Hi everyone,
Regularly reading just not posting much!
Don't have much to say, other than I really need to get my bikini line waxed, but can't quite face it - why oh why do we need hair down there?

I am dreading having to go in for an examination early for some reason and still not have gotten around to it...oh well I'm sure doubtful I'll get round to it soon!

Completely off sex too, my poor DP, I think we have done it about 4 times since I've been pregnant, just got no inclination despite usually being quite up for it! I really should make more of effort.

So there you go, aren't you glad i came on and posted about pubic hair and sex!?

Perhaps I shouldn't post this.....Hmm Hmm Meh, what the hell.....

jasmine51 · 19/03/2011 12:17

Is anyone else feeling sick again? Just me? normal or mini egg related?

NurseSunshine · 19/03/2011 14:13

TTL yup I'm nomming on milk and love hearts until I can get to the docs :)

Clarkiee that clip is HILARIOUS!!

Misshoohaa, I'm not sure that anyone needs to get rid of the lady garden but each to their own. I used to use hair removal cream but frankly it feels a little too dangerous when I can't see the area in question! I may become disgusted with my lack of effort in a month or so and rig up a system of mirrors but I kind of doubt I'll have the energy Blush

Jamsine, Sorry you're feeling sicky. I'm not personally. Maybe try sticking to bland foods, toast, porridge etc for a day or so and see if it helps.

Am going to make a lemon drizzle cake today :)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 19/03/2011 14:57

Jasmine - not so much feeling sicky but definitely sensitive, sometimes something (such as DS's poo!) sets me off. Plus have had a chesty cough again (though better now) and sometimes bringing up phlegm makes me gag as well. It is not pleasant.
I do remember an ex-xolleague of mine telling me his wife suffered M/S through all of her 2 pregnancies Shock Incidentally - both boys!

Still feeling very tired and achy with niggling headache. Feel very pathetic for feeling this way at only 28+4!! Seeing the MW on Tuesday so will mention it to her then but it is probably just me being a bit crap! No swelling or any other dodgy symptons so don't think there is anything wrong.

Have had a seriously crappy nights sleep, can't sleeo on back or front but sleeping on my side is making my hips ache! Any tips?

Clarkiee · 19/03/2011 15:10

Thanks for kind words again girls Grin

Had the injection in the other bum cheek today- lovely Blush. A girl who was the other side of the curtain was having contractions and breathing gas and air- did not sound good Shock.

I'm 29 weeks today Fanjo I hope I'll be able to get into the early 30's- fingers and legs crossed. Sorry if I caused a random dream Grin

Thanks for reminding me about the bush misshoo can't see it very well so forget that its growing! I've been told not to have sex now because I am at risk of early labour and it might bring it on. Maybe if you're not in the mood you could mention 'early labour' to your other halves (although I don't think it would actually be a problem for a while yet).

Sorry to hear about sickness jasmine I've not had sickness as such just really bad constant heartburn for the last 24 hours bluergh!

Went to NCT sale it wasn't a partuicularly big one but luck had it one of the sellers must have had twin girls (and expensive taste in clothes). Got four Jasper Conran coats (two matching 0-3 and two matching 3-6). Two sets of two baby suits from Next and two matching little summer dress from 'butterfly- matthew willimson (or whatever he's called). All in fab condition and all for around £40 Grin feeling very satisfied. Think I might join the NCT though so I can get in there even earlier next time!

takethatlady · 19/03/2011 15:17

Oooh good purchases clarkiee, we're going to an NCT sale next week.

Just been to BabiesRUs and they have a 25% off sale on lots of buggies/prams/car seats. They had a Quinny Zapp Xtra in there plus a Maxi Cosi car seat, with which it is compatible, for £300. Seemed like a good deal. The Quinny Buzz also had £100 off.

Anyone got any opinions on either of these?

