OK morningpaper, I can tell you that you won't if that's what you want to hear (but can't guarantee it I'm afraid ). Try not to get too stressed with that party now!

My ds2 was due on my dd's birthday - thankfully, he was the usual 8 days late! So at least I now have 8 days to recover between parties.

Good to hear from you Moomin and all the very best for Monday - you deserve to be first on the list!

morningpaper · 06/10/2005 20:12

Just said goodnight to dd.

Me: "So in the morning, you can go downstairs and see if there's anything for you to open!"
DD: "Mummy, will the baby be wrapped up for me?"

(Sound of my heart breaking in to a zillion pieces)

morningpaper · 06/10/2005 20:13

Lexie that sounds right.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/10/2005 20:16

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/10/2005 21:37

Trice.... ive got 14 days til EDD according to scan dates..... tomorrow by my dates!

fastasleep · 06/10/2005 21:39

No time to read it all, although I want to, sounds exciting - people popping everywhere! Well done to everyone who's had em and everyone else hang on in there!

Sophia really not taking well to the breast, has jaundice, very difficult attempting to feed/express/pet toddler/feed etc... stinking cold not gone either! NOSLEEP very fitting lol... she's an absolute angel though, I'm in love, Theo loves her - he pats her gently and strokes her head and helps me burp her and everything, makes me tear up every time sniffle... hormones horrible today, keep sobbing!

You've all picked gorgeous names!

JM I hope you're not getting too frustrated!

Here's some pics hopefully!

ooh eck why am I in a tub of water mama?!

and, 6 hours old, ready to go home!

Jockey · 06/10/2005 21:51

CONGRATULATIONS Elf . Glad all is well.

Love the pics fastasleep. She looks so tiny & vulnerable... aaaaah!!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 06/10/2005 21:54

FA... she is absolutely GORGEOUS.... I WANT HER!

Really pleased all is well at home bar the feeding and you feeling crap!

I feel crap too... and VERY frustrated..... i still cant believe you popped before me!

mawbroon · 06/10/2005 21:59

Elf - congratulations . Maybe just as well that you didn't have to push all 8lbs 13.5oz out!!

FA - Sophia is gorgeous!

Re constipation - seem to be ok, despite being on iron tablets - it is black though (tmi )

Got DH to do my moxa treatment tonight and what a bloody MOAN he had about it. It smells like a joint (so I'm told ) and he's sure the police will be knocking on the door to arrest us. I'm just going to do it myself out in the greenhouse. I would rather struggle to reach my toes than listen to that f'ing whinging for another four days And then to top it all off, he saw 2 mins of that programme about Omega 3 and started going on about how I wasn't eating enough of it, blah blah blah blah

OK. That's my moan for the day

jessysmummy · 06/10/2005 21:59

Hello ladies!
Just thought I'd pop in from the Sept ante natal thread - yes, there are STILL a couple of us there waiting to pop - to say well done and to all of you who have produced gorgeous little bundles and best of luck to all those still waiting.
Have considered joining you as it's gone very quiet on the sept thread but thought better of it - don't want to depress you all with how overdue I am!
Anyway, hope all goes well with you and your new babes.

hester · 06/10/2005 23:17

Oh Elf, HUGE congratulations and welcome to little Evelyn (lovely name). Can't wait to hear the full story! Hope you're feeling well.

And fastasleep, the photos of Sophia made me all tear up. Can't believe I'll have my own little girl in just a couple of weeks. She really is very lovely..

Congratulations everyone

grannygoose · 07/10/2005 07:13

Welcome baby Evelyn and Happy Birthday to MP's little cutie.

Hope everybody has a good day today - aches and pains have receded somewhat and I am looking forward to the weekend.

Amazing what some sleep can do for the psyche

First of all

CONGRATULATIONS ELF

WHOOOOO- HOOOOO

Hi trickorflum & jessymummy, for jessymum, have you had your date to be induced?

Maw, sorry, but image of your neighbours watching you struggling to put a candle between your toes in the greenhouse, was too much for me first thing in the morning and I pml

Moomin- glad to hear from you, wonder if you?ll be next or will we have any weekend babes.

MP ? don?t suppose dd got her wish of a wee wrapped up baby!!!!

Fastasleep ? cried like a baby at your beautiful, beautiful pictures. She is gorgeous!!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 07/10/2005 08:26

Happy Birthday MP's dd.....

Still plodding along here.... had the WORST night EVER with Jessica last night - assuming she is getting back into the habit for when bump arrives!

Hoping to be able to put her back to bed in a bit so i can get some rest! 4 hours sleep is NOT good!

BigBumpBonnie · 07/10/2005 08:52

Congratulations Elf, and welcome to little Evelyn xxxxx

FA, your little sophia is GORGEOUS, really making things real now seeing the little bundles that we've been talking about for so long.

Moomin, good luck for Monday. At least you are quite early on the list so you won't have all day to wait.

Morningpaper, happy birthday to your dd!! I've got a similar problem with my ds having his birthday on Sunday. It was my scan due date on Wednesday and it's my lmp due date tomorrow. Ds will be 17 and will be looking after dd while I'm giving birth. Not really great if this is the way he'll be spending his birthday, but he's been great about it. I'm just hoping the baby hangs on in there, if she doesn't come today she's not allowed to pop out until Monday! (don't you just know I'll go into labour on Saturday night now )

Searched the supermarkets for Raspberry leaf tea and can't find it anywhere. Can you only get it from Health Food shops?? Really don't want to be induced so desperate for her to come next week at some point.

Hi to those from the september thread, us October ladies should promise not to moan about nothing happening until all of you have had your babies first!!

morningpaper · 07/10/2005 09:25

lol @ mawbroon in the greenhouse!!!

Well I'm still here! Got up at 7am to blow up loads of helium balloons for dd. Gave her chocolate for breakfast and have now sent her off to nursery for a couple of hours to see her friends and distribute cake. She is dressed up like a (chubby) princess complete with tiara.

She is being lovely and surprisingly polite and grateful for everything which is very sweet. Doesn't seem to mind the lack of baby although gave my tummy a big cuddle first thing this morning!

danishmummy · 07/10/2005 09:28

Wow, away for a couple of days and there's lots of babies! Well done, everyone!!

Elf -- huge tillykke ("congratulations" in Danish) and welcome to Evelyn
Fastasleep -- big tillykke with gorgeous Sophia. Your cute pictures made me recall the wee sounds they make! Re feeding: it's early days/one day! I am sure she will get there.
Marinda, Yokefleet -- late but big tillykke! Well done.

Redtartanlass -- only now got chance to see your absoulutely gorgeous girl from 30 week picture! Amazing smile Would make anyone broody!

Mawbroon -- keep those sticks burning!! Excited to hear, if they work; might try them too. Your poor DH: lighting those candles must be such hard work compared to your easy days! My scan is monday to see how the land (and baby) lies.

Happy birthday to MPs dd.

ButtonMoon · 07/10/2005 12:16

Just to let you all know. DS arrived at 11.29 last night after a 6 hour ish labour...only one hour of pur agony though! All well....8lb 9 oz......a wee one in comparison to DD who weighed 9lb 12oz (and they say they get bigger.)
