Carlitawantsababy · 28/01/2012 01:10

Aw, my little honey is a honeydew melon!Grin

elliebug · 28/01/2012 14:56

Aubergine here! Am feeling sorry for myself as I have just come home sick from work Sad got a horrid cold which mainly means I can't breathe especially when lying down!! Been awake sine 330, not good for a 13 hour shift! Oh well, on annual leave now!( or sick leave not sure which!)
trope I an prob going to have the opposite argument with my consultant as I don't want to go past 38 weeks due to increased risk of placenta failing! Not quite sure how I want them to get baby out though!!! I really don't want a long induction followed by emergency c section but not sure I want to go straight for section if there's a chance of avoiding it, so, what comes in the middle, anyone?! I did try and book a quick, natural labour at 37+6 but apparently you can't!!!!!!!!

babybrain3 · 28/01/2012 17:11

My boobs feel like they're trying to burst out of my top and take over the world!! ? DP is very impressed!

Have just cut his hair ready for our night out!!

elliebug · 28/01/2012 17:47

Have a lovely night out, hope your boobs behave Wink

Kayzr · 28/01/2012 18:30

Ellie I hope you feel better soon!

Babybrain have a lovely night out and I hope he pops the question!!

I've been a bit naughty today. I've bought girl clothes today. They are adorable but tempting fate a little that the scan was wrong. I've also bought a birth pool from eBay too. Grin

Hope everyone is ok

Davinaaddict · 28/01/2012 19:46

Oh - disappointed mine is a cantaloupe melon. I wanted one we've not had before even though I know that's not possible when we've already had 2 births Grin I suppose at this stage, you don't really get many fruit & veg that big.

Babybrain I skipped the GP this time and went straight to the MW at about 6 weeks I think. The GP did nothing last time, other than say 'congratulations, book an app with the MW'. Waste of an app really. MW asked a few questions and put me in the system and that's about it really. Not very exciting but better than the GP! Ooh it all sounds very exciting - hope you have a lovely meal. Looking forward to hearing about it! Love the boobs comment - sounds like they are earning the nicknames Pinky & The Brain Grin

I've missed your epic posts trope Grin Sorry to hear you've been suffering so much, and about your rheumatologist. How come she's losing her patients? Hope it all works out for you Sad I'm in the same boat on the whole induction thing. I want either a natural birth or an ELCS - no induction for me after last time (although I know another EMSC is also a possibility). I think my consultant tried to fob me off a bit when I mentioned it last time, so it'll be interesting to see how my next app goes as we're supposed to be doing my birth plan in that one Confused There are some good threads in Pregnancy & Childbirth about refusing induction though.

is not talking to bun after the jeans revelation, especially after no diet or exercise Envy on second thoughts, is very tempted by sound of cake, even if it is imaginary Grin Great news on the PGP front going! And fitting pre-pregnancy jeans so soon - although by the sounds of it, it might prove expensive if you have to buy a whole new wardrobe....Smile

It's not too bad Carlita, and I know it's my choice to work so late. Plus I'm not suffering anywhere nearly as bad as you are. I suspect if I was, I'd have finished too Smile Not sure if my dilemmas can be helped really - I want a VBAC but I'm getting worried about all the terrible stories of traumatic births with tearing, episiotomies, blood loss etc etc. I just need to get a grip I think Smile

Sorry you're feeling so crappy ellie I can relate to that as I was up for 18 hours on Wednesday after waking at 3.30. I think I'm still feeling it now, as we've not really had any great nights sleep since then either Sad Hoping tomorrow will be the day to catch up! I think it's most rude that you can't book a quick natural birth Grin. Not sure what other options there are really if you want to have Aubergine early though. But induction can work really well for some people I think, so that might work out well for you.

Ooh, exciting purchases Kayzr!

MammaInTheMaking · 28/01/2012 23:49

babybrain any news? Did you and DP have a lovely evening?

Hyperactive giant banana baby is still moving. Any advice on how to get it to settle down in there when I'm trying to get to sleep?!

babybrain3 · 29/01/2012 06:52

Well we did have a lovely evening- no? yet though.... ?will have to keep guessin!!! Typical though that when I can't drink they give us a bottle of wine on the house !!!

