Finally can post. Had scan on Thursday and baby all ok, been so stressing about it and so relieved. Edd now 22nd tho confused me as crl was 7cm which I thought meant further on. Anyway nt was 2.7 don't know if that good or not. Was so cute and amazing to see. Dp missed this scan with ds2 so he was so excited.

Still got tiredness, nausea, food aversion and smell aversion (smell of peas make me want to heave).

Re breastfeeding, ds2 still has nurse at bedtime and occassional morning. I'm very sore and red on nipples and been using lasinoh and sudocrem. Think sore because of hormones and lack of milk. I wouldn't mind weaning but prefer to as ds gives up. I'm not sure he'll keep it up through pregnancy as he's 3 years now. Never imagined I'd nurse him so long but feels natural as led by him.

How's everyone doing? Good weekends? I got old maternity clothes washed and ironed now and told everyone our news and facebooked scan pic x

MamaMaiasaura · 16/04/2011 15:48

And I had parvovirus test and I'm immune :) phew x

Great news about scan results! So happy our baby bus is growing :)

BTW Awen I am also confused by measurements our bean's CRL was 6.74cm and she said I am 13weeks (I thought I was 12+1 by period dates) also googled it and there is a discrepancy - on babycentre.co.uk it was 6.7 for 13 weeks so spot on :) but on other sites it was more like 8 cm - honestly I would worry too much and scans can be off by a few days where 1-2 cm of growth can happen so unless it's a huge difference I wouldn't read into it.
I read that anything under 3 for nt is good so you are fine! Congrats!

monkey congrats on the scan too, we're keeping it off FB for now but sent an email to close friends who live abroad and it was a really funny one with a very misleading title and I think they really like it - the overwhelming response was so nice I am actually looking forward to telling people!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Beesok · 16/04/2011 17:09

Awen I meant wouldn't worry too much ;))))

MamaMaiasaura · 16/04/2011 19:29

Beesock ;) baby brain. The computer was down so they worked it out manually but got print out posted and the crl was changed to 6.74 so works out I thnk. It'll come when ready anyway.

Talking of baby brain I think I got speeding ticket heading my way after completely forgetting I was in a 50 not 60 duh. Wondered why I was overtaking everyone. Oops.

Getting exciting now as feel pregnant. Need to add myself into stats but can't copy and past on iPhone. Could someone link me in to stats page pls xx

Beesok · 16/04/2011 21:24

Awen yours has the same CRL as mine! hahahaha an they're telling me I'm 13 weeks! so EDD 17th Oct! (I am happy because it means I can leave a week earlier for maternity leave :)

MamaMaiasaura · 16/04/2011 21:39

Haha I just re read your post and saw that! I'm gonna nag my midwife as they messed around with ds2 dates and when he tried to come at 36 weeks they gave me all injections and when I finally had him at 39 weeks the placenta had started to calcify and he wasn't breathing apgar 1 out of 5. Thankfully he resussed on oxygen but can't help wondering if he needed to come sooner. I'm thinking way too much and I need to stop :) and baby will come when ready I'm sure. Hope it's in the October half term break tho kids off school.

Anyone else continually looking at pregnancy sites etc? I'm obsessed!! Been ttc this one for 2 years and started to wonder if it was ever gonna happen x

drivencrazy · 17/04/2011 09:01

Awen i keep looking at pregnancy sites and at name books Blush
Im finding ime going soooo slowly still got to wait another few days for my 12 weekish scan. I know its ok but just want to see it again and get a proper due date hope it doesnt change too much. They gave me just under 2 weeks later when i had a scan at 7 weeks which made edd in November Sad.

dannid · 17/04/2011 16:46

Hello all. So glad all the scans have been going well! Haven't got mine till tues, am very excited but also very nervous, just praying everything is ok after the problems at the beginning! Been on a hen weekend this weekend in Newquay, which has been an interesting time, considering I can't join in with the drinking! Am surprised to say I'm not missing it at all! Well, wish me luck for tues, will let u know how we get on. Xxx

MrsHende · 17/04/2011 20:34

Lovely to read all the good scan stories, good luck to all who still have to have theirs!

We had ours on Wednesday, all is well (and not twins as we had been thinking!). EDD is now 29th October so I''m still hanging onto this bus by my fingernails!

I have two questions! Should we be wearing underwired bras? If not, why not?

Also, when do first timers usually begin to show? I've lost a bit of weight this first trimester (the joys of horrendous morning sickness) and jeans and trousers are still a little baggy but I'm wondering when this will end?

I'm a teacher and go back to work tomorrow for the summer term. Am I being hopeful to think that I may get through the next ten weeks till the summer without having to buy any new work clothes? It'll be so annoying to have to buy stuff then only wear it for a couple of weeks!! I'm guessing that I'll be so much bigger when I go back after to summer that it'll be a whole new set of work clothes for those few weeks too!!

Thanks in advance!

PenguinArmy · 17/04/2011 21:21

underwire bra's. If they not uncomfortable for you, stick with.

It's normal not to show until 4/5 months and even then you notice more than others. Took me a while to get over the 'a little chubby' phase. A lot of summer stuff is quite loose, so maybe one or two basic trousers should see you through. I still wore normal dresses until 8 months.

I got myself worrying about stretchmarks now. I only got a few last time, so have convinced myself I could get loads this time. [vain]

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 18/04/2011 00:14

Hi all
With my first I didn't show till 5months but I found that a couple pairs of basic mat trousers, and empire style tops is fine I only had 1 maternity top last time. I do need the maternity trousers earlier this time but more for comfort than fit.

AFAIK your not meant to wear underwires so u dont get blocked milk ducts, I ignored this advice first time round and had no problems.

SconesForTea · 18/04/2011 09:17

I wore underwired bras throughout my pg last time and didn't have any problems. My boobs didn't really get too much bigger though until my milk came in.

Also I started showing last time about 18w, by the time I was 6 months pg I looked full term and had lots of "are you sure you're not having twins". There is no way I'd have coped without proper maternity clothes. This time... my sister admitted yesterday I look 5 or 6 months pg already; I'm 13 weeks. I am rather stunned at how bump has popped out in the last few days. I'm thinking it must be psychosomatic...? Since having the scan on Thurs and accepting that yes, I'm pg, bump has just ballooned. It is embarrassing. It is a proper bump too that comes out from my bust. Really wierd.

It is starting to get painful on one side feeding DD. But she was gulping away this morning so there's still milk for the time being Smile

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 18/04/2011 10:52

what does psychosomatic mean?
[really thick emoticon]

i love learning new words (bit sad i know)

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 18/04/2011 10:55

have just loooked it up, Grin

elgoldenflower · 18/04/2011 13:24

Ah just had my first scan and it was wonderful! Baby wriggling away and waving at us. Such a relief after all the recent anxiety, I'm determined to just enjoy this now!

Also EDD back to 28th October now.

Fingers crossed for those still waiting for scans.

elgoldenflower · 18/04/2011 13:30

Also I see we're nearly at 1000 messages, if memory serves we can't go past that so started a new thread for this busy bus here

Hope that's ok with everyone Smile
