I?m seeing mw tomorrow as well. Had a terrible night last night, it was so bl*y hot, is anyone else using a fan at night to keep cool???

I dreamt last night that my waters had broken and I woke up and jumped up (well as much as an 8mth prg lady can jump) and started to pack my hospital bag. Until I realised it was just a dream, do you think it?s my subconscious telling me I need to get off my lazy ass and pack my hospital bag??

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 21/09/2005 11:35

RTL - GET OFF YOUR ASS AND PACK YOUR BAG!

FA - you werent the only one with action last night! 2 nights running now and DH thinks its xmas!!! ANYTHING to try and get things going!!!

House looks like a bomb has gone off - oh well, another job for DH tonight, Jess has just gone down for a sleep so guess where im headed!!!

Take care all....

nervousmum2be · 21/09/2005 11:46

very at all you ladies still getting some action. I haven't seen any for ages, and i don't think it's likely before Monday now!

Still, DP has ordered me a new bottle of expensive perfume to make up for it. It should certainly last longer. Off to tidy the spare room, ready for the In-Law's impending visit next week. God, i lead such a fun life - NOT!!!

mawbroon · 21/09/2005 11:55

No brown line or popped belly button for me, although what's left by way of my belly button is getting smaller and smaller, actually, it looks a bit like a cats arse. I have also discovered a freckle that must have been hidden inside it, but is now outside!!

Just back from the swimming pool where I had a 40 minute swim. I seem to have much more energy now that I have stopped working or maybe it's the iron tablets!! I had a cookathon yesterday afternoon to try to fill the freezer and will carry on with that this afternoon. I have a ton of ripe tomatoes from our greenhouse which need dealing with and I hope I can get the green ones made into chutney before the baby arrives.

Saw the midwife yesterday. She agreed that baby is still breech, but she says that the hospital have been asking breechies to hold off until 37 weeks before being referred. That gives my baby a fortnight to get his act together..... DH and I were trying to list all the positives of a section, just in case I end up having to have one. Guess which positive he liked the sound of

Redtartanlass · 21/09/2005 11:58

cats arse lol

YOKEFLEET · 21/09/2005 12:12

rtl - I am sure that I will have that next appointment!!! This little one aint gonna come out that easy I am sure!!!!!
I don't have a brown line and still have my belly button!!
for the last week I have been sleeping much better and not getting up more then 3 times a night for a pee which has been bliss but last night I was up every 2hrs having a pee, I guess babies head must have dropped a bit, getting me ready for 2hourly feeds dh reckons!!
My pil's have decided to come and stay with us overnight on the 7th Oct (I am due on the 2nd) they live 250miles away - now to me this seems a bit odd that they planned it like that, cos as this is our 1st baby I am likely to go further over then that anyway aren't I???? oh god that means they will come to stay again soon doesn't it???????????????

YOKEFLEET · 21/09/2005 12:14

I feel hormonal now, how will I feel with being overdue and my MIL!!!!! [grin} and bear it I guess!! lol

Lexie100 · 21/09/2005 12:15

ohh sympathise with backache, hurts soooo much today. Also have lump thing under my right arm which is sore. Looked on internet and say it maybe something to do with milk production although no leaking yet!!!

SOOOO tired think i over did it yesterday. TV so bad will have to get sky.

Sex, what's that???

OP posts:
Redtartanlass · 21/09/2005 12:23

Yorkefleete ? can?t your pils stay with someone else, it?s a bit much staying with you, with new baby. Unless off course they are going to be a great help. Will dh be there to help? I?m a bit of a cow, but there is NO WAY I?d let my in-laws stay with me. I?m going to be weepy and tired anyway and I really don?t want to hear how mil had all her 4 boys out of napies at 20mths. Yeh course you did love?.

Good grief just re-read that, sound a bit bitter eh? Fil wonderful, mil hard work!!

Redtartanlass · 21/09/2005 12:26

No sorry...had her boys out of nappies at 10 months

nervousmum2be · 21/09/2005 12:43

How is that even physically possible?!?

Finished my exertions for the day, off to the sofa and trashy daytime TV

YOKEFLEET · 21/09/2005 15:04

RTL - I don't think little one will be here by that date but we will just have to see. (If little one has arrived I might go stop at my mum's for that night!!) I wouldn't find my mil helpful as all through the pg so far, I just have her ringing in my ear reminding me that "pregnancy isn't an illness" arrgghh I can feel my BP soaring again..........

YOKEFLEET · 21/09/2005 15:10

I just don't have the energy to do anything today! I am still in my nightie, have only eaten a bag of crisps and a chocolate spread sandwich. I suppose I should make the most of the freedom eh?? How on earth are some of you still working? and I wouldn't have been able to cope recently if I had a toddler around as well as feeling like a beached whale. oh well I only have 11 days until edd!!! oh my god we are so nearly there!

morningpaper · 21/09/2005 15:49

38+3 today - still working part-time and looking after toddler... Today we got up at 7, planted some bulbs in the front garden, went to toddler music class, went to the garden centre, went to the park, went to the midwife... To be honest it's the last couple of hours of the day that I find really difficult - I just want to sleep but I have to cook dinner! I'm pretty much in bed by 9pm though - waking every hour at least for peeing!

