Anybody else out there?????
Very surprised, had only SWI once and I thought we had missed the window of opportunity. It seems not, BFP yesterday, royal wedding treat. EDD about 2nd Jan I think.

#2 for me, keeping fingers tightly crossed as had a bumpy ride before conceiving DS. Very excited and slightly terrified. :)

Welcome buttertart and knittiekitty!

Congrats on your BFP's :)

knittiekitty · 04/05/2011 21:44

Thanks d0gFace, I'm heading to bed early again - am so tired it's ridiculous.

I had to tell my boss because of nature of my job but we're not telling others until after 12 weeks if we can hold out. My boss considers himself 'blessed by not having children' so you can imagine how he has taken my news - shame!

My boobs are undisturbed as yet, no veins or aches but instead I feel constantly car-sick. Yuck. It's my excuse for inhaling ginger biscuits however!

Spagbolagain · 04/05/2011 21:56

Evening all, welcome and congrats to the latest joiners!
No sign yet of this boob ache you are all going on about (or massive boob veins either :o) but a definite icky sicky feel for most of this morning. Not off my food AT ALL though.

I am also waking up at 0615 every morning, 45 mins before I need to, which is a tad annoying. It's because I sooooooooo need a wee by then.

I have told my mum and my boss. I'll tell my sister in a couple of weeks, but nobody else till 12wk scan i think. Am a bit cautious after mmc.

GiraffeAHolic · 04/05/2011 22:24

I may have lost the plot, I've just spent ten minutes cleaning out a mini champneys body wash bottle to take urine specimen in tomorrow Blush I didn't get around to popping in for a proper bottle and can never go when they ask for specimen.

That'll be ok, won't it??

Spagbolagain · 04/05/2011 22:29

As long as it doesn't foam up when you pee in it, should be fine :o

Hello and welcome to knittiekitty and Buttertart and hoping magaddict gets to hang around too :)

I'll update the list in a minute (I'm not obsesses honest!)

I thought I'd share this text I got from DH today:

"When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch her stomach and say "CONGRATS" but none of them comes and touches the man's penis and say "Well done!". Moral of the story: Hard work is never appreciated"

In his dreams is my response! And in any case, I wasn't overly keen on people randomly touching my belly last time round!

Spagbolagain · 04/05/2011 22:42

Eeeeew!! That's gross. :o
Am with you on the unsolicited bump fondling. Well out of order.

Well yes, my DH does have a particularly gross sense of humour Grin

hotcrossSES · 04/05/2011 22:46

Oh and as for telling people, we're not yet due to concern following mmcs too. I feel a bit "naughty" that PILs have arrived for their twice a year visit from Ireland today and we've not said anything.

The only other concern I have is that I've been doing weekly training sessions to try an lose my baby belly / get fit for a new pregnancy and I have my next session tomorrow evening. Do I try and get him to go easy by saying I've got a bad back or something or just tell him the truth or stop being pathetic and just get on with it?!

Spagbolagain · 04/05/2011 22:58

Hmmm I think I would be tempted to tell him. Are there some things you're not advised to do in early PG, crunches and stuff? I think it's ok if it's just aerobic and you are used to it, but I also wouldn't want to risk straining anything. But I don't really know, as a brisk walk is about as much as I generally attempt!

I have a similar situation in that I am supposed to be going for a spa day next week. Am going to have to tell them so they adapt treatments, but feels bizarre sharing something so personal that I haven't even told close family yet!

Hiya.
spagbol I think you should tell trainer and also spa. He'll def adapt your programme for you I suspect and also they prob won't want to do anything more than a manicure or pedicure from what I've read so far. Once we're all (hopefully) thru first trimester then things relax a bit but no massages, reflexology, hot tubs etc I think. Boo hoo. Hth.

Just getting up - managed 9.5hrs sleep and feel soooo much better for it.

fishandlilacs · 05/05/2011 08:10

well hello there all, please may I join you?

Spagbol saw my announcement in chat yesterday and directed me over here. BFP yesterday, edd approx 5 or 6th jan. This is DC2. I am 36-37 in July. DD1 is 3 and will be 4 and 5 mnths when this one puts in an appearance.

Feeling most peculiar about it all. Didn't sleep til 2.30 am this morning, laying there worried sick. I am so scared, thats my overwhelming feeling, I am happy but simply too fecking scared to enjoy it at mo. had such a rough time with DD this is quite alarming.

DH is being a darling and really attentive, bless him. He is quietly over the moon. :) can the fear just go away now so I can get excited please?

