Morning,

I seem to be eating EVERYTHING that is in my eyeline!

I am eating like such a pig! Grin

Bumpsadaisie · 25/02/2011 09:49

Morning all.

Bleughh I've felt appalling this morning. Nauseous and was much closer to being sick. Think I will def be sick in the next few days.

Also have rotten cold and sore throat as does poor DD.

However, now we are up, washed, dressed and eating breakfast am feeling a bit more chipper esp as my mother is coming round later to drive me to my midwife appointment rather than me and DD having to walk 3 miles there and back in the Cumbrian rain!

Onwards and upwards. It will all be over soon. March is just going to be a period of penury which has to be endured!

Energy and strong stomachs to you all!

Bumps x

apples82 · 25/02/2011 09:59

Good luck bumps, hope you feel better! Smile

Fleecy · 25/02/2011 10:18

Feeling bleurgh here today too but finding it oddly reassuring as I felt fine all day yesterday. Think I probably wore myself out and am paying the price today Grin

Busy one though - am helping out at a children's party to raise funds for the DC's playschool so will be assisting with 72 2-6 year olds and feeding their parents tea and cake all afternoon followed by an evening at SIL's tonight where she's doing (well-cooked) scallops and duck for us. Am looking forward to it but oh my, when can I fit a nap in?!

Fleecy · 25/02/2011 10:18

Oh yes - went to pick up my pregnancy pack from the Drs yesterday so I can fill in the forms ready for my first midwife appointment on Monday. I was very excited!

dannid · 25/02/2011 11:45

Hi everyone. Just got my BFP last sunday and according to my GP EDD is 30/10/11! Very excited! I have been having terrible cramps but having read through your posts it seems that this is quite normal (dont remember getting this with DS1)! phew! Also suffering with bad constipation to tho so cramps are likely related to that too!

Told our parents in the last couple of days and both were very pleased...they both knew that we were TTC so didn't come as much of a surprise to them. Have also told my BF but other than that am going to try to keep it to ourselves JIC.

Was late with DS1 so am guessing that there is a strong chance that I could be the last to pop considering my EDD! Great to have somewhere to come and chat with other MTB!! Smile

OADCB · 25/02/2011 12:01

welcome to the newbies :)

seasaltbaby · 25/02/2011 13:15

Hi everyone, just hopping over from part 1....
Well I'm only 5 weeks today and god its going slow....
Still no major symptoms either, which I know is a good thing but part of me wants to 'feel' pregnant if that makes sense. I'm sure I'll regret saying this if I'm puking up every morning so best make most if it!
Hope everyone else is doing ok :)

emmazed · 25/02/2011 13:47

welcome & congrats to the newbies!

silly question, but how do you now if you have a bump or belly? is it totally too early? where would it be and what would it look like as and when you do start to show.

i am not sure if i can see anything, or it is just all the extra food i am eating!

EdwardorEricCantdecide · 25/02/2011 13:53

stephssjr · 25/02/2011 13:56

I'd like to join too please! I'm pregnant Grin with my first due 29th of Oct and loving the joys of morning sickness!Hmm

LittlePebble · 25/02/2011 14:28

Hello to all the newbies - wow there's going to be lots of lovely babies in October Grin

After four days of feeling utterly disgusting I finally feel a little bit better today (my wonderful mother has baked my some home made ginger biscuits that I wish I could share with all of you) and also bought me some after eights to satisfy my peppermint cream obsession (is that just me?)

Obviously can't eat peppermint creams as they are made with raw egg Sad

apples82 · 25/02/2011 14:45

Oh LittlePebble, share out those ginger biscuits!!! Grin

LittlePebble · 25/02/2011 14:49

I'm going to have to ask for the recipe - ginger nuts have made me feel more sick but these are GOOOOOOODD (greedy smile and fat tummy)

Peace35 · 25/02/2011 15:27

I am 4+7 and still finding it hard to believe that it is real! When did people's ms begin?

dribbleface · 25/02/2011 16:20

HI all,

Will catch up later today/tomorrow so quick post.

