HI everyone

Diege - how was the HV?

Rugby- your 1st trimester is going quick too. Hope time to scan goes fast.

Smithy- glad things are abit better sickness wise- although still sounds a challenge.

Hi Ses :)

Hi Tinks (or should I say Kitty?) - im not at all organised.

Well, im on DPO 8 (I think). Eye twitching is still there. I googled is as an early preg symtoms and it comes up! but very randomly and related to be tired and run down rather than directly a possible symptom. Though- I think you could google anyyhting as a symptom and you'd get someone who had it Grin
Today, Im feeling really sick, tired and emotional. Proven by fact I've just got brownie to have at my desk and dont fancy it (though didnt want to cry about it ! Wink

Might be something else- been feeling a bit up and down recently anyway so possibly not related!

I will know if this is all in my imagination soon enough i guess!

Diege · 11/11/2011 15:17

Ooh GING sounding good! When might you test? Wink
Hv fine thanks, pretty nondescript variety who started off the conversation with 'Now, do you know what a health visitor is??' Hmm Also very disparaging of gina F, but just smiled and nodded etc etc...Back when Samuel is 7 weeks. Think I have to have my own 6 week check with gps - never had one before (they used to combine with babies at 7 weeks and never really did much other than ask if you were ok). Anyone know what they might do? No 'examination' as such I hope??
Hope everyone's ok - any news from anyone on BUMPS??

GingerbreadLatte · 11/11/2011 15:47

I really cant remember my 6wk check. think I asked for examination as things felt rather 'dislodged' by the birth but thing significant came of that....

Testing... well, was going to wait til wed, but might hang on til friday if there is no sign of AF. Next week is manic and I am WFH friday so it would be easier than trying to POAS at 5.30am then rushing to office on either Wed or thurs. Grin

GingerbreadLatte · 11/11/2011 15:48

I really should proof read, * nothing significant

LebkuchenStars · 11/11/2011 16:00

Tee hee - then I predict either one of 2 things will happen next week: a) either you have far more willpower than me (not hard) and than I give you credit for and you will hold out 'til Fri or b) roll on Weds because Ginger will be POAS WinkGrin!!! I accept any abuse next week when option a is proved right....

Glad HV went okay Diege... Hmm did she not know anything about you and that DS2 is your 5th?!!

GingerbreadLatte · 11/11/2011 16:47

Grin star

Moosy · 11/11/2011 18:36

Bumps texted me earlier and said they're not inducing her just yet as the baby is so high that there was a high risk of cord prolapse so they didn't want to do it with her on the ward, she has to wait for a bed on delivery. She's very fed up :(

Kayzr · 11/11/2011 18:48

I'm bleeding Sad I am trying to get a scan tomorrow but it doesn't look hopeful.

Diege · 11/11/2011 19:07

KAYZ, don't panic, I'm sure it's harmless as your pregnancy symptoms have been so strong. I (and BUmps) both had bleeds at about the same stage as your are now and all was well. Really hoping you get your scan x
MOOS, thanks for the update - poor BUMPS! At least the end is in sight now though. Please pass on my good wishes from the 'other side' .

Kayzr · 11/11/2011 19:16

They won't scan until Monday. I hate the way they seem to think our lives just stop on a weekend.

smithylovesme · 11/11/2011 19:31

KAYZ- i know its easy for me to say but try not to panic like Diege says it happened to her and Bumps around this time. Your symptoms have been realy strong. How much bleeding? Have you had any cramping? Are you still getting pregnancy symptoms? It is unfair how they don't scan at the weekend, i know there is nothing that can be done but all the worry and stress could be avoided.
I hope you are ok and have someone with you as i know the boys are away this weekend.
Have a big hug from me.

Kayzr · 11/11/2011 19:35

No cramping at all.

Kayzr · 11/11/2011 19:35

No one can be with me as everyone is out.

smithylovesme · 11/11/2011 19:46

can i send you my mobile number via facebook? Have you told anyone else in RL?

