I dreamt my best work mate was beating me up a few days ago! I had to make a formal complaint because she shoved me into a fridge. This was before I knew.

Went to drs today, have to ring midwifery team and make an appointment, going to hold off for a week or two before ringing them I think. He gave me a flu jab and prescribed me folic acid, but I said I already had some folic acid and he cancelled the prescription. Weird. It was my least favourite dr on shift today but couldn't be bothered to wait for other one to be on duty. Still, midwife from now on all being well.

Still can hardly believe it, I'm supposed to be going on shopping trip/night out tomorrow, still going but will take it easy and not drink. And not buy any small clothes :D

misslaughalot · 28/10/2011 18:23

Wow did I speak too soon, had the most horrible hour of feeling sick this afternoon, which was brilliant as it really gives me hope that the little dude is in there!

And I got home to find I've been booked in for a scan on December 9th! Exciting!

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 28/10/2011 18:35

Evening all!

Welcome tripp2!

Well, I was expecting a shocking day for nausea given how I felt this morning, but actually not been bad.

We've ordered a curry (naughty takeaway, but when you live opposite an amazing indian takeaway, what's a girl to do!) and are going to settle in with a DVD or two.

Re the cheese thing - I've decided I'm not going to let baby dictate my cheese consumption. I just need stronger cheddar - the stuff we've got is a bit mild. When I think of the stuff in the fridge I feel really queasy, but when I think of some quality cheese, my mouth waters! So, shopping for some Seriously Strong tomorrow and reminding this baby who's mum!

Have a good evening everyone!

SleepyFergus · 28/10/2011 19:07

Hi there, I've been lurking for a few days since finding out I'm pregnant. Due date is 12th June but I think I might not be as far along as 7+4 as I have long cycles.

This is my 3rd preg, first ended up with mcat 10 weeks (bleeding and scan showed baby had died at 7 weeks), 2nd preg ended up with my beautiful DD who turned 2 yesterday. So this is my 3rd and I'm tying myself up in knots with the 'have I got symptoms or not' conundrum and prodding my boobs every 30 seconds.

I don't seem to have any stretching pains either, the only thing I have is nausea. It's not bad but comes and goes through the day.

Driving myself bonkers!

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 28/10/2011 19:21

Ok how bad is it that I'm already looking at carrycots and carseat adaptors for our buggy?

OP posts:
StarlightMcKenzie · 28/10/2011 19:40

Lol. I traditional get stuff after the baby is born. Even still I bought shed loads of useless stuff with dc1.

I'll probably use our rickety mclaren Ryder when not using a sling. It will be 6 years old. And will sleep with baby until whenever I get fed up at which point I'll look for another sleeping solution. I'm not bothering with sterilising. Read enough to know it's pointless hassle and I never did do changing bags but shoved a nappy, small pack of wipes, muslin, body and sleepsuit in my pocket.

Prolly do need to think about car seats though.

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 28/10/2011 19:58

I still have ds/dds cot bed as dd went into a single mere weeks ago, baby swing and gym still lurking too.

Few weeks ago dp had an insane moment and brought a bloody great mutsy urban rider with deluxe seat, buggy board, baby bag, etc for £50 brand new!!! --hes an ebay whore-- Planned to use it for a trip we went on for dd as our stroller couldn't cope with off roading! Turns out that £50 was well spent as I love love the pram so I've cleaned it off and garaged it for this baby.

Had to let the insane excitement out somewhere so I've name changed JjandtheBean are ds and dds nns :)

TeaandHobnobs · 28/10/2011 22:34

I wondered why the other thread had gone all quiet - I've found you now!

Eventful day for me. After yesterday's pain, DH forced me to go to the docs today, who sent me off to the emergency gynae unit just in case. All is well, 6+1, heartbeat, in the right place. Seems that the pain is probably due to the large cyst (corpus luteum) on my right ovary, which will hopefully disappear as the placenta forms - they're going to keep an eye on it at later scans, and gave me some industrial strength painkillers in case I have another day like yesterday. Feel a little less like a wimp now!

Also got my blood tests done while I was at the hospital - poor med student was having a lot of trouble, I have very uncooperative veins! He had to try both arms, so I feel rather like a pin cushion now!

So all in all, quite relieved, and DH even more so (apparently he went into full panic mode at work and couldn't do anything)

Here's to a hopefully much less eventful few weeks!

Hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend. Welcome to the newbies!

JjandtheBeanplusPud · 28/10/2011 22:42

tea so glad you had a positive consultation, so lucky you've heard the heartbeat I'm 6+5 and desperate for some 'real' evidence.

Fingers crossed things go well and you don't need the painkillers :)

Kayzr · 29/10/2011 07:44

Morning!!

