Got my BFP this morning after 4 cycles of TTC and EDD is 1st August. This will be my 2nd (DD will be 3.11 when this one is due and is a very late August baby herself).I am am 40 yrs old.

Very shocked, but very happy.

Well I called the midwife and she told me they do a short appointment at about 8 weeks before your booking-in - I won't see the GP at all! She also asked if I'd thought about where I want to have the baby; no, actually I am doing a good job of blocking that part out of my mind at all.

Planning to tell family at Christmas. It seems like a long way off...(but not as long as a party at the ILs will be without alcohol, sob)

Anyone got any symptoms yet, I don't . Had some mild cramping but thats about it. I have the worst headache ever for the past 3 days.

I am 3+5 today so when should I expect them??

Hello from another newbie

I'm due on the 11th and this is number 4 for me! ds1 is 21, ds2 is 29, dd is 4 - and just to add to the fun I have a 12 year old dsd and 18month gorgeous grand-daughter. I'm 40 !!

I didn't really feel sick until about 5.5/6 weeks, Terrys. Don't worry - make most of feeling great. Prob with finding out early is the time just draaaggggss.

Have been dithering for a few days whether to join this thread....it's such early days and I am massively nervous. I found out at 8dpo (had been charting after stalking the charters thread) and am now 4 + 3 so it feels like forever already!

I'm 31 and married my lovely man nearly 4 months ago. This is our first and we are so excited! I've booked an early scan when I'll only be 6 + 1 hoping we can see the heartbeat so we can tell our families at Xmas. I have only told my BF so far and I am struggling to keep quiet, especially as I have major bloat, gas, headaches, indigestion and tiredness.

This really is the best Christmas present I could ask for and I look forward to seeing it through with you lovely ladies.

I'm a due end of July as well so bit fraudelent 2 to be on august thread but like ladygonegaga they are now so much more far ahead in july that think will be staying put here as things will happen at similar times that can relate to lol.

Was worried nausea had faded but after day5 of the 7 night oncalls it came back with a vengeance- finding it quite hard to deal with together with the fatigue but luckily tonight is last shift with weekend off to rest- may sleep the whole way through it lol.

I got three Little Faint Positives this morning at 11dpo (went a bit cross eyes peering!) so here I am

This will be my second baby, we lost our first daughter Bobbie at 20 weeks in October and it is utterly awful. The reason turned out to be a toxoplasma infection and we were told to wait 6 months before ttc. Ahem. So we went home and stopped shagging, but appeared to have already achieved it!

Absolutely terrified now. I've been referred straight to the consultant this morning, promised early bloods, scan etc.

Please for goodness sake be careful with raw meat, rare meat, gardening and cats!

Hi folks - another very early, but I'm feeling confident.

This is only our first month ttc and I've had my heart set on it. Even did three tests before I even knew I could possibly be pg. Liek dry runs, only I knew I didn't have to get my hopes up.

So been up since 4am and couldn't sleep - stomach pains, like period pains, so I got up to moan, called in sick and sat down to watch crap tv all day (DD at ILs - I'm not a neglectful mother!).

But no period - so I drove myself to Tesco, did a test at lunchtime, after about 5 pints of water, and a VERY (surprise!) faint line. But as I said, feeling confident. Will test again tomorrow.

Just booked my booking in appointment - Jan 5th. Just have to wait for them to send me my dating scan appointment through the post.

Still tired from the day's events yesterday. For those that wanted to know, i work for a large broking firm and yesterday was our annual 'charity day' when we give all our revenue raised to charity. We raised £12.1m yesterday and hence get lots of celebs and even royalty visit the office, do trades to support the charities they represent. there was a lot of coverage in today's newspapers and apparantly i was even seen on sky news yesterday!

Good day all round - if a bit mad as the whole office (1200+ people) dress up in fancy dress. There are a lot of sore heads today as the company hold a party after the day is over. I think I must be one of the very few who is feeling fine.

I'm due aug 2nd (I think), How do I join? Its my first pregnancy - what do all the stats mean?!

i am feeling soo tired 2day and have started feeling a bit sick now. i think tiredness only partly due to pregnancy and the rest of it due to my other 2 playing up @ night, but i feel like i have no energy left at all. was supposed to be going to gym tonight and have cancelled it, so feel guilty about that but really all i wna do is just relax and do nothing

sparkly edd is your due date, then people have put their ages, other children/pregnancies and location on it
