Hi, I am five and and half weeks pregnant with baby number two. However I had MC last July at six weeks so very nervous as well as excited. I am due a six week scan on Friday to check if all is well so far. Because of this we haven't told anyone except my parents which is really hard as last time we told all the family but it was a strain listening to their attempts at sympathy when it when wrong. So here I am to announce to anyone that cares to listen that after six months I am pregnant again!! Yeah.

Topbanana great news. I ate pot of salad from salad cart at Sainsburys yesterday and I survived. I thought it was only in hot not so safety councious holiday destinations we needed to worry.

I am now ten+five and still feeling a bit dubious at times, although KK I am glad you shared our four times a day experience because I have been the same since the day I got pregnant and also a bit embarrased to tell anyone as the books etc just mention constipation.

Hi to Bella and any other newcomers that I have missed.

I am in East Sussex.

Had booking in appointment with midwife yesterday. Scan is booked for 22nd Feb.

Hope all with scans in next few days go well.

Hi everyone. I never get time to come on and post (I have ds and dd plus new puppy) so get way behind on catching up. I'm due 7th Sept and my first scan is on the 28th Feb.
My constant queasiness is starting to go now which is a pleasant surprise - I had it till about 13 weeks with the others. Just had dd's 3rd birthday party today (her actual birthday is tomorrow) so have od'd on sugar and pizza. Very healthy.
Highlander - I had massive cravings at this stage of my first pregnancy for salt and vinegar hula hoops and I had a boy. In fact I have the same cravings this time round too and am subsequently convinced it's another boy.
It's flying by this time - I can't believe I'm 10 weeks already. I've only told a couple of rl friends and decided to tell the others after the scan (nor have I told ds and dd) and thought it would seem like ages to wait but it's only two more weeks now.
Already feel like I'm showing. It's ok when I've got my coat on but I had to really carefully camoflage it at the party this afternoon. I bet when I 'come out' everyone will say they knew already. Who else is showing already?

HellKat · 10/02/2006 17:19

Showing here, wont be able to hide it much longer at all

kreamkrackers · 10/02/2006 17:42

homemama - you really do need to be looked at, you really do sound very ill. maybe phone the nhs direct, i think the numbers 0845 46 47. hope you're better soon.

hk - great news about the scan.

cc - it sounds like you're very busy so that's why time is flying for you, i need to get busy for time to fly forwards for me. i can't wait until we all hit the second trimester.

Brilliant news TopBanana...

Homemama...my heart goes out to you it really does. I'm sitting here feeling pants & want to be sick just to get rid of this awful feeling at the back of my throat but I'm not being. Sadly that relived feeling only lasts 5 mins & then you feel crap again....it does seem so bloody unfair how you & Norm are really suffering, then a few us quite bad & then some nothing at all...grrrrr it's hard not to feel bitterness & envy at those who don't suffer...!!!!!!!

Yep, fortunatley I have an excellent relationship with MIL who has been such a fantastic help this week. I was so desperate that when she turned up I just sobbed! Mabel I can't believe yours lives so close yet hasn't even bothered to help..

On & up girls...

Brilliant news Hellkat and TopBanana re. scans Homemama - so sorry to hear you're so ill Very at all these scans ans scan dates - I want mine... grrrr.... lol!!

Highlander · 10/02/2006 19:30

cupcakes - I'm hoping for another boy. DH tortured his sister when they were little! I'm hoping the Mars bar/Snickers thing kicks in soon. I must have had 2 bars a day last time - yum yum yum

cupcakes · 11/02/2006 09:05

I'm dreading my creme egg craving returning...
I've vowed to remain healthy for this pregnancy but I'm not sure how long it's going to last!

HellKat · 11/02/2006 09:12

Morning all.
Why is it you always crave what you're not allowed to have? I'm hankering after southern fried crispy chicken livers lol. Sounds gross but tastes devine! I'll ask my mw at the next appt if i can have some (just the once to satisfy this longing). So far I've been craving healthy stuff and gone off chocolate (that's why I think it's a girl this time, with the boys I lived off of choc).
I really hope the poor girls suffering feel better soon, my heart goes out to you all.
Have a great day/weekend all.
xxxxxxxxxxxx

kreamkrackers · 11/02/2006 09:29

when i was pg with dd i craved all sweet sickly stuff, woke up one morning and ate chocolate fudge cake and whipped cream! could never do such a thing when not pg. dd is starting to get worse just hoping this isn't going to be another hospital trip.

