I've just had the strangest feeling. It felt just like those first fluttering baby movements. I know it obviously isn't as I'm just 5 weeks. I'm guessing it's my uterus stretching but never felt it like that before.

Oh and TMI but my boobs bloody ache.

smithylovesme · 21/10/2011 08:41

Morning

Feeling crap, everytime i eat i get really bloated and can feel the food kind of stuck high up in stomach, then i get really really bad stomach pains followed by a lot of gas eventually Blush pains worse if i am moving around so been doing a lot of lying about so now have backache too. Plus nausea on the top, feelng really sorry for myself. :(
DS is full of cough and cold so been up most nights for past few days too ending up in our bed so crap sleep. Just want to curl up in a ball and hibernate for next 10 weeks.
DD's off school today and we are going away for the weekend tonight when DH finishes work so i have all the packing and housework to get done before then.

Sorry about the me post needed to vent as still not telling anyone in RL.

Kayz- sounds like it could be the uterus stretching, probably feel it more as you have already been there?? Sorry for achey boobs, has the sickness and stomach bug?

SES- present suggestions? My 7 and 5 year old are into zoobles the new crazy in toy shops, moshi monsters? Barbies, they love anything to make and keep asking for that chocolate coin maker but i will not give in :o a board game my girls love pictureka? Hope thats some help.

Diege- any news yet?

Bumps- how did the appointment with the consultant go? Hope they took your concerns seriously and offered you an early induction.

Hello to everyone else, will try and pop bck later before we head off :)

Hello! 38 weeks today and feel it could be any time. Baby not engaged, but head down which is probably as good as it gets for me. I have a feeling he will come next week (half term Angry) but if there was anyway I could hang on for another week that would be much better!
SES, wow bumping into BUMPS!! (BUMPS, how did appointment go??). IN terms of pressies, if goddaugthter likes crafts etc aqua beads might be a good bet (though requires adult help), or dare I say the dreaded moon sand??(no help but cleaning up after a bit of a nightmare) Both went down well with my 3 dds.
SMITHY, I also suffered with feeling of 'food at top of abdomen' at your stage, very unpleasant. Good luck wth the packing - I'd def be thinking 'minimalist' at this stage.
TINKS, e-bay sounds good - I have an item ending today too. Just wish I could motivate myself to get the rest of my stuff listed!
GING, how is the work situation going??
KATZ, how are things?
Absolutely no appetite today, like at start of pregnancy - could that be a sign of impending labour? Confused.

Kayzr · 21/10/2011 15:20

I'm feeling loads better today. I've eaten food that isn't toast and not rushed to the toilet. So I hope that it's gone now. So I can have a takeaway Grin

GingerbreadLatte · 21/10/2011 16:29

ooh Diege- exciting stuff though hope he hangs on until you are ready. ... will you be able to text someone to let us knowwhen it happens? Happy to be message man

Did you get any further with name choice?

Kayz- hooray for feeling better! Grin do take it easy though with that takeaway..

Job stuff is ok thanks for asking Diege- still massively behind and missing a work event this after noon to catch up. Not great either but least I can do some work!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 21/10/2011 18:28

things are really going downhill with DH see www.mumsnet.com/Talk/employment_issues/1326217-DH-being-victimised-in-his-company-think-his-senior-are-trying-to-get-him-sackedhere if you want it know more.

I just feel so bad that there isn't really anything i can do... its not like i can even try and get a job as i can't afford to bring in the money DH does, and until he left i have no childcare :( it's all just so bad. I really worry that DH might do something stupid...

I hate seeing him off to work everyday knowing he hates it :(

He's just text me saying no-one at HR will talk to him, and he is pretty certain he's gonna loose his job...

Kayzr · 21/10/2011 18:51

Oh Cant I am so so so sorry. I have read and I can't offer any advice except could DH speak to citzens advice or a solicitor to see what can be done.

I'm gonna send you my new number on facebook so you can always text me if you need to vent at someone.

Thinking of you and sending you all hugs and sending his boss a swift kick in the nuts. xxx

Diege · 21/10/2011 20:20

CANT, so sorry to hear you and dh are going through this - what a nightmare.
Some good advice on your thread - yes, you can indeed raise a grievance while going through a disciplinary. I would also strongly suggest your dh getting in touch with the union. He doesn't have to be a member, they will still represent him. CAB will help with this if he's not sure who the rep is for his company (there will be one).
GING, names talk has stalled, but Samuel seems to be up there still! I'll try and post when I go into labour, then get dh to update as he did last time on MN!
Still total loss of appetite, going to try can of soup!
KAYZ, that takeaway you were mentioning should be mine!!! Grin

SESthebrave · 21/10/2011 20:32

Cant - have replied on your other thread. So sorry that you are going through this.

Diege - ooh! Could be close!!! I think I had the 23rd on the sweep stake so if you don't mind.....

Kayz - glad you are feeling better

Ginger - hello! Hope you managed to get away from work and leave it all behind you for the weekend

Thanks for all the present ideas. Really helps. I'm going to decide and order tonight.

OP posts:
Kayzr · 21/10/2011 20:35

Diege Please just hold on 6 days Grin then I'll win sweepstake!!