Have had to start wearing maternity trousers - 8+5! Started wearing them at 10 weeks with DS so guess thats about right. To be fair I can still just fit in my trousers but they are so uncomfortable. Could buy the next size up but don't want to waste money so into mat clothes i go! I have quite an obvious bump, but again did with Ds.

Bumpsadaisie · 25/02/2011 16:49

Hello all the newbies - welcome to the madness!

Just saw midwife - first scan is on 1st April, five weeks today. Roll on ...

monkeybubbles · 25/02/2011 18:37

hello new bfps :)

october must be a very popular month to have babies!

my plan for the weekend is to go through my wardrobe. it's not that things aren't fitting, it's just that they're all uncomfortable. i feel like i have a uniform to work everyday, leggings and a baggy dress. it's boring but it seems to work, so i may as well move everything else to the back!

has anyone found anything else that is equally as comfortable? jeans are definitely out of the question!

elgoldenflower · 25/02/2011 19:16

I'm in leggings too, can wear my slightly too big jeans but uncomfy by the end of the day. Jersey dresses are nice over leggings, hug my figure so don't feel too frumpy, but also show off my bloat bump which I'm not too keen on yet what with trying to keep it a bit secret.

emmazed it's my first and I had a bit of a belly before but it's tripled in size and I'm only 5+2 (gone up 2 notches in my belt). It's mostly bloated with water I think as I'm drinking more and not eating much more than usual. Feel like buying maternity clothes already but don't want to jinx anything. I like that I can have a bloaty bump to remind me it's all real, it felt slightly smaller this morning and I panicked a bit but it's back to it's huge self now.

Bluetinkerbell · 25/02/2011 19:52

I'm so glad I didn't have money last month to spend on new trousers... ;)
I have problems in the evening as well, need to undo my button while sitting on the sofa...
will probably start wearing my maternity trousers in a few weeks time...
but will need to buy some wider t-shirts or dresses to go with that... ah well something to look forward too ;)

Tamashii · 25/02/2011 19:59

Hi to all the new BFPs!!! Congratulations.

Is October the busiest baby bus???? It is soooooooo packed now.

Talking about bumps, I know I am really bloated but with DS I remember the bump started as a hard area below the pubic bone that gradually spread up past the bone and into very low abdomen. It was really solid at first and then once your uterus is pushed up above the bone, you seem to pop a little bit but I think bumps at this stage are more the bloatedness and thickening waistline. Just my opinion really but I do remember being disappointed that the actual bump takes a while to show and I just felt and looked like I had eaten too many pies at first. My lovely brother was one of the first to point out I was "getting fat" Angry

Morning Sickness had got a whole lote better (hopefully not tempting fate) now at week 9. I started getting actual being sick rather than nausea at around week 7-8, it was really intense for a few days then seemed to ease back down to nausea over the last couple of days or so. I think first PG my morning sickness passed by 12 weeks then nausea lasted to about 15 weeks :( but it was a lot more bearable. Maybe because we got to tell everyone about being PG by then so you could actually talk about it in RL rather than making up excuses and having to pretend to be ok!!!

Anyways, happy Friday night to the busy October bus babies!!! :D

kateepie2 · 25/02/2011 21:41

Good evening ladies!

I went shopping for maternity clothes today - not quite 7 weeks but all my trousers are so uncomfortable, leggings and dress seem to work ok, but tights make me cramp. I really struggled though, the bigger shops are rubbish for mat. clothes - M&S had bras, but nothing else (got properly measured today, have gone up a whole size and cup size), nothing in John Lewis or TK Maxx and these are huge shops, its ridiculous!

I have a very definite bloat 'bump' and if anything presses on it I just feel v. sick. Speaking off which, I woke up from a very vivid dream where I felt my tummy was being wrenched by a big ribbon Hmm and nearly puked... this after no ms for nearly a week, so was a rather rude awakening.

Anyway, enough rambling! Grin