Sorry for those of you who are now overdosing on Mini Eggs Grin ... I don't think I can get enough of them but I might graduate to Creme Eggs but two years ago I did a Creme Egg challenge with DH's entire family. I ate 9 Creme Eggs in one sitting and only came fourth out of seven - the winner ate 16 in one go.

I've only had one Creme Egg since Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 19/03/2011 15:39

Clarkiee - sounds like you did well at the sale!

TTL - Shock @ all the creme egg eating! I like creme eggs but I don't think I could manage more than about 3!!

Mummynumber2 · 19/03/2011 15:47

Jasmine I'm really with you with the sickness. Tbh it never really went away but I've had a really bad week. I read somewhere a while ago that it's relatively common for ms to be a bit worse in 3rd trimester than 2nd, if you get it the whole way through. I can't remember if you've had bad ms. I've been very lucky in not getting heartburn/ constipation at all though.

Thanks for reassuring me that it's not me not being able to count nurse and clarkiee. Luckily this midwife will be nowhere bear me during the birth!

jasmine51 · 19/03/2011 16:06

kara re aching hips - the things that have worked for me - pillow between the legs to keep the hips level and pillows in front and behind body to stop spinal twisting during the night. I did notice how much worse they were during the time I was sleeping on a hard mattress too so I slept on a duvet as well as under a duvet. Last thing is to do some leg raises whilst on your side but make sure your core muscles are engaged when you do it, makes a huge difference to how effective the exercise is.

mummy my ms was never bad, just 'there' and it coming back has been a bit of a surprise. I'm quite bloated atm for no real reason, I havent been eating beans or anything...but the most telling sign that it is ms is that I cant contemplate eating salads or veggies again...I'd being doing quite well on that front up til now. Really hoping this is just a blip as I cant bear the thought of another 3 mths of that.

Clarkiee blimey girl, where do you live to have all that designer baby stuff around? Chelsea? Good result...mine will be in handmedown bin bags and like it!

Clarkiee · 19/03/2011 16:33

Yeah thought I'd be getting general baby items rather than clothes but pleased with the purchases.
jasmine sale was about 7/8 miles away from my house in a place called Walkden part of Salford- defo not posh lol. Thinking the seller was a designer at debenhams fan.

Been lying in bed watching my guilty pleasure tv 'take me out' No likey, no lighty' Biscuit Grin

All this talk of mini eggs is giving me ideas about sending DH out to the corner shop. I like sucking them though and my tongue gets a bit rough Confused. ttl that sounds like enough creme eggs in one go to put anyone off for life!!! Shock

Just need my footie team to start winning now and I'll have had had a good day (bar letting MW stick things in my bum) Grin

OP posts:
NurseSunshine · 19/03/2011 16:33

LOL @ handmedown bin bags Jasmine! I've got almost all my clothes and things from ebay/charity shops Grin Hope XP apreciates how thrifty I am, and that I'm not one of those girls who "has" to have everything brand new and the more expensive the better. Doubt it though Hmm

NurseSunshine · 19/03/2011 16:35

TTL that is too many creme eggs woman! Just. Too. Many.

Clarkiee, yes do be careful about letting people stick things in your bum. At least be sure she's a qualified MW Grin

Clarkiee · 19/03/2011 16:36

Best thing about getting second hand baby things- especially clothes is that you know that they can have hardly been worn anyway cause babies grow so quickly. Hmm hope XP realises how thrifty you are nurse

OP posts:
takethatlady · 19/03/2011 17:02

Ooh nurse I didn't think about ebay for clothes buying ... been waiting for the NCT sale but you've just given me a much more immediate outlet for my need to buy (and buy thriftily)!

The worst thing about eating so many Creme Eggs is that after a while they get really thick and stuck in your mouth, so you feel they've just melted and stuck everywhere and that you haven't swallowed the last one before you start the next Grin

Reviews of the Quinny Zapp Xtra seem good, but now I'm getting tempted by the MacLaren Techno XLR ...

neenewps · 19/03/2011 17:13

Great purchases Clarkie. I am hoping to get to a sale next week. I actually volunteer for NCT but my branch is having the sale on a weekend that I'm in Oxfordshire - booooo!!