Browncoats · 05/05/2011 08:44

fishandlilacs Welcome! I know it's scary when you've been so worried about a pregnancy in the past. My friend who's a midwife just keeps repeating to me "it's a different pregnancy" I think that's going to be my mantra this time around Smile

hotcrossSES I'd tell the trainer if I were you. There are so many things that you shouldn't really do in pregnancy and he'll/she'll be able to adjust your workout for you. If you tell him/her it's bachache, that's a completely different set of adjustments to pregnancy. Good on you for having the energy to keep going to the gym! That's the last thing I'm thinking of doing at the moment. If I get a weird burst of energy I might walk to the shops later Grin

d0gFace · 05/05/2011 11:32

Welcome fishandlilacs,
Congrats and hope you can enjoy it soon. :)

I havent seen the inside of a gym in years Blush

Cba to do anything at the moment. Got a huge pile of washing to sort out and I just want to sit about and sleep.

ShimmeryPixie · 05/05/2011 13:15

hotcrossSES - I'd tell the trainer too. He can then make sure he has worked out a safe exercise routine for you.

fishandlilacs - I'm scared too. My husband has to repeat to me at least once an hour "the vast majority of pregnancies are absolutely fine, stop worrying" or I start to worry/obsess. That's the mantra for us.

Nanny01 · 05/05/2011 15:35

Hi every one I got my BFP can't believe it as we weren't trying for baby no 5. DH has been so sweet and bought me a huge bouquet of flowers. Even though it has been a shock this is a much wanted baby.

fishandlilacs · 05/05/2011 17:03

ugh it would appear morning/afternoon sickness has begun already. I have just had my head down the loo at the whiff of the recycling bin.

To top it off DD was doing some painting at her easel-normnally the very messiest she gets is mucky hands and mucky top-I came back down to find her covered in pale blue paint-delighted with herself for mixing pale blue and it all over the floor and the windows of the conservatory. Thankfully tiled floor so no permanent harm done, but I just cant face it now. too busy trying to stop being sick!

Mama5isalive · 05/05/2011 17:53

Hi all - i was just thinking am i the only one with over 2 children then right on time Nanny01 appears so yehhhhhhhhhh welcome and congrats!!!!!!!!
i have no preg issues apart from the wonderful smelling abilties!!!!!!!!!!
so whilst at work and office all are loving their lunches i just felt so ill and had to fight to keep my water, yes my water down. my DS 16 months now - brought with him while me being pregnant SPD and so im dreading and holding off all thoughts of being pregnant right now, 8 seater car/bus needed oh boy!!!!!!! also my DS was aweek early and so not even thinking i will make it into jan hopefully more like december, but only time will tell! this pregnancy is still my lil secret so am trying to act and behave like normal, well as normal as i can be with the 5 kids!( i feel like the waltons)

" so was'nt trying, i was denying,2lines, i started crying" my lil poem!Grin

shonnomanom · 05/05/2011 18:54

Hi,
And hello/congrats/good luck newbies!

Iv finished some meals today! wahey!
Although, on the other hand I feel like im about to get my period. Horrible cramps. Sad The only good thing about it is knowing that there will be no more of them this year!! Grin Grin

Made plans today with my mum and 6months pregnant sis-inlaw to go pram shopping on Saturday. Going to have to work on poker face incase I see a pram for my 002(the secret agent in my belly).

Must resist urge to tell everyone!! Finding it very difficult, especially with my mum. July seems sooo far away doesnt it...

Sho x

TandB · 05/05/2011 20:23

I'm quite crampy today as well. I don't remember having cramps with DS1 - but then again I didn't know I was pregnant until 7 weeks so I wouldn't necessarily remember.

I think I got a whiff of nausea today as well. Really hoping to avoid morning sickness this time as I lost 13 lbs in the first few weeks last time round through not being able to eat anything but celery.

bustersgirl · 05/05/2011 20:41

Hi can i join... I got a BFP on tuesday Due date should be 12 jan.

I had a MC in September last year and 1 in january. At the mo i have DD11, DS 8, DS 6, DS 4 and DS 2.

summerfruitsalad · 05/05/2011 21:32

Evening all! Congrats to all the newbies and Ses, ta for the list!

kungfu I've been crampy today too, felt like dull period pains but didn't last long, think it is quite normal. I still keep checking my pants like a crazy person, like its not quite real! Otherwise feel mostly normal, just a bit tired.

Have so far told my best friend who is also pregnant, due in June and we told hubby's parents last night, all very excited!
