Our oven has stopped working Sad I am hoping it will make a miraculous recovery but it doesn't look good right now.

It should be in warrenty we think as its only been in about 18 months. Fingers crossed.

WhyAlwaysBoris · 24/11/2011 18:24

Miniangel "Bring on the glowing instead of the throwing" would be a good thread 3 name.

JjingleBeanplusPudalltheway · 24/11/2011 18:41

boris agreed! :)

Kayzr I hope its sorted asap for you, out one at at old, old, house stopped heating up after 16mnths and comet sent a repairs team out.

Florin · 24/11/2011 18:42

miniangel sorry you are having a hard time, hope u feel better soon.
Dh and I have decided on our boys name but cannot agree on any girls names which is making me really hope it's a boy as it will be much easier!

Dionysia · 24/11/2011 19:31

ah..my scan will be next thursday ...though have already seen heartbeat..

feeling less 'throwing' though not even near 'glowing' yet...tbh i don't remember hitting a 'glowing' stage in pregnancy. straight from sick and tired to fecking uncomfortable.

jj you'd be suprised how small a car you can weasel three car seats into. our little car can do it (two toddler seats with baby seat in the middle)

booking in appointment was really, really thorough. they seem to be taking in lots of detail...happily booked in as 'low risk' though....so on course for home birth number 4. typically, i had to go to the hospital to wangle some blood out of my tiny peek-a-boo veins anyway...and saw someone from work in the waiting room..they are as yet uninformed...

mrskitchen · 24/11/2011 20:05

Hello ladies,
So much has happened in the past few days...
bird: I'm so terribly sorry, what awful news. I hope you get through it all ok, and manage to enjoy the festive period.
Welcome dropit and congratulations!
All you other ladies who have had scans, congratulations, I'm very jealous. I can't wait for mine on TUESDAY!!! Will be 13 1/2 weeks by then and I'm so fearful that I can't even get excited. Also, had strange grumbly pains in my lower tum today. That as well as waking up feeling like my belly is empty and my sore boobs disappearing is worrying me. I hope the scan will alleviate some of this worry!
I'm incredibly impressed by all of you who have children to look after, I am barely managing to look after myself! Unnecessarily stressing ourselves out trying to get our house ready to sell so we can try to move before our new arrival. I hope it is all worth it!
Sleep well folks,
Mrs Kitchen xx

JjingleBeanplusPudalltheway · 24/11/2011 20:27

Dionysia we've had a more mature look at the car (we've just brought it so had a small paddy at the thought it was useless)

Its a peugeot 307 so not tiny, luckily ds has finally grown out of the 5pt harness weight range so he can leave his massive seat, britax evolva 123 so currently used as HBB, dd however is a mere 25lb at 3yo so no where near leaving hers so we planing to hit kiddicare and say dds seat stays we need one for ds and a newborn, work your magic lol. We have a graco HBB that we leave at my mums so hopefully ds can use that, although I prefer the britax as its got fantastic sips and he sleeps in it comfortably --and when we planned our two child family it would last him until he no longer needed a carseat-- have to say I cannot wait to be far along enough to hit kiddicare!!! Grin

Kayzr · 24/11/2011 20:35

I think we'll need a new car too. We have a ford focus and I can't see 3 seats fitting across the back. Which is a shame as its a good car.

JjingleBeanplusPudalltheway · 24/11/2011 21:46

Kayzr, 307's are apparently similar size to focus, so if we have any luck ill let you know, how old are your older two?

Florin · 24/11/2011 23:01

jj have you been to kiddicare bigstore? If so what is it like. Dh and I were wondering about making a list of thugs we need and g

Dalrymps · 24/11/2011 23:03

We've got a Nissan Almera Tino. It should fit 3 seats in, bought it for that purpose anyway so hope so!

Florin · 24/11/2011 23:04

Opps pressed send by mistake!
jj wondered about kiddicare big shop as thought about just making a list of things we need and going up there and buying them in one go. Especially as all the pushchairs we are interested are there so can see them all in one go.

JjingleBeanplusPudalltheway · 25/11/2011 00:23

I've lost count of how many times we've been to kiddicare, we lived in suffolk until recently and all the ils are midlands so we pass it frequently.

It is fantastic, and the price match everything even have pcs so you can check any prices and show them, they match and go a percentage lower also. They're really helpful. Great cafe too good food and we love it as it has a huge gated play bit so the dcs run off steam half way through our journey. I'll be going for the carseat team, they patiently fitted 11 seats in our car and dd in before we chose. There's always some kind of deal on, when dd was born if you spent £450 you got a travel cot or highchair free. I'd highly recomend it!

Oh and aftersales is brilliant too, repairs/replacements with no issues, something which mothercare/mamas and papas and toysrus are slated for horrendously. I love kiddicare a bit too much Grin

Florin · 25/11/2011 07:28

jj kiddicare sounds fab and definitely worth the trip. Think we will plan a big trip there when I am a bit further along

Morning to everyone! So thankful its Friday can't wait for a lie in tomorrow!

ecstatica · 25/11/2011 08:13

Morning all,

Minangel You're having a time of it! I hope you're managing to rest as much as possible agree that eating/nibbling every hour is a good way of managing the sickness. Having your mum around is a God send for sure, fingers crossed for scan. Will see how you are on Monday x

mrskitchen -- scan is only days away now! :)

Feeling tired, old, and plain FAT. Have a wedding party tonight and haven't a clue what to wear, nor did i have any motivation to shop Hmm.

