Xav how come they don't want to let you go over?

SilverSky · 19/10/2010 19:58

H sorry to hear you MIL is poorly. The update sounds promising tho.

tf care to share bambino's name? Completely understand if not - privacy and all that jazz.

SIL called today to see how I am doing. Did tell her about all the "any news" enquiries cos I knew that is why she was phoning. Give it a few weeks after The sproggle arrives and no one will be phoning then I bet!!

No aches and pains at present. Laying on sofa prob not helping and I cant face bouncing tonight. Baby is moving loads clearly not conserving energy for an imminent birth then!!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 19/10/2010 20:01

Nymph- must be such a relief to be able to walk! I'm amazed how quickly things seem to be settling for you.

Xavielli · 19/10/2010 20:13

Honey, they are not sure where the bleeding is originating and because there has been two seperate bleeds they don't want to ignore it incase it's the placenta failing.

I just hope my contractions start properly soon, would rather things happened on their own. Don't want to get my hopes up, so back to ignoring niggles.

nymphadora · 19/10/2010 20:48

seashells me too :)

dd3 has her first playdate tomorrow- off to visit my friend & her baby who is 4 weeks older!

nymphadora · 20/10/2010 08:31

Dd3 totally convinced dd2 is going to steal the milk.dd2 trying to give her a kiss before school & dd3 laying over my boobs with her arms round them Grin

Another marathon feed at 9pm & 3am . Left nipple really sore from the over enthusiastic start Hmm no cuts or anything though so should improve quickly

Hermya321 · 20/10/2010 08:53

Nymph LOL at DD3!!!

After what looked like what could have maybe been a start to things last night (twingy, had the runs etc) it has all come to naught. Bump seems to have dropped even further and I'm now ache free. Oh well, we're getting there only very very slowly. I fully expect I may experience my first contraction some time around Christmas.

How is everyone else this morning??

nymphadora · 20/10/2010 09:15

How frustrating hermya the dropping must mean something though. How many weeks now?

shieldbug · 20/10/2010 09:20

hermya I feel like progress is incredibly slow too. Not even the runs to console me that labour may be close! 40+4 and really I feel no closer to giving birth than I did a week ago. I've got a consultant's appointment today, so we'll see what she suggests.

xavihope the bleeds are nothing to do with the placenta and that contractions do start on their own soon.

nymph dd3 sounds sooo cute, as does dd2, giving her a kiss before school. Are dds 1 and 2 enjoying their little sister?

Silver sproglet has been moving loads too, another reason why I think birth is miles off yet.I tried bouncing last night, but all it did was make the baby jump around even more (how does it do that and remain engaged??) and make my bump ache. I've never been a patient person (understatement of the year) and this is driving me bonkers!!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 20/10/2010 09:27

Morning all! Hermya, you are not far off now, surely!!! It all sounds good.

I have 24hrs left of mil and sfil to last. Had my first cry since dd's birth last night as Ds was tantrumming at dinner as he was over tired, hungry and overstimulated. Comparisms to his ADHD daughter were not appreciated :( he's not yet 2 and had his life turned upside down, it's not surprising we are getting tantrums!!!!

Rant over, focus on the good stuff they have done!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 20/10/2010 09:34

keeping me amused this morning

Xavi-hope it's all ok :)

Nymph-v v cute dd3!

BackAgain · 20/10/2010 09:54

Morning everyone

Congratulations to tiredfeet and SamB

Hermya sounds like things are moving in the right direction slowly

Xav hope everything is OK

Nymph ahhh at dd3 and loving your tips!

Seashells hope the next 24 hours go smoothly

Feel really sick today with a churning tummy, think I am going to go back to bed for a bit. Have woken up in the night for the past two nights with bad period pain/backache and have struggled to get back to sleep so tired too

39+2

SilverSky · 20/10/2010 11:03

BackAgain I think your baby is on its way.

Bugsy I had cramp last night, quite bad cramp but it went off. I bounced on my ball so I got poked in the wotsit for my troubles! OUCH! Like you I feel like the big day is never gonna happen. I have MW on Fri and the Hossie on Weds. If things dont get going of their own accord, then I will be induced and there goes the birthing centre and there goes the water birth (assuming that I end up on a drip). I too am impatient but seem to be coping quite well with the waiting. So far.

