MrsSnaplegs · 03/12/2010 11:18

Hi owo 39+ 4 today

Wholelottalove · 03/12/2010 11:19

Hi all, thanks for thread OWO 38 weeks today :)

laurenamium · 03/12/2010 11:22

Hey all 40 + 2 here today too and still no sign of an arrival!

A sewage pipe burst outside our house last night and within minutes there was a sewage fountain and a flood across the whole street!it took 3 hours before Northumbrian water sorted it and now the street stinks!apparently they are sending someone today to clean it up!

aimee0211 · 03/12/2010 11:33

Hey everyone 40+1 and am rethinking my idea that it would be fine for this baby to be two weeks late...

Have started on the raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil and bouncing on the gym ball. Off to find some spicey food :o

Congrats to Chooster, my due date buddy, very happy for you but extremely Envy that Jude made his grand entrance on time.

Lavitabellissima · 03/12/2010 12:05

My two are 4 weeks old already although still not due until the 13th December!

Chooster how are you getting on? & PJen? We should start a postnatal thread soon [Smile]

Where's Strix, haven't heard from her in a while?

GreenGeekGirl · 03/12/2010 12:07

Thanks for the new thread OWO :)

38+5, still working and so much to do before the grand entrance that I'm sort of hoping it's not before EDD! Xmas Biscuit

MrsSnaplegs · 03/12/2010 12:18

Just back from MW appt looks like it will be this weekend - had a show about an hour ago head 2/5 palpable so 3/5 engaged. Had a definate shift of position yesterday and very restless night last night.
Will keep you informed !

OnlyWantsOne · 03/12/2010 12:24

Ooo MrsS that's good news :)

OP posts:
Miffster · 03/12/2010 12:42

Good work on the new thread OWO. Good luck Mrs Snaplegs and everyone else who thinks it might be time...

38 weeks and 3 days over here, according to the NHS...

What are everyone's plans for the weekend?
(apart from possibly having babies)

And what symptoms/twinges/feelings/sensations are we all exhibiting - shall we compare and contrast, the good, the bad - and the TMI?

Miffster · 03/12/2010 12:43

Lauranamium - eeewwww, stinky. Xmas Shock

Wholelottalove · 03/12/2010 12:54

Miffster I've got a TMI for you - definite increase in discharge, to point where was wondering if might be part of my plug today. Other than that, having a few more braxton hicks, bit painful at times, and quite a bit of pressure at times on back and in pelvis. I am up and down, had really restless night last night and grumpy today. DD is asleep and got friend popping over this afternoon though so that should cheer me up.

No plans for weekend as DH working tomorrow, other than seeing his Dad Sunday.

OWO bet you can't eat 3. Have you tried loads of sex? Not sure whether sex or a whole pineapple is the grimmer thought at this stage.

Ooh, is MrsS next?

laziness · 03/12/2010 13:21

hey all
thanks for the new thread OWO
and best of luck MrsS :)
I'm 37+1 today and wondering how long it would be till the Big Day
for the weekend..well we need to do extensive cleaning of the house..as in DH needs to do it..i will of course relax Grin
so nothing too exciting to look forward to...

and well still haven't been able to finalise the bedding for the cot..anyone knows any good place apart from:
mothercare, boots, mamasandpapas, kiddicare(website), Asda?

i have seen all these..and didn't like anything much :(

Pitterpatter2 · 03/12/2010 13:43

Jasmine is due on Boxing Day but I don't think I am going to last that long. Grin

Luckily it is only a mile to the hospital and it is flatish all the way so the snow it not too much of a problem.

Jasmine is a miracle baby becauase I have been married 8 years and was told before the marriage that I could never have children due to blocked and damaged tubes. So no contraception for all our married life.

laziness · 03/12/2010 13:46

wow amazing! it's truly a miracle :)
All the best to you Pitterpatter2
May you little bundle of joy bring you all the happiness in the world :)

emmaxmas · 03/12/2010 13:49

Thanks for the new thread OWO

Hope you're okay MrsS- sounds like you could be next! How exciting!

Sympathies to all of you who are past due date and patiently waiting.......

36+6 here today. Baby definitely dropped last night as I feel soooooooooooo much less constricted in my chest area today and can bend down far easier. 2 weeks of work to go..... just need to hold on until after that!

Hope everyone's keeping warm. Our street is super icy today- very worried about slipping.

Big wave to everyone Smile

CherylAnnTweedy · 03/12/2010 14:07

Pitterpatter what a lovely surprise for you both. Smile

Ooh MrsSL good luck if things do start happening this weekend.

'Symptoms'/feelings etc here - baby 3/5 engaged (been that far down for over a week though), quite a few contractions, although they've slowed down a fair bit this last week. I have no 'feeling' that anything is going to happen. My feeling earlier int he week was that one day we'd have snow, boys would be off school and I'd go into labour, but as nothing happened yesterday I was wrong! I'm getting a lot of pressure in my back passage, and babys head is making certain positions (sitting being one of the main ones), walking and getting up quite difficult.

Unfortunately I can't stand pineapple or hot food, babys head is also making sex utterly impossible so boiuncing on ball, on hands and knees and walking about as much as poss are my getting baby moving options.

MrsSnaplegs · 03/12/2010 14:09

My bag packed and checked

MW gave us emergency supplies of gloves, pads etc in case we end up delivering here and although local MLU officially shut she has said 2 MW there 8-8 in week if it's today!

No contractions or anything so just going to go with the flow!!
Getting jobs done then will put my feet up later!
