hey everyone

just having a catch up on the last 48 hours posts but wondered if anyone else was watching love me, love my face on bbc3 at the moment? Looks like it could be interesting viewing

takethatlady · 18/11/2010 21:13

Oh minione try not to panic. I'm sure you can get a scan by going down to your EPU, especially with what has happened before.

petitech I did not know about that last. I just had a pasta dish with a very tomatoey sauce and a cup of tea for dinner. Expect I'll see it again later.

goodvibrations what a dream! That's awful Shock Grin

Minione · 18/11/2010 21:14

Thanks Petitech. From previous experience, I doubt I will get seen tomorrow so I shall wait until my scan on Saturday. It seems to have stopped, so hopefully its nothing. DH has been googling Hmm and has told me that it is very common at this stage in pregnancy. Fingers crossed, I don't think I could take any more bad news this year.

knackered76 · 18/11/2010 21:16

minione - try not to worry, I know that is so much easier said then done after all you've been through. You only have one more day until your scan so keep yourself busy and keep heart with the fact that there have been a few of us on here who have had the same and scan have been fine. Fingers crossed for less worry for.

Balletpink · 18/11/2010 21:21

Evening all! Still feeling sick as a dog here. Urrgh. I am craving orange juice like mad and have to ration myself. It has to be Tropicana, and it has to be with bits in Smile. Yum.

Hope everything is ok, Minione, I'm sure it will be just "one of those things" and you'll be fine. Lots of women seem to get a little bit of discharge here and there especially during the first trimester. Will be thinking of you on Saturday.

Very sorry to hear Yarnie's news Sad.

Re naughty dreams, apparently that means a boy, because of the extra testosterone in your system! Grin Hmm Old wives tale rubbish probably, but will be interesting to see if those who've had naughty dreams have boys or not! Wink

ON the topic of Take That, I love them and want to be in their gang Smile. I am missing out on TT gig next year as it's too close to the birth and I'll probably be queuing for the loos all the time. Maybe there'll be a 2012 gig?

My tummy is very obvious at the end of the day (9 weeks now) but I wear flowing clothes anyway, so work won't be noticing for a while hopefully.

Also loving the Bear emoticon! How cute!

Balletpink · 18/11/2010 21:24

Just read post back and even I would wonder what "flowing clothes" are like... Medieval dresses? Roman togas? Grin

What I meant is I don't wear tight fitting clothes, so it's hard to see my exact tummy shape Smile

bananarama05 · 18/11/2010 21:24

catherine I'm 24 and swear blind I remember take that splitting up and definitely had a few of their albums....on tape :)

Then again a girl at work said today "Take that? Yeah my mum used to listen to them"!! And I swear she's not that much younger than me!

I could of swore blind earlier today i seem to be developing a bit of a bump, maybe it's just a good excuse for the banoffee pie I had at lunch though :)

Ooh how do you do the teddy icon, missed that first time round?

Clarkiee · 18/11/2010 21:28

Now I know why I have a big bump- had my scan today and found out I'm having identical TWINS OMG had a slight inkling but no basis so I'm still in total shock! Shock Shock but I'm extremely excited (and relieved that everything is okay) Grin

p.s. MW said that it was the fourth person she'd scanned with twins in two days so watch out ladies something must have been in the water!!!

Minione · 18/11/2010 21:31

Thanks ladies. In my last pregnancy (my son was stillborn at 30 weeks) I had bleeding at 13 weeks. I sat in A and E for 4 hours and didn't get a scan until 2 days later, this was following a miscarriage at 7 weeks ( when I had to wait 5 days for a scan at the EPU) - so I can't see any point in doing anything before my scan on saturday. I was supposed to have an early scan this time but am not being seen until the 30th, hence why we organised a private scan.

Minione · 18/11/2010 21:33

Clarkiee Congrats on the news - twins, how exciting! How many weeks are you?

knackered76 · 18/11/2010 21:34

Clarkiee - Oh my goodness, how very exciting Grin Grin Grin. My dh will be very jealous! So chuffed for you :)

Balletpink - Grin at the thought of medieval clothes and roman togas!

8rubberduckies · 18/11/2010 21:34

Evening! Don't know quite how I'm going to manage to comment on everyone's posts, so I'm not going to try! I do want to say sorry to hear your sad news Yarnie Sad best of luck for the future...

Moufflon I used to be a massage therapist and came across the same thing as you a couple of times, eurgh it's horrendous, it always used to make my skin crawl. I used to only treat men if it was a busy time of the day with other people around and about, it used to make me feel a bit better. Sounds like you dealt with it very professionally though.

