NurseSunshine · 20/11/2010 20:13

So sorry 3kids :( only just seen your post. I'm sure it was just a one off. Best of luck in future and for now I hope you have loads of support and just take care of yourself xx

NurseSunshine · 20/11/2010 20:14

Sasamaxx I'd say squirty cream is fine, it's so processed I seriously doubt any nasties could live in it! And it's in a can so fill yer boots :)

sasamaxx · 20/11/2010 20:22

nursesunshine - actually thinking of squirting the entire can straight into my mouth Grin

NurseSunshine · 20/11/2010 20:23

Lol go for it! See if you can get it to come out of your nose Grin

mrsbigw · 20/11/2010 20:39

knackered76 · 20/11/2010 20:45

Wouldn't even cross my mind squirty cream isn't okay Confused

Well I'm off now to see if I can make it come out of my nose . . . might improve the x factor . . rubbish week so far!

8rubberduckies · 20/11/2010 21:38

3kids and Minione so sorry to come on here today and see your bad news. My thoughts are heading both your way x

I have eaten some curly kale today, first bit of veg in ages, and it went down surprisingly well. Ms has improved today, as it had all but disappeared by 2pm, apart from the odd bit of queasiness.

I have had a lovely day today catching up with friends - met 4 for lunch and told them about pg, and another friend has come to stay from out of the city for the night (she's hitting the tiles tonight and her 5 year old is sleeping here). Our other friend came over to visit earlier with her twins, so we had a house full of children and it was lovely and hectic. My ds loves having other children around so I'm so looking forward to giving him a brother or sister Smile.

PS, my friend with twins said she had no morning sickness either, but she did have a really dark line on her pg test as early as the day she missed her period, so watch out ladies Wink.

Mummynumber2 · 20/11/2010 21:58

minione and 3kids I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. Sad

sasamaxx it sounds like your sister and her oh have a great attitude towards it. I heard not long before starting ivf that people who laugh more are more likely to have a successful cycle. I have no idea if that's true but I got myself through the whole horrible process with the help of fawlty towers and blackadder DVDs!

I think squirty cream is fine as long as you wash the nozzle after every time it's used. Apparently old cream can breed bacteria in there.

sasamaxx · 20/11/2010 22:20

nursesunshine - eeuuwwww I'm too scared to try to make it come out of my nose - how did you manage knackered - yep x factor was terrible tonight. Only liked Mary (who I never usually like) and Paije.
My chinese food has left me unable to move never mind make a hot chocolate with squirty cream on top. Hoping to clear a bit of stomach room for one before I go to bed Grin

Oh rubberduckies another ms-less twin pregnancy...interesting...

mummyno2 - yes they do - and I understand they're really going to need to keep that attitude throughout it all - must have been really tough for you too Sad. Great tip about the laughing - I'm going to pass that on and you've helped me pick her christmas pressie too so thanks Wink Good point about the nozzle - will def do that!

Minione · 20/11/2010 22:34

Thanks for all your kind words x

Take care x

NurseSunshine · 20/11/2010 22:36

I bet it's true about laughing mummynumber2, I'm a firm believer that laughter (along with sleep and good diet) cures most things :) If I wasn't so lazy I'd try to find some scientific research to back that up Grin

I'm not an x factor watcher, don't even have a telly so I can't comment on it, except Paije? Seriously? Hate it when people spell names wrong!

LOL just remembered the lovely debenhams bra lady today, when I told her I was pg, she said, Oh yes I was going to ask if you were, I thought You cheeky cow!! Apparently my svelte and slim days are definitely over now :( Wink

Minione and 3kids I was so terribly upset to read your news. I hope you both are as well as can be expected and have loads of RL support. I dont know what else to say. Im sorry Sad

BarbieLovesKen · 21/11/2010 09:45

Morning all.