Saw midwife today - all fine and baby engaged., hurrah.

triceratops · 21/09/2005 16:42

You sound like you are doing it properly MP. I felt fine this morning and went to do my last big shop but nearly passed out in M&S with a low blood pressure thing. Bought some nice boots though.

I have just made the appointment to have the kit brought round for my homebirth. I feel a bit strange about it because I don't actually want to give birth at all. Can't I just have the baby without the scary bit?

morningpaper · 21/09/2005 17:05

I know what you mean Trice... when I was pregnant with my first it was all such an unknown and it was quite exciting... now it's a KNOWN experience it feels much worse. Part of me was hoping for a breech baby this time. People keep asking me what my birth plan is and I keep saying THERE IS NO FECKING PLAN!!!

Can't believe we'll ALL going to go through it in the next few weeks....

alterego · 21/09/2005 17:42

36+5 today and finally have a date for m/w to sort out my homebirth. She's coming round on Tuesday so as long as I hold out till then I should get the homebirth I want. Can't believe fastasleep's m/w - only during the day , what's all that about?

Feeling very uncomfortable - m/w yesterday said sproglet is back to back - so I've got terrible backache and sciatica. But should turn during labour if not before. Also 4/5 now (ie just started to move down) which explains why I go to the loo every hour.

Not at all bothered about giving birth (she says blithely) just want this baby out really.

Jockey · 21/09/2005 19:45

No fecking plan here either. Which reminds me, I must write something on the birth plan page, even if it is simply EPIDURAL ESSENTIAL!! I'm just hoping for a quick birth like last time but wondering if I could ever be that lucky again.

Alterego - I had sciatica earlier on and I really sympathise. So irritating. The baby must have shifted as it has cleared up.

Triceratops - mmmm those boots - what a good idea. Might make the trek to M&S tomorrow - could do with a splot of indulgence to cheer me up . Should be a laugh trying to get them on!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 21/09/2005 21:16

Not much of a plan here either... as it comes! Must have epidural if i ask for it though!

hester · 21/09/2005 21:35

Redtartanlass - I'm 36 weeks, so will finish work bang on 37 weeks. Had originally planned to go on till 38+, but am feeling very relieved to be stopping now. It's not even that work is so tiring, but commuting across London every day is.

My tummy button is just peeking out, but I have no brown line. No stretchmarks yet either, though I don't kid myself that I'll escape them; I have stretchmarks from dieting in my 20s, so I'm obviously predisposed.

Haven't packed my hospital bag either. Yet another job that will probably have to wait till I stop work.

What is really annoying me today is - the boiler that serves our block of flats has blown up and they seem to be taking their sweet time about fixing it. We've been without hot water for six days now, and they're saying it will be at least another five. So it's lots and lots of boiling kettles - for washing up (no dishwasher) and for daily sponge baths. I'm so fed up with this. I'm having a baby shower at the weekend and I want to be able to have clean hair and bake cakes and wash up... Am seriously tempted to go and throw a hormonal strop at our useless, villainous managing agents.

hester · 21/09/2005 21:36

And you should see me, balanced on one leg, trying to wash my legs and feet in the bathroom sink. There are some positions that are just ungainly/downright dangerous for a nine-months-pregnant woman to adopt.

ButtonMoon · 21/09/2005 21:42

Bad backache and felt like a jemima puddleduck today, proper waddling!!! LOL. No brown line here either but button pops in and out depending on position baby moves to. Am tired as I am having trouble sleeping soundly and then trying to cope with DD in day. Think I'll turn in in a bit. My plan says "epidural", mw told me that when I phone up to say I'm going to hosp to let them know that when I get there! Not that worried yet, still 3 weeks to go, maybe moving next week which is probably keeping my mind off it a bit. I'm just hoping that it won't be as long and drawn out as DD's birth and trying to stay positive....done it b4 likes millions of other woman........and I can do it again!! And then the fun will really begin!!!!!!!!!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 21/09/2005 21:44

Hester.... GET DOWN THERE AND COMPLAIN! It is disgraceful! You NEED hot water... and what if bubs was to appear early?!GO GIVE THEM HELL!

Lexie100 · 22/09/2005 08:57

Hester, i agree with J&BM - go give them hell. I wouldn't have stood for it this long.

Seriously pissed off today - not sure why.... just dont seem to want to do anything or cope with my darling tantrum fuelled toddler!

I just want to go back to bed and STAY there til this baby pops.... is that too much to ask!!!

Why cant 14 month old toddlers please themselves just a little bit while i veg out on the sofa?!

No sex last night - far too tired, but maybe tonight.... im so impatient now!
