I saw my dr yesterday but it was about being ill not pg although for meds etc I did tell her about it. She was lovely and made me an appt with her for a couple of weeks time when I 'felt more human'. The problem is, having been so ill the last couple of weeks I can see myself recovering from this only to have ms kick in :( I won't know when being ill ends and being pg starts!

ohanotherone · 07/12/2010 14:35

Love the dream, Impatient cat. How exciting, there are laods of us now!!!!

RunDMC · 07/12/2010 15:47

loving the dream cat- brilliant ! and feeling your pain re the tube. used to work in London many moons ago and developed a hatred for it, never mind being pg.

Actually vomited today but that was due to walking past a dog poo bin that despite 2 feet of snow, was reeking. Was glad no one saw me and there was a pile of snow to barf into.

Actually could be sick with the idea of a bad smell. Argh..

dundeemarmalade · 07/12/2010 15:57

Hello. Can I come and play? BFP at weekend after about four months of ttc. Hurray. Now all I have to do is work out how to entertain my lovely dd (3 after xmas) without having to move or think too much...

ImpatientCat · 07/12/2010 16:20

Congrats dundee!

When are you due?
If you look further up the thread, you'll find our stat list where you can add your numbers!
Xmas Smile

RunDMC: Urgh, sounds awful! Think that smell would tip me over the edge as well.

Feeling the sickness myself today, and have an evening out with what my OH calls "the mum brigade"; 6 girl friends all with babies between 3 and 1 that are disproportionately interested in me joining their ranks.

They regularly take me out and order red meat, blue cheese and cocktails (tonight; blue cheese burgers and sangria), and I'm convinced it's a test. Xmas Grin

Don't want to tell anyone at 6+2, though.
Have planned to show up early, order three blue Becks and pour them in a pint glass. Should throw them off the scent, if only I can refrain from puking...
Xmas Smile

MrsBB1982 · 07/12/2010 18:33

On the plus side I had not problem getting a slot. I rang on Monday and was offered Tuesday (at work) so got one tomorrow as off work.
Exciting!

northeastmummy · 07/12/2010 20:56

Ha ha ha ha ha ImpatientCat ... that's brilliant! I tend to get really weird dreams when I'm pregnant, but not till a bit later on. I also tend to get insomnia which I'm really not looking forward to while working full time with 2 small ones to look after the rest of the time!

In contrast to everyone else, I'm feeling less nauseous by the minute. I'm only panicking mildly!!! It's a double edged sword isn't it?

Hello Dundee ... [waving enthusiastically] ...

mrsred · 07/12/2010 22:30

Hi all,
If my calculations are correct I'm due on 10th of August, perhaps someone could tell me that if I add myself to the list, if i need to do so in chronological order?

I feel very behind the pace re seeing GP, I clearly need to prioritise a bit, but have such a hectic work next week, thought i'd try to book in for the week starting the 20th? is that really too late?

RockinRobinBird · 07/12/2010 22:46

No, of course not. That's the earliest I'll be seeing my gp and then only because of Christmas. 7 weeks is fine for the first appt.

LifeOfKate · 08/12/2010 11:48

Hi All,

Have been lurking for a few days, thought I would introduce myself now :)

I got my BFP clearly yesterday morning, although had a faint one on Saturday. Had a tiny bit of spotting already although not sure if this was an implantation bleed. This will be my DC2, DS is one year old tomorrow :o

My offical due date is 10th August, although I'm fairly sure that I ovulated a little late, so expect that the scan will put it closer to 14th. Not really feeling any different, although I didn't feel much until about 6-7 weeks last time, so not expecting it just yet. In fact, the only symptom I'm having is nosebleeds Hmm I got a couple in early pregnancy last time and just chalked them up to coincidence, but then I haven't had one again up to now, so clearly that's how my body reacts to a pregnancy!

