aternoon all

Just wanted to say hello to smithy.... will be checking in after the school run.

We are all very ill, really nasty colds, coughs and my throat is so sore. Also glands are all up again and all i can take is paracetamol bleugh!!

I am also 37+3 today but unlike deige am still carrying really high and getting most movement in my groin so think this one is still breach.. Will find out tomorrow at scan.

right must put shopping away back later xx

smithylovesme · 17/10/2011 14:15

Just got back, quicky message as have to collect DS.
Everything was in the right place, teeny tiny heartbeat seen, just under 6 weeks so a little under my dates. Need to go back for another scan in two weeks as there was a small bleed seen adjacent to sack, and i have 2 large cysts on my right ovary Hmm So good news on one hand but other things to worry about now but at least they are monitoring me.
Thank you all for thinking of me :o Made me all emotional seeing everyone checking in for me thanks guys means a lot.
Right need to go get the boy will come back later to read through properly and catch up with you all :)

Kayzr · 17/10/2011 14:17

Yay for little heartbeat!!!! Hope the next scan goes well too Grin

GingerbreadLatte · 17/10/2011 15:14

Hi Smithy
Good news that a HB was seen!! Glad they are seeing you again and looking after you. Got everything crossed for you!

x

Diege · 17/10/2011 15:16

Hey that's great news SMITHY Grin. I wouldn't worry too much about the cysts as they are very normal during pregnancy. Good that they're keeping an eye on the bleed area too - might it be an erosion?
BUMPS, good luck for your scan tomorrow. I am also getting most of my movement very low down, though baby is head down so assuming it's hands I'm feeling. Would they suggest an ECV is baby is breech?
KAYZ that must be tough having dp away for so long. My dsis has a dp who's in the army and he's gone for long stretches of time and she does find things stressful at times, though manageable.
Hello SES!
GING, have a curry planned later in the week (not specifically for bringing on labour - veggi bhuna doesn't really cut it for that!) and think I'm good for at least another week Grin

Kayzr · 17/10/2011 15:38

I've started being sick today. Once this morning and then I felt fine. Thought that it had passed and then on the way home from picking DS2 up. Luckily I rushed into the doctors. My MW was just coming out, haven't seen her with this pregnancy yet but had her with DS2. So she drove us home.

My brother has gone to get DS1 from school so I don't risk throwing up on the way there.

How on earth do people cope with this when having to look after other DCs??

hellokittyruleswastink · 17/10/2011 16:14

smithy - fab news Grin

hi bumps poor u will cold etc!!

hi diege Grin

poor you kay!!

smithylovesme · 17/10/2011 18:33

Thanks everyone, feeling slightly more relaxed :)

Kayz- sounds like your having a real rough time with MS, hope you can get some rest and sympathy from others, it really does knock you around. Sorry that DP is leaving for work, is it sooner than expected? Saw your announcement on facebook :)

Tink- DD2 sounds like she is going to have a great birthday :) How is betterware going still getting lots of orders?

Bump- sorry you have a poorly household, hope you will all be well for little ones arrival, good luck with scan tomorrow.

SES- good to see you back, sorry about the facebook stalk was concerned about you being AWOL. Can imagine its hard trying to keep it from work, when will you tell them? Have you told anyone yet? Not long until you get to see bean again :o

Diege- You should be having a madras :o hope the thrush is easing.

Ginger- glad you are feeling better and you were able to go to your funeral. Sorry that AF is on its way but wishing you a healthy month with lots of GOF :) :o :)

Feeling sicky here, but TMI have had really bad diahorrea and stomach cramps past 3 morning so wasn't sure if i had caught something. Scan today made me feel better still kind of feels surreal it was so so tiny on the screen today with a tiny flicker :o she gave me a picture aswell but can't really make out anything Blush I am a little concerned about the bleed as never had that before however have never been scanned this early before. Glad they are keeping an eye on it though. The cysts i know are common in pregnancy and i had them with the miscarriage the nurse seemed a little more concerned with these one was 3mm and the other smaller but again they are monitoring them.
We are not telling anyone until at least after the next scan if not until 12 weeks, however my dad called today when i was in the hospital then again later on and said what were you doing at the hospital? Hmm He was there his wife is really poorly (waiting for a lung transplant) and was rushed in. I said oh i had a check up, don't want to tell him yet as they have enough to worry about without my news.

