jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/09/2005 20:22

HOORAH!!!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/09/2005 21:45

i am officially stupid.... just went to old house and spent an hour on my hands and knees cleaning and bending up and down and now feel crap! Cant complain to DH because he told me to take it easy..... god WHY do i so this to myself?!

triceratops · 18/09/2005 09:44

J&BM I wish we had bought a house from you. When we moved in last year this place was minging. The last woman had left half a roast leg of lamb in the oven and a full dishwasher of dirty dishes. It smelled bad (I won't mention the bathrooms). We have had nothing but bailiffs letters for her in the post as she doesn't seem to have paid any of her bills and she left no forwarding address. I would be so ashamed of myself if I sold a house and then left it like a pigsty.

And it is very good for you to be on your hands and knees you know.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/09/2005 09:48

trice - its an army house, so the place has to be spick and span before we hand it back. DH is down there now with Jess just finishing off - ie cleaning kitchen floor and thats us done!

Regret it this morning - i ache from head to toe!

triceratops · 18/09/2005 09:49

We all need one of those dreamy sounding pregnancy massages.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/09/2005 09:51

dont we just!!!

May have to ask DH to rub my back and feet later when they get home.... just to totally relax me!

cant believe how close we all are to dropping these babies.....

BigBumpBonnie · 18/09/2005 11:34

mawbroon, don't worry too much at being still breech at 34+ as I was still in this position at 35+ but by the time I got to my consultants appointment at over 36 weeks, she got her act together and is now head down. She weighs 6lb 12oz so was quite a size when she moved! I really want this to be over now as am a bit worried about how big she'll be if I go overdue. If she weighs 6lb12oz now and it's roughly half a pound a week gain she could be over 9lb by the time I have her. Don't think I could cope with such a large one as dd was only 7lb13oz and that was HARD!!!

I've also got a really sore area on the top of my bump, it feels like somethings digging in inside. It really hurts. Anyone got any ideas??

This better be the last thread!! I'm hopefully on my last bottle of cocoa butter and my last packet of heartburn tablets as well. Have taken to the sofa full time now as feel so tired and huge all the time and am getting really bored.

Wish I could be more like you morningpaper! Watch the gardening, as the afternoon I mowed the lawn when pg with dd I went into labour that evening. (watch, bet you'll all be out in your gardens now ).

Come on someone, we're ready for our next birth announcement now!!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/09/2005 11:36

BBB - we are ready now arent we!

Ive still got 4.5 weeks to go but am SO ready!

maybe more hands and knees action is called for!

nervousmum2be · 18/09/2005 12:35

8 days to go till my c-section Though i think i'm going to get pipped to the post - i'm sure Joseyjo's is before mine!

Feeling really fat and uncomfortable today - anyone got a tried-and-tested method for constipation, other than copious amounts of water, tons of fresh fruit, and several dired figs? (tried all these to no avail!). Getting lots of kicks and movements from Boo today - i think he's complaining about the lack of room!

Off out for a proper pub Sunday lunch in an hour with my parents. My last eating out session as a non-mum! Scary thought!

Moomin · 18/09/2005 12:39

Hi nm2b - have posted on your other thread about the constipation!

I'm so rubbish. I went swimming with dh and dd this morning - didn't do anything but sit on the steps and then float hanging onto the bar as I'm not sposed to do any exercise at all at the moment - and I'm KNACKERED!! Have come home and got undressed & into my nightie and am on my way for lie down on the bed!

Redtartanlass · 18/09/2005 12:50

Hi All

Had a busy couple of days?..work was busy Friday, as had a big meeting, they?re making 1300 redundancies?..checked with ACAS to see what my rights are as I?m supposed to have 6 months full pay!!! Conflicting information. But hey got more important things to worry about.

Nm2b ? oh my goodness 8 days?..you enjoy your meal today.

Bbb ? I don?t find the tablets work, I?m on a bottle of Galveston every 2 days, I have bottles everywhere work, car, upstairs downstairs?in my ladies chamber!!! Great news about bub!

J&bmum ? are you being posted somewhere else? That must be a pain, just at the end of your pregnancy.

Mbroon ? fingers crossed for you.

Has anyone heard from fastasleep and her toxic fanny (her words not mine!!

Love - RTL 24 days and counting

Lexie100 · 18/09/2005 12:55

wish i could sit on the sofa, walked the dog for an hour and have been teak oiling the garden furniture before it goes away for the winter. I can't believe it's got so cold this week. I put the heating on last night!

