I've always like the name jasmine :) Yeah vit D is one of the important ones. What pregnancy vits are you taking? Check the ingredients but they should all contain it. Pregnacare def does and the Healthy Start ones from GP do as well.

misshoohaa · 20/11/2010 12:20

Hi leroy I too get that pulling pain, particularly when I l get into bed, being horizontal seems to bring it on. Guess it's just things moving and stretching, i've had it all along so am pretty used to it now.

nurse haven't noticed the sweat thing! I'll have a sniff thou and let you know! Isn't pregnancy glamourous? Wind, constipation, vomiting, sweating, peeing, stretch marks!!!

Will be worth it all though when we get our little bundles... Grin

NurseSunshine · 20/11/2010 12:25

Lol yeah I feel like a frickin film star Grin

bananarama05 · 20/11/2010 12:49

Maybe it's your sense of smell rather than your sweat?

I've read things about women not being able to go near their dp's when pregnant as they can't stand the smell of them which is no different to their normal smell!

misshoohaa I would like to add spotty to my list of glamorous features at present! Grin

bananarama05 · 20/11/2010 14:57

hurrah I've just managed to force some veg down for the first time in days and it was almost enjoyable!

ok so it was frozen pre-made cauli cheese so not IDEAL but still a bit of an achievement as anything healthy seems to have be gagging recently which is beginning to worry me a little Confused

Just thought I would share that little vicory and hope everyones feeling average or above today :)

That's good Leroy, you should probably start keeping a list of willing bodies! When I told one of my friends she said "Oh wow, can I be... er... some kind of role?" I was like, Yeah, babysitter Grin

Spent about 45 mins in debenhams with a lovely lady trynig on bras and finally found on that fits (I was large of boob before, it's slightly ridiculous now!). The only ones that fit were nursing bras with the drop down cups. They are vile!

Yeah I'm spotty and greasy too. Sigh.

Minione · 20/11/2010 17:12

Hi ladies, I am going to be removing myself from this thread as I miscarried in the small hours of this morning. Good luck with all your pregnancies, I know you will all be fantastic mummies.

NurseSunshine · 20/11/2010 17:16

So sorry Minione :( Please look after yourself. Thinking of you.

argylesocks · 20/11/2010 17:41

so i thought i was 12.5 but scan today showed 13.5. it looked like a real little baby when i was expecting it to look like a blob :)

the photo is fab.

I've been afraid to tell anyone but close family so now I guess I can though i'm still trying to keep it a secret from work for a bit longer.

sorry for everyone who's having crap partner problems. not good timing :(

i'm still in baby-glow mood but my neighbours baby is screaming its little head off AGAIN! i hope mine's a bit quieter :)

oh and pulling pains - mine were so bad last week it made me cry! apparently it's a good sign that it's actually growing as long as the pains aren't sharp.

mrsbigw · 20/11/2010 17:42

Minione I can hardly believe what has happened, I feel terrible for you, what awful news. I know words cant help but I wish they could as I know you have already suffered so much before this. My heartfelt sympathies to you & your partner xxx

knackered76 · 20/11/2010 18:08

minione - I am devastated for you :( I can't imagine your heartache after all you have been through. I'm thinking of you and your partner and hope that one day you will get to fulfill your dreams. Take great care of you both and give yourself time to heal. Huge hugs and a shoulder to cry on x

sasamaxx · 20/11/2010 18:38

minione - I am so so so sorry to hear this. Look after yourself Sad

milliemuffin · 20/11/2010 18:59

Minione - so sorry to hear your sad news.

I've had a little bleed of fresh blood myself today, I'm 8+2 so my scan's not for another 4 weeks yet. I haven't told DP, no point worrying him. Have to see what happens 2mrw.

My DD is called Jasmine as we like unique names and I didn't even know it was a character out of Aladin but she's still the only one we know and it suits her so much.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 20/11/2010 19:08

Oh minione how sad for you! , sorry there is nothing more I can do for you.

Thought my ms might be slightly easing, then caught sight of the grill pan. I'm still off cooking duties and DH needs to step up the dishes washing!

sasamaxx · 20/11/2010 19:16

Congratulations on your scan argylesocks
nursesunshine those nursing bras will come in VERY useful Wink

sasamaxx · 20/11/2010 19:18

Think I'm going to arrange to get the kids into bed VERY soon and pick up a nice hot and spicy chinese takeaway in time for x factor starting Grin

bananarama05 · 20/11/2010 19:19

minione again I don't have the words or know what to say but as has been said already, look after yourself, surround yourself with as much help/support/time/space you need and we're all thinking of you.

NoMoreChoc it was frying pancetta that caused our cooking row last night after 10 minutes of me dry heaving whilst DP was out walking the dog, I keep forgetting, anything bacon related? = Envy thats a green pukey face not an envious one!

bananarama05 · 20/11/2010 19:21

and many many Smile's for argylesocks!!!

I know it's silly but I couldn't bring myself to put it in the same post as one about minione's loss.

3kidsandbump · 20/11/2010 19:30

Hi everyone,

Haven't posted on this thread for a while as have had lots of problems, and finally miscarried on Tues Sad.

We will probably get back on with trying for no. 4 once things have settled down, as we have definately decided we still would like 1 more, even though this week has been really horrible, and really don't relish the thought of having to go through this again - just trying to stay positive and hope it was a one off.

Hope everyone else's pregnancies progress well. Summer babies are fab - all 3 of my other DC's are summer born!

jasmine51 · 20/11/2010 19:30

So sorry about your news minione - big hugs to you

re vit D - I dont take preg vits because I am already taking high dose folic acid, aspirin, iron and vit c. Pregnacare also made me feel ill. I'll ask at my scan on Monday in case they think I am taking some. In the meantime I have been making sure I'm outside for about an hour every day walking the dog so hopefully it wont be a huge issue up to now. Weird that noone has ever mentioned this to me.

On another topic, I caught myself watching Natalie Cassidys doc today and her and her partner went to Champneys for the day (yeah dream on Jasmine!) - and had a private course that took them through all aspects of pg, delivery and childcare like nappy changing, bathing etc. This would be ideal for me and DH as we are as clueless as each other, with him being too embarassed to admit it and go to any group classes. Anyone know what a class like this would be called and where I can find one? It will obviously cost a bit, being private, but I would love to investigate.

jasmine51 · 20/11/2010 19:33

Crossed posts with 3kids
So sorry about your news. Give your dc a hug and take your time. Hope to hear from you soon x

knackered76 · 20/11/2010 19:37

argylesocks - same reason as bananarama for not posting in my last one. Huge congratulations for a fab scan Grin

millie - sorry you're having a bit of a worrying time today. Fingers crossed it's nothing. I can understand not telling dp but do go to the doctors on monday if it happens again. Hopefully you might get an early scan and some reassurance.

sasamaxx - just had chilli and about to make a nice hot chocolate with cream in time for x factor . . .come on Rebecca Grin Enjoy your take away!

nurse - I went for a check with an osteopath after ds (who was HUGE!). Didn't bother with changing my feeding bra or gorgeous pants, well I've never actually stripped off before. This time however I did indeed have to get down to my undies and the osteopath was quite a young man, I was 6 wks post birth so hot, hot, hot! The feeding bra oh so added to my feeling of hotness :)

NurseSunshine · 20/11/2010 19:55

Congratulations Argyle, really pleased for you xxx

sasamaxx, they will if I don't grow out of them in a fortnight!

sasamaxx · 20/11/2010 20:05

On no 3kidsandbump - so very sorry. Best of luck and do something nice with the kids tomorrow if you're up to it to take your mind off things Sad
