Morning all Grin

Ses- wonderful news about the scan. So pleased for you. Grin Grin Grin Grin Do you have date for the 12 wk one now?

Rugby- shopping sounds good! lovely to get compliments too.

Diege- hope you get through your hair-do before labour starts!

Kayz- how are you feeling now?

Hi Tink- how are things

Bumps- good luck!

Work much better this week although busy :)

Better crack on- will be lurking. xx

Diege · 26/10/2011 09:53

Hello! So glad the scan as positive SES, you must be so happy and relieved. Are you allowing yourself to relax now? You should be Grin
GING, glad work is a little better.
RUGBY shopping sound like it was a sucess after all. Did you choose maternity, or regular clothes that will fit and are comfortable?
TINKS, great about the ebay - that's quite a result!
BUMPS, hope you're ok - not long for us now!
Ok here - hair at 3pm, should be ok...Had some period-type pains last night, along with usual braxton hicks, so have a feeling it will be very soon. Ds was born 38 + 6 which would be tomorrow for this one!

Kayzr · 26/10/2011 10:53

Morning,

Ginger Much better thank you. I can eat and its brilliant Grin But I am eating too much. If I start to feel hungry I feel sick so having to nibble on things all the time.

Diege I hope he hangs in there until after your hair has been done. I can remember rushing to shave my legs when contractions started with DS2.

Awful night here. No sleep at all caused by a bloody spider. I managed to get rid of it but then couldn't sleep for fear of there being another one.Sad

Yawn!!

hellokittyruleswastink · 26/10/2011 10:54

ginger - all gd here

diege - not long !! Grin
enjoy hair Grin

have picked up bks this morning
not doing much else today

Rugbylovingmum · 26/10/2011 11:20

Morning Diege - how exciting! I will be lurking watching for more news. I went for a mix of regular and maternity clothes in the end - mostly regular bits that have a little bit of room but I bought 2 maternity skirts from JoJo maman bebe and a maternity dress and 2 tops from mothercare because they were on offer. I bought some maternity jeans from ebay too so I'm all set.

Kayz - glad you are feeling better today and managing to eat something.

Tink - have a nice relaxing day.

Morning Ginger

Diege · 26/10/2011 12:52

Sounds like good, focused shopping RUGBY!
KAYZ, that's awful about the spider Shock - do you have a real phobia? Good that you can eat though Grin
TINKS, when does your dd's half term finish? Not back till Tuesday here...
No more pains, but every evening this last week they have been getting more and more painful - more 'periody' than BHs...I suppose that's normal and it's got to happen, but feeling very scared. Worried about what RUGBY was discussing (continual monitoring) and how this is going to stop me being mobile.. Am seeing consultant tomorrow (if I make it that long) so will try and raise it then and finally get the birth plan written!

Kayzr · 26/10/2011 13:04

Yes Diege I have a phobia. My brother put some in my bed when I was about 7 and I've been terrified since then. Sad

smithylovesme · 26/10/2011 13:06

SES- fantastic news been thinking of you :) glad your mum was happy to.

Rugby- shopping trip sounds great, sounds like you may of even enjoyed it :o

Tink- well done on Ebay, have sold a few things recently but not made anything like you :) Do you have the selling limit of 10 per month? I have a new account since returning and have only bought until last month and now can only sell 10 things a month!

Can't- sorry for everything that is going on for you, read the thread and agree with DH making a complaint, get it all recorded.Hope things start looking up for you soon.

Kayz- glad you feeling better, but sorry for no sleep, getting you prepared for the new baby :)

Diege- all sounds exciting with you hope you hold out until after the hairdresser has been, roots in labour would be a crime :o Do you have a general time of day you usually start labour mine have all been during the night born early morning.

ginger- glad work is better for you this week your boss sounded like a heartless

Hi bumps hope everything is ok with you.

star- agree with the maclaren, love mine we have a XLR

Hi to any other lurkers

we had a great weekend, tiring but fun. just trying to get through the mountain of washing. Morning sickness hit its peak when we got back, been throwing up all morning :(. Having to force myself to eat just don't fancy anything and can only drink ribena. Not complaining can only be good fingers crossed. next scan in a week. thinking my pre-natals were giving me a dodgy stomach (boots own mum-to-be and pregnancy advanced) anyone had them? thinking of getting some others to try as stopped taking them suggestions anyone?
Luckily DH is off this week so has been sorting out dinner etc and i have been occupying the sofa shouting things at him Blush last night i wanted nice sausages onions in a bun with ketchup but we hadn't got anything, so today he has been shopping and just made it for my lunch :o hoping it stays down.

GingerbreadLatte · 27/10/2011 08:07

Morning all

Smithy- sorry for MS but its good at the same time! I take sanatogen ones- which are ok. When I was preg before my MW suggested taking it just before bed to limit amount of nausea from them. Also not taking them on empty stomach can help. How many weeks are you now?

Diege- are you still hanging on? How is your new hair?

Kayz- spider thing in bed sounds nasty!

Ses- Hi Meant to say - glad your mum was pleased about your news. Had she guessed?

Cant - how are things?

Hi Rugby

Hi everyone else xx

Rugbylovingmum · 27/10/2011 10:05

Morning all,

had an awful night - woke up with pins and needles/cramps in my arms and hands and a dry mouth so got up for a drink which I promptly threw back up Sad. Was up for a couple of hours feeling awful but managed to get some sleep after that. I feel much better this morning but I'm still queasy, luckily I can work from home today Smile.

Whinge over!