I didn't have a takeaway, I am just thinking that maybe I can have one Monday or something, I hope so anyway. Or this baby will be born looking like a piece of toast.

Kayzr · 21/10/2011 22:14

I have heartburn Sad surely it's not possible for it to start at 5+2. I was at least 8 weeks with DS2 before it started.

If we ever have a DC4 I'm not doing a test. I'll just wait until the heartburn starts. It's 100% fail proof with me. I only have it when pg.

Diege · 22/10/2011 10:18

6 days feels about right KAYZ! (same pregnancy length as ds) I also had heartburn very early on - now it has reached horrendous proportions, the worst case I have had in all of my pregnancies last night!
Have put a piccy of me onto my profile at 38 weeks - very bloated, dropped bump, knackered looking - 'walking contraception' as my 'friend' kindly put it yesterday Hmm
Hope everyone's ok and enjoying the start of the weekend xxx

GingerbreadLatte · 24/10/2011 09:53

Morning all

very quiet on here this weekend!

How is everyone?

We had a lovely weekend. Grin back to work now though Sad

Rugbylovingmum · 24/10/2011 13:11

Morning Ginger - we've had a good weekend too. On Saturday we had a joint birthday party for all the NCT kids which was fun then I went to a friends spa/facial party which was lovely. I spent far too much money but the products are really good and I think I deserve a treat plus I managed to get a few bits for xmas. I've had a good morning with DD today but she is now throwing a huge tantrum in her cot because she doesn't want to nap even though she can barely keep her eyes open . We are meant to be meeting friends at the park later so I'm hoping she gives in soon!

Starshinetiger · 24/10/2011 13:49

Glad you had good weekends Ginger and Rugby. Agree, been very quiet on here.
Hope you are both still hanging on in there Diege and Bumps. Figure it's bound to be quiet on here since it's half-term. Probably wrong time to ask then, but looking for some pushchair advice. Thinking we can probably move to a lightweight pushchair for trips away now. DD is 2.5 and likes to walk, but gets tired. Any recommendations? Can't, I remember you buying one earlier in the year, but can't remember what.
Thanks!

SESthebrave · 24/10/2011 14:13

Hello! Weekends good everywhere :)

Ginger - hello

Rugby - how are you feeling? Have you got a scan date? Birthday celebration and Spa party sound great!

Star - we bought a McClaren Quest earlier in the year and really pleased with it. How's DD? Recovered ok?

I hope all is well with Bumps & Diege. I really think they should be checking in each day at the moment Wink

I've just paused for lunch. Needing a few minutes to myself as one if my team phoned me this morning to tell me she'd gone into premature labour over the weekend at 22 weeks. Her baby boy lived for an hour and they're burying him this afternoon :(
There are no words :(

OP posts:
GingerbreadLatte · 24/10/2011 14:32

oh Ses Sad thats terrible news and you are right there are no words. It made my spine shiver when I read that.

Star- I dont know much about buggys, im sure someone more clued up will be along soon though :)

x

GingerbreadLatte · 24/10/2011 14:34

Rugby, sorry didnt mean to ignore you was kind of put off by the sad news about ses' employee.

Did your DD enjoy herself?

Did you do your shopping trip?

Diege · 24/10/2011 15:50

That is such sad news SES Sad Puts aches and pains etc into perspective x
RUGBY, sounds like a great weekend of pampering, and nice to buy some bits to take home too.
STAR, Maclaren's are great - I think the Volo is the lightest they do, though doesn't recline. We've had the Quest too and it is fab.
GING, hope work is bearable x
Ok here, though feeling very uncomfortable and full of heartburn. Half term this week and have got the cinema/McDonalds/shopping centre out of the way so am planning on keeping things reasonably quiet for the rest of the week. Really hoping I can hold on for the hairdresser on weds (she's coming here and doing everyones!) It would be too cruel to go into labour with roots Wink
Hope you're ok BUMPS if you are out there!

hellokittyruleswastink · 24/10/2011 17:40

Kayzr · 24/10/2011 20:16

hellokittyruleswastink · 24/10/2011 20:54

SESthebrave · 25/10/2011 09:58

Told my mum and she actually sounded really pleased!

Hope you're all ok :)

OP posts:
Rugbylovingmum · 25/10/2011 11:00

Brilliant news Ses, I'm sooooo pleased GrinGrinGrin. My scan isn't until the 17th November so I still have ages to wait. I'm so sorry for your team member Sad, it is just awful news.

Tink - hooray for fb sales Grin

Diege - lol at you not wanting to go into labour with roots Grin, hope you hold on until Wednesday.

Ginger - I had a fab shopping trip, thanks for asking. I bought lovely brown knee high boots, a couple of skirts, lovely thick tights, some tops and a couple of lovely warm cardies. I wanted some outfits that are cosy without being too frumpy and I've already had some compliments so I'm very pleased. How has work been this week? I hope your awful boss is keeping his complaints to himself!

Star - no idea about buggies sorry but lots of my friends have maclarens and they always seem to be well loved.

Bumps - hope you are well. How did your appt with the consultant go?