I slept all night!! Grin. Must be the first time since getting my BFP.

Tea that's great about the heartbeat.

The boys are at their Dads this weekend so it's very quiet here. It does mean no cartoons though. Not sure how I'll cope without Spongebob Grin

JjandtheBeanplusPud · 29/10/2011 07:47

Morning kayzr.

Anyone else on #3 or more had sections? Seriously stressing myself and could do with a calm telling off.

FluffyMitchell · 29/10/2011 07:49

Hi everyone, I've taken ages to mark my place on this thread, think i am still trying to believe that after almost 6 months of ttc no. 2, we finally have!
Am 7 weeks today and feeling pretty ok, apart from PMT-like moodiness and v.sore boobs. Also super sense of smell (for stinky things like sour milk and garlic). As for the hunger thing, I have a major fear about putting on too much weight because I am about 3 stone overweight now and a size 16-18. I used to be slimmer and very fit but put on 3 stone with first pg. Still, that doesn't stop me eating my favourite thing right now - low fat fruit yogurt with mixed nuts, yum!
Oh, and my due date is 17 June.
Bye for now

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 29/10/2011 08:08

Welcome Sleepy & Fluffy!

tea - really glad things went well for you.

Well, lousy night's sleep for me last night. Have a hairdresser's appointment at 9am so no chance of a lie in either. Felt okay when I got up but now I've had breakfast I feel quite queasy. Bleurgh.

See you guys later - hope everyone has a nice Saturday!

openerofjars · 29/10/2011 08:31

Morning all! So this is where you all are. Very impressed with all these early risers.

I am a little concerned as I haven't been sick for two days and throwing up in the morning has been my routine for a few weeks now. If it carries on I think I will give the midwife a ring as I gather that sudden loss of symptoms is not a good thing. Or I could count my blessings: I'm still getting up in the night for a wee and am still tired, so maybe I'm just getting a couple of days off.

Fluffy, I can't do garlic either. Used to love it but now I sound like my grandma.

Dalrymps · 29/10/2011 09:38

Morning ladies,

I had a tiny speck of blood on wiping this morning. I know it's probably nothing but made me worry anyway.. Called the maternity unit and they said to wear a pad and call if I get any more. I hope there isn't any moreSad

Dalrymps · 29/10/2011 09:48

seriously sorry you slept badly. Hope you make it through your hair appSmile

opener I'm sure all is fine. My sickness seems to calm down for a few days then get worse again. Always best to get checked though if your worried, even just to put your mind at rest x

TeaandHobnobs · 29/10/2011 09:48

Oh Dalrymps Sad I'm sure it will be ok, fingers crossed

JjandtheBeanplusPud · 29/10/2011 09:50

Dairymps. Take it easy rest as much as possible xx

SleepyFergus · 29/10/2011 09:56

Thanks for tbe welcome all.

Dalrymps - hope it was nothing and stops at just that speck. I wear panty liners everyday for knicker watch (as wear lots of coloured knickers and blood might not show up so easily). It's an obsession of mine.

Excuse for asking, tmi alert, but does anyone feel wet down there? I'm forever rushing to the loo expecting the worst and it's just watery yellow discharge?I remember this from my last pregnancy but it still freaks me out! Another good reason to stock up on those ultra thin panty liners.

Jars - I'm having a www bit loss of symptoms too. Don't seem to have any more stretching pains and my boobs are less sore. It's driving me nuts to be honest. I still have nausea so that's keeping me going, but still worried. Hopefully everything is okay for you, how far along are you? I think symptoms can start to taper off sooner than the 'statutory' 12 week mark.

Hope everyone is well.

Rrrrayray · 29/10/2011 10:25

Darlylumps - lots of rest & fingers crossed.

Sleepy - I have the damp discharge too, I remember it well from last time. I think it's only if it suddenly starts to have an odour or change colour that you are to be concerned, as can be a sign of an infection of some sort.

Nausea continues an on going battle to stop myself being sick. Heaved this morning at half full kitchen bin. Had to get DH to empty straight away.

Parents arrived last night so have DD this morning. Lovely.

Off to London tomorrow to take her to Disney on ice. Anyone seen it?

JjandtheBeanplusPud · 29/10/2011 10:39

Sleepy, I have that too, I'm forever rushing to the loo panicing!

Rrrrr- my little sister went last week with rainbows, she said its was brilliant and amazing, the pictures in her program sure are impressive (she's 6 btw) mil had said shed buy dcs tickets for early christmas pressie, still waiting so guess not...

lemonsherbet · 29/10/2011 11:16

Just adding myself to the list. Feel like a bit of a fraud only being 5 weeks and not having any symptoms. Can not wait to be a bit further alone. Must be so exciting to be getting scan dates through.