Good efforts on the Mini eggs Jasmine...a friend of mine posted on facebook that Harvester are doing a mini egg sundae!!!

I have a patch on my tummy and also my boob. Looked it up and it appears to be something called PUPPP! Anyone else got this? It's very strange but goes after pregnancy apparently?!

Nurse .. Very jealous of your baking. My DH has banned me from baking as he is on a fitness drive. If I bake anything I will be forced to eat it all myself.... hmmmm maybe I should bake something :o

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

jasmine51 · 19/03/2011 17:21

TTL Ebay is so cool for baby clothes - look for the 'assorted clothes' packages - I got a fabulous selection of Next stuff in a box for £5 - sleep suits, vest things, couple of jackets, a gro bag, mitts...lots of stuff all in neutral colours too.

Still feeling sick...and havent had a mini egg all day. Might be the thought of creme eggs thats doing it...even that would be beyond me.

I'm desperate to tell you all what a lady in my yoga group has called her new DS...but I'm worried she might be on here somewhere. I'll just say that I thought she was winding me up...and seeing as she isnt, her choices are bordering on child abuse...but of course I complimented her on such 'unusual' choices like a good girl!

NurseSunshine · 19/03/2011 17:27

Ooooh tell us Jasmine, she won't know it's you Grin

TTL ebay is amazing! I've got so many lovely things for next to nothing and as Clarkiee pointed out, they've only been worn a couple of times as babies just grow out of them so fast. I search "baby girl clothes bundle" or similar. Have got loads of things for about 50p Grin

neenewps · 19/03/2011 17:28

Gosh I really want to know now Jasmine. Someone at a group I go to told me how their friend works for a department that is connected with the child trust funds. Someone sent in their details and their twins were called Dolce & Gabbaba :o

neenewps · 19/03/2011 17:29

Gabbana even!!

NurseSunshine · 19/03/2011 17:39

Slightly better than Fish and Chips Grin

neenewps · 19/03/2011 17:45

Hehe nurse

I have now looked at eBay - damn you ladies Wink

mouffloncake · 19/03/2011 19:00

Hi all :)

Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts yesterday. The funeral sounded beautiful, right up Rosie's street what with it being all eco. They choose a wicker casket & had rosed cascading over it. They recorded the readings & poems & also gave everybody a cd of her singing (she wrote music) so will get to have a listen.

jasmine I have been feeling sicky of late but am putting it down to the naughties I have been enoying altho the other morning, my museli made a random reappearance Confused

Nurse LOVE Ebay!
Nursery theme, going for lemon & have the Mama's & Papa's Zeddy & Parsnip range (c/o ebay - 3/4 of the price). Also did well with moses basket & rocking stand, new, 99p!!

NurseSunshine · 19/03/2011 19:35

I've decided not to decorate until she's here, just in case she turns out to be a he! She'll be in my room for the first 6 months or so anyway so plenty of time to air out the paint fumes!

Wow 99p moufflon! What a bargain! Love Zeddy and Parsnip, so cute :)

Have just found out that my brother's partner is 7 weeks pregnant!

NurseSunshine · 19/03/2011 19:44

Question for you all: Grobags or blankets?

My mum says blankets as they can't kick grobags off it they get too hot, but if they're all swaddled and tucked in then they wouldn't be able to anyway would they? Which are you going for?

sasamaxx · 19/03/2011 20:05

Arrrgghhhhhh hopelessly behind as usual.
Hope everyone is good - I'm fine. Waiting for appt with physio for the old pelvis and have a really fat face now, but plodding on - only 11 weeks to go.

nursesunshine I prefer blankets but that's probably because babies end up in my bed anyway, and grobag is too hot for that Smile