HellKat · 11/02/2006 09:35

Aww hun, sorry to hear. Here's hoping the little sweety gets better soon. xxxx

Rodeo · 11/02/2006 10:48

HK, really fab news, thanks so much for the pics!

Aw I try and stay off the ante-natal threads as they make me feel strangely reminiscent and a bit sad! And Jessie is sooooo grown up now at 4 months and I know I'm not having anymore.

Congratulations and best wishes to you and to the rest of the Due in Sept mums Keep me informed!

mabel1973 · 11/02/2006 10:55

good news about the scan TB and HK!
Homemama - it really sounds like you need to see someone about how you are feeling... I really hope it improves for you soon.
Well I have just polished off a huge saturday morning fry up - delicious. I have to say HK the southern fried crispy chicken livers sound revolting - but hey each to their own and as long as you're allowed to satisfy your craving that's what matters. I had a craving for flying saucers last week - yum!
Still squeezing in to my jeans, but my tummy is starting to protest and if I have to lean forward for any reason it's getting a bit painful!

mabel1973 · 11/02/2006 11:18

KK hope your dd is ok X

homemama · 11/02/2006 12:34

Thanks everyone. The worse thing about it is I just feel like such a crap mum as I'm not giving DS any attention.
I hate the 'sickness is all part of pregnancy' crap I get every time I phone the surgery. Why is it my job to coax them into looking at my notes from last time.
Norms, stemetil actually did nothing for me last time. Last time it was just easier to admit defeat and go in for a drip but this time I have DS to think about. DH is self employed and we've just taken on a huge mortgage. At the moment he's taking off 1day a wk + working from home 1 day so I'm only on my own for 3days a wk.
If I knew it would go at 12wks like standard morning sickness it would make me feel better but you and I know better.

Anyway, I'm really sorry to sound so down on what should be a happy thread. I know I'm not the only one who's suffering. Great to hear that scans went so well and that so many of you are starting to feel better. Have to say though, Hellkat, the fried chicken livers do sound yucky! Also, I'm sure that liver is one of the absolute no-nos of pregnancy.

Thank you everyone for being so supportive.

kreamkrackers · 11/02/2006 15:50

homemama i really do hope you get to feel better soon. i can't believe i was whinging on about a water infection and then a cold, it's just nothing in comparison. i agree that i don't think hk would be allowed liver as it contains loads of vitamin a, also i think once you taste something you're craving you can't stop eating it (or maybe that's just me?). bought dd a humidifier now, hopefully it'll help her. i looked so strange going out as i put her raincover on to stop her catching anything else and so that the air isn't as cold on her lungs.

HellKat · 11/02/2006 16:05

Yep liver's a huge no no lol that's why i fancy it.
Homemama- Hope you start to feel better soon hun, must be awful. You're not a crap mum at all, you can't help feeling shite. Is there anyone else that can help for the 3 days you're alone? Or maybe a playgroup/nursery where he can go?
KK- How's dd? Any better?

HellKat · 11/02/2006 16:06

Don't worry all, I won't be having any lol. I may give in when I'm 8/9 mths and have it once though

compo · 11/02/2006 16:06

ooh I would love some pate on crusty bread with my mum's homemade soup!!!
Was at work this morning and managed to throw up twice. I think I'm worse when I haven't had a good night's sleep. Dh has just taken ds to Toys R Us so I have 5 minutes peace!!

HellKat · 11/02/2006 16:08

Sorry to hear Compo.
You know, once the babba's are born we won't fancy any of this lol.

Angeliz · 11/02/2006 16:13

homemama, do hope you're feeling better soon!
HellKat, so pleased to hear about your scan+
Sorry for everyone else still feeling sick, must be awful!

I am showing! Still in normal clothes but very uncomfy!
Homemama, i know exactly what you mean about being more worried. I keep thinking i'm so lucky, i've got 2 healthy lovely daughters, what if something goes wrong this time? What about all these jabs.(Still constantly worried about dd2's jabs not yuet finished) It's my horror part of babyhood, the jabs.

Highlander, Congratulations

kreamkrackers · 11/02/2006 16:30

dd seems happy in herself so that's a good sign and she hasn't started sleeping all day so maybe i'm just over worrying. it's hard as she can occasionally just have a cold and that's it but most of the time a cold turns into a chest infection and we go into hospital for a couple of weeks. fingers crossed that it's just a simple cold this time.

cupcakes · 11/02/2006 18:38

I always fancy soft boiled eggs when I'm pregnant - and I'm sure it's only because I know that I shouldn't really. And then I'm never really bothered after the pregnancy.