SESthebrave · 17/10/2011 20:01

Smithy - yay!!! Congratulations on your scan and seeing a hb :)
I'm the same as you in not wanting to tell people until at least after the next scan. The only people that know are my 3 best friends and one of my NCT friends who I guessed had guessed (IYKWIM) and DH told his parents but they're keeping it to themselves for now.
A week tomorrow and I get the next scan Hmm and :)

Kayz - sorry for the MS. I've been feeling pretty much constantly nauseous and struggle to eat but once I start eating, find it helps. How long is DP away for?

Bumps - good luck for scan tomorrow! Hope all the bugs clear up for you.

Diege - I agree, get a stronger curry down you woman! Wink

I am now 8 weeks and exhausted so will head off to bed in a bit.

Hello everyone else - tink, Ginger, Giraffe, Star, Gruff, Rugby and anyone else lurking!

I feel really drained Sad

GingerbreadLatte · 18/10/2011 07:53

Morning

Kayz- how are you feeling. That sounds like that I had. I think Smithy said similiar too yesterday?

Its really really awful so you have my sympathy. Hope doctor helped you.

Morning all

Kayzr · 18/10/2011 08:06

Im feeling really rubbish. My stomach really hurts and I'm struggling to keep any fluids in. I've got to see the doctor at 10.20

GingerbreadLatte · 18/10/2011 08:23

poor you Kayz. are you sick too?

Kayzr · 18/10/2011 08:25

Not since yesterday afternoon. I'm starving but don't think I dare eat anything.

GingerbreadLatte · 18/10/2011 08:36

it could be that you have the bug over the top of the morning sickness. Sad

Hope doctor helps you. I found NHS direct very helpful too.

Diege · 18/10/2011 08:47

Oh dear KAYZ that does sound rough (and very much like a bug on top of the ms). Hoping that you get a decent dr. and start to feel a little better soon. Do you have friends/family close by who could help with the kids? What about x-dp, could he perhaps sort the school run etc for you?
Off for kidney scan this morning, just to confirm things and sort out a plan of action post-birth with the consultant. Bit nervous, but in a way glad that this is happening now and not 3 years down the line after several kidney infections and worry about resulting damage!
Good luck with your scan BUMPS!
Love to all xxx

hellokittyruleswastink · 18/10/2011 08:47

kay - that is what we all had last week
good luck at drs

GingerbreadLatte · 18/10/2011 08:49

good luck at the scan Diege.

Kayzr · 18/10/2011 08:52

My brother has taken DS1 to school this morning. XH didn't answer his phone so guess he's in bed. I would love to be well enough to pick DS1 up later.

Kayzr · 18/10/2011 08:52

Diege and Bumps I hope the scans go well today. Smile

Kayzr · 18/10/2011 11:29

The doctor thinks it's campylobacter. I've got some tablets to try and stop the stomach cramps being so painful and I need to get a stool sample. But of course I dont need the toilet now. [hhmm]

hellokittyruleswastink · 18/10/2011 11:51

good luck with scan diege
and bump

glad u got sorted at drs kay

Rugbylovingmum · 18/10/2011 13:45

Hi all,

Smithy - so glad you saw the hb Grin, that's fantastic!
Diege and Bumps - good luck with scans/appts
Kayz - that's awful, hope the tablets help and you feel better soon
Tink - glad you are getting some betterware orders

Hi to everyone else

sorry I haven't been on much - just soooo tired! I am 8 weeks today (I think) and still feeling exhausted and sick all the time. Can't wait for the end of the first trimester! We've had a lovely weekend visiting both sets of grandparents for DDs 2nd birthday, DD has been totally spoiled and I had managed to catch up on sleep so a success all round Grin.

I had my booking in appt this morning, the new midwife is lovely (although she couldn't take my blood and sent me to Asda of all places to have bloods taken Confused) but I am already starting to worry about the whole VBAC thing. I have to see the consultant at 20 weeks to talk more about my 'birth options' but I have already been told it will be in hospital with continuous monitoring. I can live with having to go into hospital but not the monitoring - last time it was awful having to lie still on my back so I didn't move the bloody sensor thingy. All my pain was in my back and I desperately wanted to kneel up and stretch my back but they wouldn't let me move. If it's going to be like that again I'd rather just go straight for the c-section although I don't know how much of a choice I'll be given. There's really no point worrying until I see the consultant but it's on my mind now - has anyone else had a VBAC and how was it?
