msbuggywinkle, I do hope you enjoy the groaning as well as the drinking coffee and crocheting, otherwise that could be a very nice day marred. Can you do some really good heart-rending groans? Or would that upset DH too much, poor man?!
hawthers, sounds as though you need to enjoy being a drama queen, too, so at least you get some enjoyment from the tactless family... Would it help to consider the impact of any tears, making the tears properly cathartic, rather than just an expression of frustration?!
Glad sleep helped make it better, Bluebells. Any chance of a nap's doing the same for you today, OiMissus?
I'm not totally advocating the drama queen approach, though; it's very wearing in a small child - sympathies, Darciesmum!
jigglebum, if you want to feel smug that "at least we're not that badly off" with the DIY, you could always watch old episodes of "Property Ladder". I was desperate for some television the other day while I was sewing and sorting, and ended up watching several episodes, and marvelling at people's stupidity. This episode has a pair of particularly stupid people, who seem to actually not get away with it! Call me mean, but they are very unlikeable and didn't deserve to!
Hope that helps!
I really like that "once they pop they can't stop" title, LittleMiss! The other "buses" will all be very jealous of us!
I managed to get some sleep in the end, and DH woke me up with the joyful news that I had finally taken our spare bed apart, in preparation for us to move to a bigger room for the baby to come! He's now got our kingsize set up in the new room, but has told me sternly that he doesn't want to set up the spare bed yet, "because then you'll pop!"
Have I married a witch doctor rather than someone brought up in supposedly atheist and scientific Eastern Europe?! Amazing. Anyway, he's going to get DS soon, so there will be no carseatless transport, and I will get some hours to move clothes, do laundry and sort other things. Hahahaha, nesting is happening, whether DH frustrates it or not!