Hope everyone will have a relatively good day! x

JjingleBeanplusPudalltheway · 25/11/2011 08:58

Its deffinatly worth it florin I have to admit I'd barely got my bfp and I thought about kiddicare, we didn't have a car until dd was 9mnths so never got to do the new baby shop but I've used it since for carseats, stroller and other bits and a travel stop :)

ecstatica I hope you chirp up soon, I have a meal out tomorrow and just feel awkward in all my clothes, despite loosing weight I've changed shape dramatically.

Dalrymps · 25/11/2011 09:14

Morning ladiesSmile

Not too sickly so far today. It seems to creep up on me as the day goes along these daysHmm

Anyone else suffering with constipation? Mine is getting real bad (TMI alert!) I actually bled last time I wentSad Have been drinking prune juice every morning but after yesterday am upping it to morning and night and have taken some lactulose this morning too. Such a wonderful side effect of pregnancy..

Warlin · 25/11/2011 09:43

Morning all

Thanks for the advice, I've ordered a baby name book from Amazon. I have decided on the girls name in my head though haven't really talked to DH about it yet :) The names he has said he likes don't go with our surname..do men not think of that??

DH has the man flu cold....really annoying me as I feel exhausted and queezy yet he thinks he is sicker and that I should be giving lots of sympathy. Lying on in bed this morning while I walked the dog at 6.30.Hope he's better for the weekend as can't cope with men when they're sick!

I'm going to start back to the gym this weekend. Weighed myself yest and was horrified....gained 3 kilos! I know it's inevitable but nothing prepares you for what the scales say. Loving my belt bands.....can actually close my jeans when I use them.

I'm 11 weeks today so one more week and I'll start to relax..hopefully.

jj I can't wait for the 4d scan. I would quite like to know the sex, in the same way as I like to know what's in my christmas pressie before christmas day!!! DH not so keen though.

Kiddicare sounds fab. I'm in NI and we don't have it. Only mothercare, mamas and papas and toys r us.

When is everyone going to start looking at prams? You have to order them a good bit in advance don't you?

Hope everyone has a sick free day and at least it's nearly the weekend :)

Kveta · 25/11/2011 09:44

morning all!

Dalrymps you're not alone :( I didn't suffer from it at all with DS, so am not impressed this time. I have been really struggling to eat any fruit too, as I tend to bring it up before it hits my bowels Hmm lovely. I managed a pot of pineapple yesterday though, and feel a bit better this morning. I'm so bloody gassy too, it's grim. I'm farting and belching for Britain. Isn't pregnancy such a magical time...

sickness is definitely getting a bit better, but am constantly nauseous, and no food appeals at all. Except a bit of stollen yesterday, mmm :o but haven't thrown up for a few days, which is nice!

Miniangel · 25/11/2011 13:49

Kveta I am with you on the gassy front. DH calls me gas machine. Keep burping away not to mention farting.

Ecstatica Thanks honey. You will look great tonight, do not fret. Wardrobes have a way of bringing up something suitable after you stand in front of it for ages. That is what is happening to me at the moment. Wink

We have to house hunt now and today is the first day. With my Mum here and Peanut on the way the 2 bed flat is sooo small. I am trying to muster energy to go around and look at properties. If we find something we will be moving around Christmas. O! joy. I am dreading going back to work next Wednesday.

ffnorm · 25/11/2011 14:49

Hi everyone - as always trying to catch up on the thread...

So sad to hear about bird Sad!!!

miniangel is your mum here for good? That's great as you've had a rough time so far.

dairymps I know exactly what you mean... and life has been so hectic lately that I lose track of when I last went Blush sorry TMI. the midwife says it should improve after the 1st trimester but can't remember if that was the case with DS

JJ will have to google and see if there is a Kiddicare near me.

So our scan is next week Thurs, will be 12+2,cant wait as it will be the 1st sighting of our sprout.

ceeej · 25/11/2011 15:14

wow I just googled Kiddicare, it looks awesome enough to merit a special trip, I have a feeling DH is going to enjoy picking out car seats and buggies

JjingleBeanplusPudalltheway · 25/11/2011 15:26

dairy I am too, its horrible :( the pain was soo soo bad last night I was convinced I was miscarrying, luckily I had some sleep and rationalised and managed to go to the loo.

Have felt sick all day :(

As far as I'm aware there's just one kiddicare in peterborough. But it does everything cheaper than everywhere! They have a buggy test track, steps, bumps slopes etc which is fab. You can really try stuff out which I wish I had 1st time round, played at folding fitting in car etc.

I've got my pram sorted as we brought a new one on a whim as it was cheap for long walks as dd is small --and whingy-- and I love it that much were buying the carrycot/carseat etc for it. Although I have been eyeing up the icandy peach I know the seats on icandy aren't huge and i want rearfacing as long as possible and dd fits nicely in our mutsy facing me.

Rrrrayray · 25/11/2011 17:58

Hi all

Good day here, almost afraid to say as got a feeling may return tomorrow but no vomitting today and almost no nausea too. Just when I needed to snack on something! Hmm

Was thinking perhaps we should have a whole new thread for stats? Saw another antenatal club had that, then the most recent post will be most up to date. Especially as scans are likely to jigg our due dates about?!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend planned x

Kayzr · 25/11/2011 19:16

I'm sorry for all the sickness. Hopefully most of it will be finished soon.

JJ I saw Breaking Dawn earlier!!! It was sooo amazing. I can't wait for part 2. Though I was certainly the oldest person in the cinema. I'm only 25!! I felt like an old woman.