Kayzr · 11/11/2011 19:55

Yeah stupidly everyone knows as I have never wanted to keep it a secret.

LebkuchenStars · 11/11/2011 21:15

Kayz - hope you can feel reassured by the other lovelies on here. Sorry you're experiencing this. Seem to recall that it's quite common to have a little bleed when you would otherwise have had AF and agree your pg symptoms have been strong.

Tink - I need your advice: need a reasonably priced pressie for a 6yo girl. Am thinking Moshlings or a snuggle pet - what do you think of those as an idea? Is a mottling value pack any good on its own (if she has nothing else Moshling?), Are your DDs into snuggle pets at all? Thanks!

Kayzr · 11/11/2011 21:26

I have booked a private scan tomorrow.

Diege · 11/11/2011 22:42

Good luck for tomorrow KAYZ; what time is the scan? I'm sure everything will be fine, and you will be suitably reassured xxx

Kayzr · 11/11/2011 22:47

1pm. My mum said she would come with me so I am not alone.

I haven't had any more bleeding and there isnt any pain. So it sounds ok but I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

Rugbylovingmum · 12/11/2011 07:28

Good luck for the scan today Kayz! It's a good sign that the bleeding has stopped and you don't have any cramps. I'm glad your mum can go with you and hold your hand. I know it's hard but try not to worry too much, not too long to wait now.

Bumps - I hope they manage to find you a bed soon, it's horrible just hanging around waiting for something to happen Sad.

Diege - lol at 'do you know what a hv is' Grin.

Ginger - roll on Wednesday Wink.

SESthebrave · 12/11/2011 08:17

Morning!

Kayz - fingers crossed for you for today. The fact that you've had no cramps and that the bleeding stopped is a good sign but I know you won't feel better until a reassuring scan. Let us know how you get on x

As some of you have seen from FB, we had our own dramas last night. O had had a temperature at nursery since 2.30pm. A dose of Calpol at 3pm and another at 5pm, didn't bring it down at all and as I drove him home, his breathing got very rapid & shallow so I decided to see if our GP would see him. She was v good and hung on at the end of surgery but was concerned by his breathing and referred us to the hospital to rule out pneumonia! She even offered to call an ambulance to get us there but I said it would be just as quick for me to drive.
We were at the hospital until nearly 10pm but they were v good. The main issue was trying to get his temperature down and the fact that his tonsils were huge. Eventually we came home with antibiotics and a salbutamol inhaler for a slight wheeze on his chest.

He didn't settle well last night so the 3 of us had a disturbed night in bed together. At 5am though he woke up and decided he wanted to go downstairs and play! There was no persuading him otherwise so he's been up playing since then. He's had a drink and a snack and seems ok with no temperature!

Now I don't think he'll be going to rugbytots this morning, but this afternoon we've got tickets to see Bob the Builder at the local theatre. Would you take him if he seems ok and no temperature? Or if you were another parent there would you far rather he wasn't there in case of spreading any bugs? He has been looking forward to it and would seem a shame not to go but I don't want to be unfair to others in the audience.
What would you do?

OP posts:
Kayzr · 12/11/2011 09:13

Bloody hell Ses I am a bad mummy and would still take him if he seems ok in the afternoon. I hope he's feeling better very soon.

I feel very sick still. I don't know if it's ms anymore or if it's nerves.

Diege · 12/11/2011 09:14

SES, I'd go with ds I think if his temp has gone. They'll be children there who will be harbouring all sorts of bugs etc that are yet to manifest themselves (not to add to your concerns!) and if ds is well I don't think I'd hesitate to go. That's just me though! Grin
KAYZ, will check in later to see how things have gone at the scan. Sure things are fine but I do know how nerve wracking these early scans are xxx
D

Diege · 12/11/2011 09:16

Meant to add that Ds2 seems to be going throguh a growth spurt as feeding twice last night - I knew the once a night wouldn't last! Off for shower now while he sleeps x