Carlitawantsababy · 29/01/2012 09:07

Oh ellie, sorry to hear you're not well Sad if you go to the doctors and get a note you can reclaim your annual leave and take this as sick leave by law if you want to. Difficult birth choice for you too! Do you use the iPhone app? I do and only found out the other day that you can scroll right on the emoticons an get such wonders as Hmm and Confused but still not shock..you need to type square brackets with shock inside [ shock ] without the spaces = Shock !
kayzr I think it'd be pretty hard not to buy girl clothes! Grin which pool did you buy? Did you get the whole kit or are there bits to look out for still and did you get a bargain? I've been browsing at them for ages! Smile
Sounds like a tricky choice davina, is it worth posting on childbirth to get some positive VBAC experiences? I know it's your choice to work late too and I'd've done exactly the same if I was going back to work afterwards or actually even if I wasn't moving, getting paid for longer would be a very good thing! Grin
mamma no tips here I'm afraid! Mine is more active the more relaxed I am, or at least feels that way! Grin
Glad you had a lovely meal babybrain.. You know you may have actually been right about it in the first place and he may have changed his mind about asking, my sister's DP was about to ask her when she fell pg (planned like you) but then delayed it until further in to the pregnancy as didn't want people thinking he'd only asked her because she'd got knocked up! Anyway, it is fun guessing as you say! I was sooo nervous when DH eventually asked me despite not expecting to be! Grin lovely memories! How did you get those emoticons? Looks like an android app or something? Never seen a ring on MN though [ring]? Do tell..I like the pictures! Grin

Kayzr · 29/01/2012 10:09

Carlita I have the funny pictures too ?? I love the frog!! Grin it's called Emoji on the iPhone.

I have got the birth pool in a box. I'm going to buy some new liners and probably a new fill and empty kit for it.

Carlitawantsababy · 29/01/2012 11:22

That's good it came with most things you need then. I have found many don't have the heat proof cover which is essential if you want to fill it in advance, I am hoping to have a very quick labour like my mum so would not have time to fill it once I was in established labour. Your pictures didn't come up, just as question marks in black diamonds on my phone? Confused

Kayzr · 29/01/2012 11:29

Yeah they didn't work on mine either Sad

My pool doesnt have a cover either. I don't know if they do them so I'm going to have a look.

elliebug · 29/01/2012 13:21

Kayzr you have made my day with the emoji app!!! ?

MammaInTheMaking · 29/01/2012 13:50

Ellie this is my favourite animal ? (a cat) ?

Carlitawantsababy · 29/01/2012 14:07

I can see those! I want them! Which emoji app should I get? There are loads! I will also have to wait until I am at DSis' house as we've had wifi (and telly) cut off in prep for moving. as we should have been bloody moved by now

MammaInTheMaking · 29/01/2012 14:29

It's the free version. Just get one with lots of positive reviews Smile

Davinaaddict · 29/01/2012 15:07

Glad you had a lovely meal babybrain I hope your DP manage to catch you unawares though Grin I knew when we were getting engaged and although it was lovely, it kind of took some of the magic out of it.

I'm not sure I'm brave enough to actually start a thread Carlita I did once when DS was about 4 months old and got about 2 responses Sad They did help, which was good and I was very grateful for them but I was hoping to get more experiences. Since then I've wussed out of starting any, and just try and find ones that are similar Grin Actually VBAC is quite a popular one at the moment, so I can do my best stalker impression! How are you enjoying your mat leave? Have you got most of the house packed up yet?

Oooh emoji! Wonder if mine will work too! Test 1 ??

Test 2 ??

For ellie Grin

Davinaaddict · 29/01/2012 15:08

Booo neither worked for me!! They were aubergines in case you're wondering about the Ellie reference Sad

Davinaaddict · 29/01/2012 15:10

Ok final test then I'm giving up! 🍆😊

elliebug · 29/01/2012 16:25

I can see the aubergines but not the last 2 Sad I got the free app that had the description in English not Chinese!!

babybrain3 · 29/01/2012 16:25

I saw your aubergines davina my favourite is ? as I love camping!!! And at Xmas I used this one a lot?!!!

Davinaaddict · 29/01/2012 16:38

Now I'm seriously confused! Grin Test 1, I typed my post in the Notes app on my iPhone and then copied it all over to the MN app. Test 2 was adding them directly into the MN app and the last one was posting using Safari. And I can't see any that I've posted but can see everyone else's! Confused I feel like I'm going slightly potty Grin

elliebug · 29/01/2012 16:52

WeirdConfused

MammaInTheMaking · 29/01/2012 17:32

Glad you had such a lovely evening Babybrain. totally get what you're saying about getting engaged so quickly having got preggo. I hope your DP really surprises you. My DP proposed after a year and a half together, I didn't see it coming one bit. We've been together almost 3 years now and no real plans about wedding. I'd like to be married before I'm 30 (3 yrs to go!).

That's weird about those Emoji things Davina. I saw the aubergine! Here, have a slice of cake ! ?

Baby kept me up so much of last night, the kicking was constant!!! It's been chilling out this afternoon but is back to it's wiggling ways now. Do you think it's throwing a party in my belly?? I hope it sleeps tonight. Have joked that the sleepless nights because of baby have started a little sooner than I expected...

Carlita i'm loving that you're on your mat leave now. I hope you get to move real soon and can settle in your new home before baby arrives.

Carlitawantsababy · 29/01/2012 21:05

I can't see any of yours davina but can see babybrain's! I love camping too babybrain! Looking forward to taking the boy next time we go, going to aim for June when he'll be about 2 months, does that seem realistic? Grin