This morning baby is pretty quiet with the odd movement, but will no doubt perk up as the day gets going and after all its freezing outside today.

40+2

Vikks · 20/10/2010 11:21

SamB and Tiredfeet Congratulations!! Brilliant news, enjoy your little bundles of joy! x x

Silver LO could be saving their energy! Smile

BackAgain Could be early labour! FX

Hermya Christmas! I think I might be there with you. Grin

I?ve just had my 2nd sweep appointment at the hospital and was told that my cervix has softened a little although it wasn?t enough for them to actually perform a sweep. They are gonna give it another go on Friday.
My induction appointment is being made today too! 40+7 Sad

Ivy How are you holding up?

Thirdtimer · 20/10/2010 11:23

Hello folks
I know I'm a rarity in the posting department, but I'm still here! Only finished work on Friday (woo-hoo) so now had two whole days off and guess what - I'm bored!!! Due today... but don't fancy my chances. Head been well engaged (and feel like it's half hanging out, sorry but think that's just the 'experienced' ie already knackered muscles, for a good week or so now. Still nothing happening. Can hardly sleep - the hip/pelvis agony sets in after about an hour. Sweep booked for Friday so no doubt LO will turn up just in time for half term ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

shieldbug · 20/10/2010 11:49

vikks how frustrating. Hope you have better luck on Friday or that the baby comes before then anyway.

thirdtimer I can't believe you've only just finished work! Wow, don't think I could have kept going so long. Hope your sweep is successful too.

backagain sounds rather promising, if rather unpleasant. Good luck!

Hooray the baby monitor has arrived today, so come on sproglet, we've officially got everything we need now. No excuse for hanging around!

priscillaqueenofthesuburbs · 20/10/2010 12:00

Congratulations to all ladies who have had their babies - in particular SamB who I have been empathising with most (as am also on No3 with 2 DD already). I am 40+4 and really bored, fed up and knackered as can't sleep - Thirdtimer I have shoulder and hip ache! Just feels like this baby is never coming out.

BionicEar · 20/10/2010 12:09

SamB and Tiredfeet Congratulations!!

Well from quick scan of posts looks like most of us are bored of waiting for babies to arrive now! Though surprising I'm feeling quite upbeat and in a "oh well baby will come when baby comes" mood today!"

Now the big question is will any of our ladies produce baby today on the memorable date of 20/10/2010?

Trying to think what to do now as getting a bit bored of twiddling thumbs - might attack the pantry and give it a good tidy up. Moi nesting - nah?! Wink

Xavielli · 20/10/2010 14:53

Very quiet here today - I hope lots of you are having 20/10/2010 babies!

Feeling a little down today. The thought of induction never really entered my head until yesterday so not even sure how I feel about it.

nymphadora · 20/10/2010 15:01

shield I wondered how they stay engaged an bounce too!

BackAgain · 20/10/2010 15:32

Well after a promising morning I don't think I will be having a 20/10/2010 baby - had a nap and a toilet trip (TMI!) and feel fine now. Sorry for getting hopes up!

Ivytheterrible · 20/10/2010 15:39

Well done samb and tired hope to join you on the other side soon.

vikks hope the sweep works for you will keep everything crossed except my legs for obvious reasons!

After being threatened with a sweep due this morning my waters went at 3.30 with lots of gushing. Got very excited but very minimal contractions. Midwife has been out to see me and is back in the next hour to check me again. Still no regular contractions so I now have until tomorrow morning for baby to appear or I am in for an induction first thing in the morning.
Still hoping for homebirth but I really hate these timing criteras they have for everything it it only adds to the stress!

BackAgain · 20/10/2010 17:19

ivy hope the contractions start naturally for you

Hermya321 · 20/10/2010 17:42

Bit of news about MIL, she's out of hospital and is back home. She's feeling well and is just really tired from not really sleeping the past two nights. She has to go back as an Outpaitent but from the look of things whatever is going on should be fairly treatable.

As for me, I've had a bit of a moment and cleaned the house from top to bottom and for some bizare reason I had to cook the tea early (so I did).

This pregnancy malarky makes you feel and behave very bizarely doesn't it.