Smithy - I'm taking Lloyds pharmacy mum to be vits and they seem okay. I used the sanatogen ones last time and never had any problems. I hope the ms eases off soon (for both of us!). I only want to eat cheese and tomato sandwiches and it has to be on a soft white roll - I have to try to restrict them or I'll be bursting out of my new clothes before I get a chance to wear any of them.

Kayz - urgh to spiders

Diege and Bumps - how are you both? Lurking for news!

Morning Ginger.

hellokittyruleswastink · 27/10/2011 11:15

rugby sorry for bad night !!

hi diege - back monday Grin

took dd1 into town to sort out her glasses kept falling off!!
bought her pink clarkes trainers in sale Grin

watching lots of recorded tv now mum gone Wink

Diege · 27/10/2011 12:06

Hello! Have been awake since 5am with almost constant braxton hicks - not thinking this is labour, but certainly things are gearing up. Perhaps tonight? Am seeing the consultant anyway at 3pm, so I'll be in the right place if things start before then. Having said that, yesterday the labour ward was refusing admissions as they were full, and sending people to a hospital in the next county...
Will update as soon as I have any news.
Pregnancy vits?? Not sure who asked, but my sister was very sick on pregnacare. I've been fine, though always take before bed as I think the iron in them (or is it the folic acid?) can irritate the stomach.
Need to go and sort out last bits into hosp bag. Back soon (I hope!)

Kayzr · 27/10/2011 13:02

Do you have quick labours usually Diege? I don't know how far away the other hospital is but in the next county does seem like its far away. Don't want to scare you but my friend had her baby in a lay by because they shut Malton hospital. Still its a good story [hgrin]

I take the pregnacare ones and I am fine on them. I take them when I go to bed as it's the only time I remember.

I really really want micro chips. I thought cravings didn't start until after 12 weeks for some reason but after a google I found out they can start straight away. It has to be micro chips too, I had normal oven chips last night and it wasn't right.

Hi to everyone, hope you are all well.

SESthebrave · 27/10/2011 13:47

Ooh Diege, exciting!!! Hope whenever it happens, all goes smoothly.

Kayz - with DS I really craved tinned tomatoes! I did mix them with a little pasta and veg but it was the tomatoes I really wanted! So far this time, it's just salty bland carbs but I think that's been to curb the nausea.

Rugby - sorry for rubbish night. Thank goodness you can wfh today.

Smithy - hope your MS improves or at least becomes bearable.

Ginger - mum said she hadn't guessed but she had her suspicions. I was just relieved she was pleased!
How are you? Are you nearing 2ww?

Can't - how's things? Has there been any progress for your DH?

Hello to anyone I've missed. I'm just grabbing some lunch and posting on my phone!

Day of note for us today as it is DH's granny's 96th birthday! She is an amazing lady - still lives in her own home with one of her daughters who is 72yo! She has over 40 grandchildren and great grandchildren but they all get treated like valued individuals. One special lady!

Kayzr · 27/10/2011 16:55

I wonder if Bumps has had her baby??

Diege · 27/10/2011 17:06

Update! Saw the consultant and mentioned I thought things 'might be starting'...He asked if I wanted an examination, as it was 'better to know' Hmm , and he could also do a sweep. Anyway, seems that I am in early labour, 2cm dialted, with waters 'bulging'. I chickened out of the sweep when he told me this, as I'd rather things progress at the normal rate (plus my dates are 5 days behind). He also asked if I wanted my water's breaking, so pretty much leapt off the table...I think I made the right decision though of course am thinking now why didn;t I let him do the sweep?? Confused . Just the examination was very painful though!
Sorry for the self-absorbsion, feeling lots of tightenings and may just be a few hrs until I head back in...Will update before I go!

Kayzr · 27/10/2011 17:08

Wow Diege!! Thats very very exciting.

Kayzr · 27/10/2011 18:08

Ses I am pretty sure the answer is going to be a no but is there anything I can take to help me sleep? I am shattered and had another sleepless night last night and I am so fed up of falling asleep on the sofa when I should really being spending time with the boys.

SESthebrave · 27/10/2011 20:13

Kayz - sorry but you're right. Not much you can use/take. You can try warm milk before bedtime, a relaxing bath or use an oil burner and burn some lavender oil in your bedroom for an hour before bedtime. Not a lot else I'm afraid.

Smithy - on the subject of "drugs", I meant to say the others are right. Try taking them after you've eaten something in the evening. The different makes are all v similar and it is usually the iron that can cause nausea, constipation and upset stomachs.

Diege - I think I'd have said no to sweep, etc too. Sounds like things are progressing nicely on there own Grin Good luck!

I'm not well this evening - stomach upset affecting both ends (sorry if TMI). At first I thought it was MS but seems a bit too suddenly violent for that. I think it may have been the omelette I had at lunchtime. Hoping my system is nearly clear of it now and am sitting in bed in my PJs with the telly on.

Starshinetiger · 27/10/2011 22:26

Ses boo to feeling poorly - hope it passes soon.
Diege ooh, how exciting! Sending positive labour vibes!
Bumps hope no news is good news.
Rugby yay for good shopping - sounds a lovely wardrobe.
Tink hope you enjoyed tv.
Forgotten everything else
Oh, Can't - sorry for awful time your DH is going through - will try to post on your thread tomorrow morning.
Will keep lurking and try to remember more of what I've read next time!

Diege · 28/10/2011 10:45

Just to let you know that contractions have got stronger and they've asked me to come in. Just waiting for parents to arrive, then I'll be off! Will up-date asap xxx

smithylovesme · 28/10/2011 10:46

Good luck Diege and hope baby Diege makes a safe arrival soon. xx
