bit optimistic Grin)

Sorry you're feeling so crappy babybrain but glad you're not letting it get you down Smile I haven't got the app, but think I checked it in DS and I think it said he would have been a girl. I don't know anymore - I keep changing my mind, although DH told me last night he's starting to think its a bit and he was right last time Smile I was getting impatient but after Carlita's news this morning, not so much any more Grin You'll have to let us know how you get on with the scan and post a photo of it so we can all get shmooshy again Grin

I'm having a lazy day today cos I'm feeling a bit crappy too - think all the housework I did yesterday on top of a long week at work, plus moving DS was a little too much and is catching up with me - oops Grin Still too much to do though so need to make a plan really....but the sofa and tv are calling me. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow Grin

Davinaaddict · 05/02/2012 13:55

Thy???? Of course that should have read they. I wasn't going for some olde English post Grin

Davinaaddict · 05/02/2012 13:57

Oh FGS - DH thinks its a BOY not a bit! I give up Grin

babybrain3 · 05/02/2012 14:03

Hehe, sounds like you do need a lie down!!!!

Davinaaddict · 05/02/2012 16:35

I do now after the lovely fajita's my DH has just made! I ate 4 Shock Apparently I'm eating for 2, so I should have the last one Hmm. I think it's more that DH is on a diet and trying to save himself by making me fatter Grin

elliebug · 05/02/2012 16:42

Kayzr whereabouts in Yorkshire are you? Anywhere near the Humber? Just wondering if I can help at all?

Kayzr · 05/02/2012 16:43

Ellie that's lovely. I'm in Pickering on edge of north York moors.

I want the snow to go away!!!

aBundanceOfTime · 05/02/2012 17:07

Hi all! Sorry I've not posted for a while, been finding our way since my mum went home (hoozah! Wink) last week. Been having a lovely time, loads of snuggles with the DC's Smile
Lilly's doing brilliantly, back up to her birth weight, sleeping well at night and breastfeeding like a pro Grin
She's far more clingy than DS was though, will not be put down if she's awake. I'm surprised by how little I mind though! Just popped her in the sling to make some rice crispy cakes with DS Grin

Great to hear that Juliet is doing so well too Ghost!

Sorry this is a rubbish catch up, I've forgotten everything that's been said since I last posted!

Oh, the popping sounds! I've never had them but have read of a few people on MN who've had the same, no-one's known what it is but there weren't any issues for them Confused Sorry, not much help!

elliebug · 05/02/2012 22:12

Hey bun, sounds like your having fun Smile would you still recommend the sling? I am going to treat myself after our barginous week!! I have heard its quite warm to wear? Wondering if it will be too hot in summer?
Kayzr have pm'd you

Kayzr · 05/02/2012 22:19

Thanks Ellie Smile

Bloody snow Grin why not last week or next week? I have scan tomorrow and my stepdad is meant to be going to Northumberland. Tuesday my brother is at a different hospital for an appointment about wisdom teeth and then Wednesday DS2 is meant to be on a playgroup trip to see the penguins at the zoo.

Davinaaddict · 05/02/2012 23:04

Hi Bun - glad to hear you're all doing well. Isn't it amazing how little time/energy you have to mumsnet when a newborn arrives Grin

Treats are always good ellie Grin I found my sling really warm, but not sure if that was the sling or having a mini radiator attached to me Grin

Hope you're snow disappears quickly Kayzr Great ellie might be able to help Smile

elliebug · 05/02/2012 23:05

That's rubbish, although I'm sure the penguins are enjoying the snow!!

Carlitawantsababy · 06/02/2012 06:15

Hi bun! Sounds like you're having a wonderful time Grin you're making me look forward to it even more! Grin
I hope you get some thaw kayzr!

Kayzr · 06/02/2012 07:55

Still loads and loads of snow. Roads look clear though. I think I'll get bus if mum won't take me and just wander round for an hour or so.