Had to say,NurseSunShine, there is no such thing as a perfect situation to bring any child into. It doesnt exist. From someone who had shock pregnancy at 19 (with no car, house - nothing!), to now being married, own house, very planned etc... believe it or not, I honestly couldnt pick which "time" is more suitable to bring another lo into the world - honestly - theres always something. I dont think your selfish at all, I think your brilliant and really brave. You sound so intelligent and kind and any baby will be so lucky to have you. Dont doubt yourself for one second.

Oooh I am so sick. Im up all night tossing and turning with sickly nausea and then at around 4 was up for almost an hour vomiting up loads of well..(sorry!!!) bile and what felt like pure acid.

It burned my throat which is now killing me and Ive woken with a headache, so I could be a little dehydrated from all that lovely throwing up.

I've started to panic again that somethings wrong, no reason but the sad news on here always makes me think. Wish scan date would come..

Feeling very sorry for myself Grin

Hows everyone else today?

3kidsandbump · 21/11/2010 09:50

Thanks for all your messages.

Am not feeling too bad now - just makes me really appreciate the 3 children I already have, and I guess I have been very lucky to have had 3 successful pregancies with no issues.

Supersunny it is good to hear that there is only a very small chance of this happening again. Just keeping our fingers crossed at the moment that we may still end up with a 2011 baby - maybe just later in the year!

3kidsandbump & Minione - thinking of you both today after your sad news :( Take care of yourselves.

Jasmine - when I was pg with DS, I did AN classes with the NCT, cost £180, we has 2 full days at the AN teacher's house, plus a 3 hour session on Bfing with the NCT BFC.

It was well worth the money - the class was small, 8 couples, and we were able to request in advance about what information we wanted to be provided with (one mum was looking at a possible CS so she wanted information on that). We were also give lunch, drinks and cakes as well :D

We did a lot of group activities which was fun and it was very very useful.

NurseSunshine · 21/11/2010 10:09

Morning guys :)

Sorry you're feeling so horrible Barbie, really hope you feel better today. How many weeks are you now? It should be starting to tail off within the next couple of weeks or so, at least.

I can't brush my tongue, supersunny my actual teeth are usually ok but as soon as I do my tongue, even the very tip, I'm retching Confused

Sheesh barbie and supersunny, way to toy with a pregnant girl's emotions! Thank you for your lovely words, they are very much appreciated :)

Barbie, I'm desperately worried that something has happened. I keep weighing up the "evidence", MS pretty much gone, boobs not sore, but they are bigger, no bleeding which is obv a good sign, bloated tummy etc etc there just isn't anything that makes me think "Yes I am definitely pregnant." I keep thinking, what if I get to the scan on tuesday and there's just nothing there? I'm trying to think of the 4 +ve pg tests, and the fact that you don't get false +ves but I just can't help worry that they were all wrong.

sasamaxx · 21/11/2010 10:22

I am getting really wierd waves of (mild) pain across my waistline-type area - underneath my ribs. Doe anyone know what on earth this is???

BarbieLovesKen · 21/11/2010 10:54

SuperSunny your so sweet - thank you so much. No! no scan date yet Angry hope its not going to be too late now because of the mistake. I think, if it had been sent in when it was supposed to, I would have my scan next week Sad (what should be the 12 week scan is at around week 14 here)

3Kids, the very best of luck, like Supersunny, I too became pregnant very quickly after my MC. I miscarried on Feb 14th and was pregnant again on 18th of April (with my very healthy, happy now ds I might add). Will be thinking of you.

NurseSun, I was 13 weeks yesterday so am hoping it will start to tail off. DH and I have promised to start cooking/ buying/ eating way healthier as an attempt to improve the MS (and maybe damage control on the weight) cos I really dont think the absolute rubbish Im eating these days is doing me or MS or baby any good. Although, more than likely like yourself, I know its highly unlikely anything is wrong, Im finding it hard to be positive. I hope the time flies by to your scan.

Sasamaxx I have no idea what that pain is!! but I know exactly what your talking about as I often had it with ds!.
