It is 12 mins on train from that Clapham Junction (to Shepherds Bush) and driving is pretty easy too as it is not in congestion zone and there is plenty of parking. It is West. Anyway, I don't want to throw a spanner in the works - I am happy with PJ.

Muser · 02/11/2010 10:32

That Clapham Junction is not actually easy to get to if you are in South East London. It is 2 buses or 2 trains for me. The complete arse of getting East to West in South London ails me fairly frequently.

I have no idea where Peter Jones is actually, so don't know why it was chosen. Just always like an opportunity to moan about South London transport links.

rollerbaby · 02/11/2010 10:37

Yoo hoo. News from me: stabby cramps and mild cramps at 430 this morning. No baybee though and knackered now and cramps gone. So in bed trying to rest, but not actually managing it yet. Trying not to think about it as clearly this could go on for some time...

Just had email to say that first NCT drop has been made weeks early! And a fast one too in several hours... Queue jumpers!!!

Champagne bar sounds, well, preferable to tea and cake (particularly as we will back in full swing of lushdom okie: "take your bottle darling, mummy's just going to finish her pinot") however, MrsFC understandably refuses to go in a pub until her grand exit and PJs does have BF facilities and cake and also mini bottles of wine. And we can do shopping there...

okie I feel your pain on the name. We are now playing games like, if the dog wuffs once we'll call him Doogie. It's ridiculous.

twinks

OkieCokie · 02/11/2010 10:45

Muse for some reason I thought you were a Battersea lass too. And anyway, isn't Peter Jones that bloke from Dragon's Den?

I have resorted to watching Homes Under the Hammer. Surely there must be something better I could be doing.

Moo I have told you, you will have your baybee on the 3rd, that is tomorrow.

rollerbaby · 02/11/2010 10:47

OMG you all seeing wise woman!!! Let's see eh!

Homes under the Hammer? things are bad. I watched 7 pounds with Will Smith yesterday. So depressing I cried at the end. Suicide with a jelly fish? Jesus.

Casserole · 02/11/2010 11:35

Honey get thee to rest straightaway woman! Seriously, if you possibly can sleep, do. You never know when that option is going to be taken away from you. Ditto with eating and drinking and all things generally fortifying.

I went straight into waters breaking everywhere and established labour with no warning at 3am after 3 hours sleep and I wish I'd known so I could have eaten/drunk/slept more the day before before; it was 30 hours before I ate or drank anything again and nearly 60 before I slept! So if you possibly possibly can, be nice to yourself and stock up on all the above. That's my bestest advice Grin

(Oh, and Westfield has nice BFing facilities, too, just in case anyone ever needs to know)

Medee · 02/11/2010 13:54

silver has laid, according to FB.

laurielou · 02/11/2010 14:08

Cass nearly 60 hours before you slept Shock. And I have a face on because I didn't get to bed until midnight last night instead of my usual 10 pm.

I'm 10 weeks - is it too early to start sleeping all the time under the guise of keeping my energy up ready for Teh Birth? Grin

laurielou · 02/11/2010 14:08

Oh med x-posts. How exciting.

Muser · 02/11/2010 14:13

Oh yay for silver. Baby!

laurie I slept constantly in the first trimester. It's an exhausting time. Go and have a nap. Grin

Medee · 02/11/2010 14:36

I was knackered around then, so had lots of naps. I'm not so bad now.

OkieCokie · 02/11/2010 14:42

I am so chuffed for silv. It really is excellent news.

MrsFC · 02/11/2010 14:45

silver baby! Hurrah! Look forward to hearing the full story...

Lorry, nap whenever you can - even in the work loos if possible. Napping is goooood.

Very excited about honey news - surely it must be another imminent arrival...?

Peter Jones was chosen as I love department stores. Properly. It's on the Kings Road near Slone Square. But. I am happy to change - Westfield does have valet parking or its straight on the Central Line. It also does this fancy thing where your shopping is delivered to your car.

Having said that - please don't make me watch you all drink champagne. It will hurt my very soul....

Muser · 02/11/2010 15:00

C'mon on Moo and Okie, lay us a baybee before the end of the thread!

AlpinePony · 02/11/2010 15:07

I presume you've all seen this?:

www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1325684/Why-dieting-pregnant-baby-heart-disease.html

You may as well just give up, carry as much cake as you like, eat risotto, meatfeast pizzas et al - whatever you do, you're fucked.

laurielou · 02/11/2010 15:31

Damn! And I thought eating a curry at midnight on a school night had to be a good thing?

(Acksherly it was. I had a bloody marvellous time. And by proxy I reckon babyloz did too).

Baby Loz has a name. Chuck. Great.

Mr Loz has always thought it would be hysterical to have triplet boys with the American inspired names of Chip, Chuck & Chet.

I asked him not to mention Chip as it made me constantly hungry. I did also ask him not to mention Chuck, as that is constantly what I feel like doing. Big mistake, he thought that was fab. Hence, baby Chuck. He toyed with Huey for a bit, but Chuck seems to have stuck.............

rocketleaf · 02/11/2010 15:50

yey yey! for silver EXCITE!!! Hope it went all right.

lozzer i have to be in bed by ten and asleep by 10.30 or I feel like utter dog poop the next day. Hoping this rights itself after 12weeks as it's getting REALLY boring.

scan tomorrow, eeep!!

Scorpette · 02/11/2010 16:04

HURRAH AND HUZZAH FOR SILVERBAYBEE!!! Well done that PESH! Grin Although I hope the baybee is not actually silver Wink

That Daily Mail article can go bollocks (which is, incidentally, my opinion on every single DM article). Most differds feel so shit in early pg that they either can hardly keep owt done or all they can stomach - literally - is crap. The thought of virtually all vegetables except tomatoes, onions and peppers makes me want to vomit my eyes out of my arse and all fruit except lemons actually does make me vomit.

I continued my exploration into The World's Least Healthy Breakfasts today by having cold home-made scotch eggs. Food of the gods!

We has a name for our Baybee (actually our second name, as we had one for it as a BOC and annuver for it as a foetus), but I have been sworn to secrecy. Not because it's too soppy - 'Snugglepop' or dubious - 'Lolita', just private

I am saying nothing. Just posting this and saying nothing. Not. A. Thing. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/1074645-to-want-to-go-to-fireworks-night-when-pregnant

Muser · 02/11/2010 16:15

Although it has reminded me I want to go and see fireworks. Oooooh, aaaaah. And I am pleased to see that everyone so far agrees that the husband is insane.

AlpinePony · 02/11/2010 16:18

There are plenty of things I did do when pregnant, but I never stuffed a Catherine wheel up my foof. The poor woman.

Scorpette · 02/11/2010 16:28

I am unashamedly neurotic (well, okay, quite ashamedly) but that sort of thing is entering realms of bonkersness that I can't even conceptualise. I bet the DH is one of those men who won't have sex with her in case he pokes the baby (feel free to interpret 'poke' how you wish).

When I was 15 and training for my trampolining exams (yes, really), my PE teacher was showing us how to do back flips and fancy tricks when she was 7 months pg and getting us all to yell and drum on the walls in encouragement. I really wish I'd filmed it just to freak these people out Grin

OkieCokie · 02/11/2010 16:44

I find this a little bit scary.

Muser · 02/11/2010 16:50

I find that very scary Okie. Fine where there is maybe a medical reason to know the sex early, because the baby is at risk of gender specific illnesses. But other that that I can mostly see it being used as a way of sex selection where boys are more prized than girls.
