Smithy Yeah we usually get on well. My DP's brother and SIL lost their DS when he was 2 on Xmas Day because of swine flu. Now SIL(to be) is expecting again. Due to give birth in a couple of weeks. I don't mind really but I would expect that she would at least congratulate us.

Does anyone know if primark do maternity clothes? Planning a trip to Leeds soon and thought I'd get some from primark if they do them.

Starshinetiger · 12/10/2011 21:48

Hi All, been lurking on phone, but not posting. Congratulations Kayz - fab news. Going to get my guesses in, as should really be formatting my Uncle's thesis right now for him....

Smithy - congratulations to you too. Hope that you are looking back on this soon and wishing for non-sickness, or that everything turns out alright. My colleague is currently pregnant with DC2 and not been feeling sick at all, whereas she did with DC1.

Rugby - shopping sounds good. Agree, perhaps you could convert your list to maternity clothes. Leggings and dresses sound like good comfy options for the winter. I've found H&M to be good for maternity stuff, but then I don't like to spend a lot on maternity clothes, as I'd rather save the cash for post-maternity spending :)

Giraffe - sorry you're feeling so ill still - hope you are managing to get some rest from work to really recuperate?

Tink - sorry, haven't seen links, but sounds like you've got some good advice from the ladies and I sense your heart is in the Rosebud option?

Diege - yay for beauty treatments. How wonderful! You can now sit back, enjoy your mat leave and bask in your beautiful body Grin

Bumps - hope you are also nearing relaxing stage despite the niggles. All the baby needs are nappies a bed and some clothes - sounds like you've got those covered, so all good for relaxation time (when the DCs allow Grin).

Sorry for anyone I've missed.

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 07:25

Morning!

My SIL to be had her baby last night!!! I'm an auntie again!! She is about 5 weeks early and weighs 6lb 12oz. She's in SCBU but only for observation. Grin

GingerbreadLatte · 13/10/2011 08:49

Congratulations Kayz!! thats lovely news. Sounds like its as well baby was early give the size- full term might have been hooooge!

Star- lovely to hear from you. Thanks for good wishes. How is your work countdown going?

Rugby- i wrote a lovely reply about your clothes yesterday and looking now it didnt post Angry I was saying why not save a bit back from the budget for maternity stuff and see what you fancy buying once you have a bump. I know not all styles of mat clothes suit all. like over an under bump jeans :)

Tink- how is B today? Did you choose which bday gift?

Diege- how are nails and brows? any pics? Hope you are getting ready for a weekend of curries/long walks so you hit my SS date on Monday!

Hi Bumps- glad you got results eventually.

I am still sick. The pain is silly and all night. Going back to docs later, 2nd time this week. I've got to be better as I am going to a funeral tomorrow.I am wondering whether anxiety about that is making it worse....

GingerbreadLatte · 13/10/2011 08:50

Sorry

I had meant to say at the top

*Smithy- how are you feeling about things today?

hellokittyruleswastink · 13/10/2011 09:41

Hi ladies

Kay great news
Bumps poor u
Bracken better today thanku

Haven't decided yet about bday pressy will look
Again nearer the time

Rugbylovingmum · 13/10/2011 09:47

Ginger - poor you Sad, I hope the docs can do something. This has been going on for ages now hasn't it. I don't suppose the anxiety is helping - I hope you feel better for tomorrow.

I will def keep some of my budget back for when I have a bump but I'm really short of stuff to wear so I need to get some bits now. My tummy already feels a bit bloated so maternity jeans are looking good Blush - I'm only about 8 weeks Shock. At night I lie on my side but if I roll over at all and put any pressure on my stomach I wake up feeling uncomfortable and queasy - I'm sure I was much further along last time before I felt like that.

Kayz - congratulations!

Rugbylovingmum · 13/10/2011 09:47

Morning Tink - glad B is better today Smile.

hellokittyruleswastink · 13/10/2011 10:57

hi rugby Grin

thanku

good luck with clothes

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 15:41

I hate morning sickness!!!

GingerbreadLatte · 13/10/2011 15:46

oh no Kayz, is it bad?

Rugbylovingmum · 13/10/2011 15:47

Me too!!! I gave up and brought my work home with me this afternoon so I can at least throw up in the privacy of my own bathroom. I'm cheering myself up by remembering it's a good sign Hmm.

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 15:50

I haven't actually been sick but from about 8 til 2 I felt awful. We went to York and I had to get DP to stop a few times as I thought I was going to be sick. Its not good at all Sad

Rugbylovingmum · 13/10/2011 15:52

Poor you Kayz Sad, I hope it eases up soon. Does having something to snack on help? I find that keeping crackers and grapes handy helps me deal with it most of the time - I just have the odd day where nothing helps.

hellokittyruleswastink · 13/10/2011 15:52

poor you kay!! i never actually had morning sickness

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 15:55

I've been eating those snack a jack things all day. They do work at making me feel a bit better

GingerbreadLatte · 13/10/2011 16:00

poor you rugby

out of interest, with MS, do you feel better once you are sick?

Rugbylovingmum · 13/10/2011 16:11

Giraffe - not really but I've only actually been sick on a couple of days when I have felt very very queasy and sensitive to smells so maybe I just didn't notice the improvement. I feel much better now I'm home - the office is quite hot and the smell of coffee, reheated soup and cheap air freshener does me in Wink.

Diege · 13/10/2011 16:16

Hi! SOrry for the sickness KAYZ Sad If you need any tips etc ask away - I am a ms veteran!
A bit stressed out at the moment. Went in for monitoring this monring as baby had been frantically active all yesterday and last night, and a bit concerned after the dreaded google. Monitoring was actually fine, but they also did a scan where is was discovered that (totally unrelated) one of the kidneys wasn;t functioning as well as the other. Now I have had this with dd1 and d3 so not massively concerned, although this is a little more 'involved' with the collecting system, possibly because baby is a boy. Have scan with consutlant booked in for Tues to discuss managaement after birth. I should have known I wouldn't get through a pregnancy without one 'bad' scan Hmm. Anyway, on the upside, baby is growing well, fluid levels normal, doppler fine, head down (yay!!) with very long thighs Hmm. Est weight at birth 7.5 lbs but she said that could be out by up to a lb and a half. Trying to relax and out things into perspective but I am a worrier Sad

Rugbylovingmum · 13/10/2011 16:22

Oh no Diege! It does sound as though the scan was mostly positive - baby is happy and healthy which is the man thing. What happened with DD1 and DD3? Is this likely to be a long term thing?

largeginandtonic · 13/10/2011 16:24

Oooh Kayz you are KNOCKED UP love! Congratulations Grin

Righto Diege i am guessing 6 days early and 9lb 5oz. The end is pants.

Sorry for dash in and out. I lurk occasionally to make sure you are all ok.

I am the size of a house. GTT tomorrow at 33 weeks. Pointless. I just grow enormo babies.

Mucho kisses to you all Mwah x

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 16:38

Diege, sorry you're having so much stress. I really hope it's all ok. How did you cope with MS? It's quite crazy to think I might feel like this everyday for the next 8-10 weeks or more.

LG&T, how lovely to see you!!! How are you feeling?