I'm sorry all of you Take That fans, I'm not massively into them Shock, fair play to them for sticking around for so long, but not my type of music. I was meant to be going to one of their very first gigs with my friends in, ooooh, 1992, but used the free pass to stay out late on a school night to smoke fags and snog my boyfriend Shock. My Mum, on the other hand, loves them! She has tickets to see them on 2nd July; I have already ticked her off as I may need her then (Grannies are very useful in the first few weeks)!!

Nothing to report here really; still feeling sick, but it has calmed down a bit, eating my own body weight in food every day, still waiting for my scan date Sad.

8rubberduckies · 18/11/2010 21:39

X posted with a few of you - Clarkiee Wow! Twins! How exciting! And Minione good luck for Saturday and I'm sure you'll get to see your healthy little bean, the discharge sounds very normal, but loads of us on here know how scary it is Smile.

Clarkiee · 18/11/2010 21:48

I'm 11+5 minione. Hope everything goes okay on Saturday, it's sounds like you've been let down by the hospital before so not suprised you've gone for a private scan.

Thanks 8rubber and knackered it's not quite sunk in yet!

sasamaxx · 18/11/2010 22:01

OMG Clarkiee that's unbelievable!!!
You must be so excited!

Minione - so sorry to hear of your previous experiences. Fingers crossed everything is fine and you are reassured on Saturday.

NurseSunshine · 18/11/2010 22:19

OMG! Identical twins!!! OMG!!!! That's amazing! Congratulations, clarkiee. How do you feel??

Hope you're ok minione, I'm sure your scan will give good news :)

Thanks Daisy, mummyN2 and supersunny for thinking of me :) Hugs are welcome from anyone who wants to give them right now! I texted himself to ask if he still wants to come to the scan (thought it was the right thing to do) and he said yes, so.

Who is Jason Orange? Sorry Blush I am uncool :(

MOSnorts, hope you and your family are feeling better today

Moomin, I'm glad you spoke to someone more supportive. There's not point criticising if it's not CONSTRUCTIVE and a good manager will understand that. Clearly your immediate manager is pants.

79monica · 19/11/2010 07:25

Congratulations Clarkiee!

I was catching up on all the posts last night before bed and when I had finished my DH asked me what was new on our thread. I told him about you finding out that you were having identical twins. He said "That's what I'd like, identical twins, a boy and a girl" ! Confused Apparently he didn't realise that identical twins had to be the same sex, I suppose it has been 16 years since his last Biology lesson!

NurseSunshine · 19/11/2010 07:27

LOL

KaraStarbuckThrace · 19/11/2010 08:56

Clarkiee - wonderful news!! We've been saying someone has to be having twins!

Minione - even though you have the scan booked for Saturday it can't hurt to go to EPU. Sorry you are so worried :(

[pudsey]

did that work? No idea how to get the teddy am just guessing!

I think I had dirty dreams with DS but none this time around, another tick in the box for "girl" Grin

misshoohaa · 19/11/2010 09:20

Congrats clarkiee that's amazing, I wonder if there is anyone else with twins in this group. Defo not me as had an early scan, we were a little worried as twins on both sides. ny family history of twins Clarkiee or do identical ones not have any link with genes?

LOL nursesunhine who is Jason Orange! Haha - clearly not a take that fan then? I'm not really either. My youth was more spent admiring Jason Donovan - still have a scarf from his Jason Doing Fine concert and of course Kylie. Especially For You - not that song is just a blast from my youth!

God imagine what our June bambinos are going to love. Better not be Miley Cyrus. More likely One Direction Grin

misshoohaa · 19/11/2010 09:22

Actually just reread that bit where I said - worried as they were twins on both side. Good excited worried is what i meant, obviously it would be great to have twins, a true blessing.

knackered76 · 19/11/2010 09:29

79Monica - Grin. Your dh has cheered me up this morning Grin

sasamaxx · 19/11/2010 09:45

lol monica

Well my midwife didn't get back to me so doesn't look like I'm getting my scan moved forward so another 11 days to wait.
My SIL is a mum of 5 and GP and she was (quite strongly) feeling my abdomen yesterday and feels it is too high up and too big for 11+5.
I'm really hoping this doesn't mean anything bad and I'm too scared to google. Getting quite worried about it and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do Sad.

My sickness seems to be just about gone now although I'm still 'off' lots of food - but the exhaustion is absolutely unbearable.

Is anyone else getting really out of breath and getting a racing heart just from climbing one flight of stairs?

I want to know how to do the bear - here goes:
[teddy]
Bear
Did either of them work?

sasamaxx · 19/11/2010 09:46

Yippee - it's 'bear' in square brackets Wink

8rubberduckies · 19/11/2010 09:54

sasamaxx I am also getting out of breath really easily, don't like it as it reminds me of how unfit I must be and that I need to start preparing for that marathon coming up in about 7 months! Grin Grin. Have you thought that maybe you are too big for 11+5 because you're having twins as well? Shock

MS back with a venegeance this morning - I am sooooo over it now.