Anyone else finding it hard to eat healthy meals. So far today i have had ready brek, a toblerone, 3 cup cakes and half a pizza. Also drinking water by the bucket full. Just can't stand the thought of fruit.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/09/2005 13:09

Redtartanlass · 18/09/2005 13:10

Wish I could force myself to drink more water though.

Lexie100 · 18/09/2005 13:32

Thank goodness. Profitaroles sound yummy. Need more chocolate

OP posts:
Redtartanlass · 18/09/2005 13:40

SusiS · 18/09/2005 14:50

going through a pack of haribo atm

we made the effort and drove to the hospital i am supposed to give birth in to take the ward tour. - got there and a big sign on the door 'tour cancelled' - of course after we've paid for the carpark!!!!
oh well, at least now we know how to get there and how long it will take us! but still

jm great to have you back and that the move went so 'easy' for you. bad girl for scrubbing so much though 'slapping your fingers'

we are off to mil's on tuesday for the rest of the week (NO internet ) - we are getting our heating done!!! just in time really - it IS getting cold now

14 days to go for me

Moomin · 18/09/2005 15:43

ooo forgot to say - for anyone else having a planned section - here's a good tip for you if it's your 1st:
Get your dh/dp to shave you the night before (take about an inch below your natural bikini line) - otherwise a midwife armed with a nasty Bic will do it for you the morning of the op!! Dh reminded me about this when I was buying some razors for hospital the other day, sniggering as he did so - he thinks it's the true definition of lurve!

morningpaper · 18/09/2005 18:45

Eek Moomin!

I'm a bit worried about Fastasleep - hope she's ok!

Did an hour's hill-walking today followed by enormous Sunday roast and then an hour scrubbing the deck. :-P

I'll probably end up in a wheelchair...

I am feeling massive and crap but I can't bear the thought of sitting down and I've got such a DRIVE to get things done.

Redtartanlass · 18/09/2005 18:54

Know what you mean MP, I've even got to the stage where I'm thinking of packing my hospital bag! How many days have you got? Sames as you worried about fastasleep.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/09/2005 18:57

WHERE IS FA..... God i wish she would make an appearance!

How many of you STILL havent packed your bags.... you are naughty naughty girlies - these babies could pop at any time now!

Just eaten a HUGE plate of pork steak, roas potatoes and brocolli and although feel very full, it was LOVELY!

fastasleep · 18/09/2005 19:01

Argh argh poo sorry I'm fiiiiiiiiiiiiine, blimey girls! Chat much? Have gone totally airheaded and can't remember what month it is (We're not in October are we? Tell me we're not!) let alone what week let alone the day let alone whether I've checked my email........ takes breath!

I have the most ridiculous doctor in the universe who refused to even look and said to wait for the midwife clinic on Tuesday where the doctor used to looking at lady gardens would be hanging around , seriously thinking of changing GPs but they're all full I'm fine though honest honesnt honest, sorry for disappearing! Not caught up yet... how long have I been gone anyway? I need a brain transplant! Is it Sunday?

Toxic fanny is no more or less toxic though, the infernal itching comes and goes... no pain when peeing, seeing the midwife and the lady garden doctor on Tuesday... pffft @ them all... reads your chatter! (sorry to worry you guys!!!)

fastasleep · 18/09/2005 19:02

Oh look - loook! It says the date in the header! Wow!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/09/2005 19:04

THANK GOD you are ok.... really thought something was up and you had been whisked in for an emergency c-section or something! God i have too much time on my hands dont i!!

at your docs - that is just NOT good enough - i would make a serious complaint about it, NO doctor should refuse to look to see what the problem could be and leave you DAYS until it can be sorted.... he needs struck off!

mawbroon · 18/09/2005 19:04

I'm a bad girl then. I haven't packed my bag yet, but I'm not due until 27th October. I will put it on my "to do" list and consider myself scolded J&BM

I had a wonderful pregnancy massage this afternoon. I volunteered to be a "body" for a prenatal massage course. The girl was very good and I felt great afterwards. Didn't last long however as we then went to Ikea. Who's idea was that on a sunday afternoon.....

I am so happy to be finished work now and will start nesting/cleaning tomorrow when I have to house to myself.

Hope you are all ok ladies.