I'm probably not bothering to book a midwives appointment until after Christmas, as the last time, I had an appointment with the GP when I was 4 weeks and he forgot to put through a referral for me Hmm I ended up ringing them at about 9 weeks and booked an appointment direct with the midwife who did my referral and booked the scan, so think I will cut out the middle man this time and book direct with the midwife closer to 9 weeks!

Hope everybody is feeling well, I'll add myself to the stats

Hi all, can I join?

I got a bfp on Monday - though I'm not exactly sure when I'm due as I didn't make a note of when my last AF was Blush. I think I'm due around 13th August, but not completely sure.

This is my third pg, I've got 2 dc - dd is 3.6 and ds is 2.2. Got my booking in appt on 20/12 as long as dh can take some time off work to look after the dc as I don't want to tell my family this early, just in case....

Hope everyone is well and welcome to all the newbies.

Been really tired the last few days, not helped by huge event at work today. I have been nursing a glass with an inch of champagne for 2 hrs now! Great day so far. have met and have photos taken with David Tennent, Jason Issacs, Bendan Cole and Chris Hollins and met and shaken hands with Prince William and Prince Charles!!!

Just seen the GP this morning - she was lovely. She almost seemed as excited as me & the DH. Didn't go for a wee this morning in case they wanted to do pg test. Desparate for a wee by 9am and the doc let me 'step out for a minute' in the appointment when it became clear I didn't need a test!
Do need to get some blood tests and go see a consultant at the hospital as I may have had a DVT a few years ago - gulp

Hi to the new additions!

Is anyone else STARVING? I could eat all day every day. Not helped by the fact I'm usually pretty active (running, gym etc) but with the snow I can't exercise outside and the gym's at work, which has been either been shut, closing early or the weather's been so bad I've wanted to get straight home. Feel like I'm going to be the size of a house and I'm only 4+4!

littlemisslozza · 08/12/2010 17:19

Hi everyone, I too am newly pg, expecting my third. Already have two DS's and had a mc before DS1. Hoping for a stress free first trimester this time as I've experienced bleeding around 6-7weeks every time so far. First time it was clearly bad news, then was nothing to worry about when I was expecting my boys, just very scary. On the plus side I got to see them both in early scans but I'd rather not have to worry!

The Pregnancy Book is pretty good. DH correctly predicted I'd have read it twice by the time he gets home! Not that I'm obsessive and/or excited Xmas Grin
Skimmed over the birth bit - not quite ready to think about that bit!

ImpatientCat · 08/12/2010 19:10

Hi all, and welcome to the new ones!

coastgirl: yes, I am famished! Been trying to eat a bit more healthy since I found out, so could just be my body complaining about a reduced calorie-intake though. The morning sickness is ruining it all though, I cant stay hungry for long...
It's a bad circle, I'm hungry and if I get hungry I start feeling sick and queasy, so I eat or snack or nibble, so my stomach gets used to food all the time, so I get hungry and so on...

Cheering myself up with the thought that compared to the calories I'd normally take in through booze this time of year, I'm practically dieting.

Hersetta: dead jealous, have had a crush on David Tennant for years....

northeastmummy · 08/12/2010 20:59

I'm starving too - and already feel huge. I think I'm going to have to get some new trousers to keep me going until I hit maternity clothes!

What on earth do you do Hersetta!!!?

Hello Ekka, littlemisslozza and LifeofKate. Lovely to meet you all Smile

LifeOfKate · 08/12/2010 21:15

Thanks for the welcome :)

That's great, Firawla, happy birthday for your DS next week :o

Firawla · 09/12/2010 00:06

coastgirl yes im starving too and quite worried about gaining weight because i gained alot with my other 2 and only just lost it, and really i still have a bit more to lose so hoping to keep up healthy eating and try not to put on much this time. if only i start craving everything healthy then that will be ideal Grin not like craving chips and potato waffles with my other ones!
started to feel really nauseated drinking diet coke, felt like ive gone right off it, which i guess is good anyway because of the caffeine in it. still not felt too sick otherwise so hope it stays like that

kate thanks, hope u and your ds have a good day tomorrow
