What happened HiHoSilver? Why are they threatening induction already? You're only a few days overdue.

OkieCokie · 25/10/2010 20:42

Silv tell them to shove the induction up their arse if you don't want it. Nowt wrong with daily monitoring post 42 weeks and I think you are still a week off that.

I can only imagine my little one must be resting on my bum. I feel like he/she is going to come out of my bum if I relax my muscles so I have to walk around in a constant clenched state. It is very weird.

rollerbaby · 25/10/2010 20:43

I'm getting back to back BH this afternoon/evening. Means nowt probably except bloody annoying.

OkieCokie · 25/10/2010 20:45

fuck me it has to be HER!

Ariesgirl · 25/10/2010 20:54

I too have just found HER

Suspiciously similar name too. Can't believe I responded relatively politely.

Ariesgirl · 25/10/2010 20:55

Sorry - clearly not a similar name. Don't know where my brain was then.

Backinthebox · 25/10/2010 21:06

FFS! During various parts of my pregnancies I drank wine (in moderation,) ate salami, rode horses, skied, carried cakes, filled up my car, decorated a Christmas tree and flew a radioactive fucking aeroplane around thus ticking every travel box going.

I have 2 children who are perfectly normal (if you discount the fact that one of them is a hyperactive megalomaniac pink-obsessed redhead and the other is a giganto-baby-in-a-hurry!)

These women only really need to worry if they are crack addicts or astronauts!

rollerbaby · 25/10/2010 21:19

Grrrrrrrrr!!!

BH coming in waves... Should I put down my cake?

Muser · 25/10/2010 21:22

Nah, eat the cake. If they turn out not to be BH you'll need the energy.

rollerbaby · 25/10/2010 21:24

Good point. Mr moo is just staring at me... Very off-putting I must say.

PerfectDromedary · 25/10/2010 22:25

Oh, poor Silvs. I found this very reassuring re: not worrying too much. Thinking of you.

CluckyKate · 25/10/2010 22:37

Ooh Hunny are you laying a baybee???

Silvio - take a leaf out of Cossie's book & insist on daily monitoring. Don't let them bully you into something you don't want Smile.

Great scan news Meds - wowee, that's makes you past 1/2 way now. Doesn't time fly huh!

Am sure the video is v. good Box but made me feel a bit travelsick so had to switch off after 30 secs [heave]

Laughing at the crayzee girls on the Pregnancy forum. No doubt their babies will be thick as shit too & they'll be blaming those blasted Xmas trees & risottos. Today I have eaten a whole mega-cup of WHSmith pick'n'mix [pig emoticon] - have I killed my baby???

laurielou · 26/10/2010 08:17

Morning!

Silver how are you feeling today? Better I hope.

So, I rang the FC to make sure I was booked in for a scan on Thurs. Imagine my delight at finding out its a dildocam one! Oh joy. As its a "Clomid pregnancy". Eh, no it isn't. I mean, yes I took Clomid - & stopped 3 months BEFORE I got diffed. Stoopid fuckwits. Glad I found out though, could've turned up wearing skanky knick-knacks - imagine the shame (feel I may have a lot to learn about shame prior to Teh Birth).

Honey What gives this morning? Any more BH? The real thing? Most importantly, what cake was it? Grin

Acksherly, feeling a bit bleugh this morning, pliz not to mention cake. Unless it was a ready salted crisp one.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 26/10/2010 09:09

BH coming in waves? And then suspicious silence? Surely honey is delivering baby moo the second (non-hairy variety) at this very mo! Come on moo! Feel those blue ribbons doing their stuff (marie mongan reference ho ho - not me wittering crazily).

Silver - sorry you are down in the dumps. Hope today does go better - might even be The Day!!

laurie worry not about the dildocam scan. 'Tis nothing - and you get a very good picture! All worth it. I had quite a few at the start and a few more recently to check whether the cervix was behaving. . Hope you have a lovely scan!

And medee - great that all was looking good and that you get a second scan thrown in what's more.

okie - I self-diagnosed with a possible case of that itchiness/liver problem (obstretic cholastris) by looking up itching in my pregnancy book. So I went and got a blood test last week. BUT - the itching is really quite fine (a bit annoying in the evenings, but does not stop me sleeping or anything) and only occasional really. The blood test seems to have been clear as well, so time to relax and forget about it I think.

OK, time to knuckle down and finish the last of my work tasks so I can settle into full mat leave mode.

PollyPoo · 26/10/2010 09:25

Moo are you laying? And what kind of cake was it? How exciting!

Silv I agree, don't let the buggers bully you into something you are unhappy with. I hope you are feeling better today. x

rollerbaby · 26/10/2010 09:26

Am here with no baybee. Sorry folks. It was getting a bit suspicious - major league BH - and I did wonder... Tried to call my mum and dad at 2200 to say keep your ears peeled in case we needed them to come up for the dog. Did they hear the phone?? Did they fuck. Luckily, no baybee!! I have instructed my mum to go out and buy a phone today that makes their bed vibrate and light up or summat.

Yes the blue ribbons! Do you actually think about those mid surge do you think witty? I don't usually... I just fall asleep. I'm sure I'm doing it all wrong.

Off to my hypnomums coffee morning today. Sounds a bit granola but ackerly very nice with preggo woman and newly laid baybees all their to share their fears/experiences over cream cake. One of the girls I met last time (who is definitely a FESH) had a really good hippo experience so I am going to GRILL her today and take notes. he he he.

lorry enjoy the dildocam! It really wasn't a big deal for me.... in fact the sonographer (a man) actually apologised for the fact it was left pointing upwards. Quite funny really. He seemed to think this was terribly insensitive. I wanted to say that I'd seen more phallic plastic apparatus in my life and not to worry, but it didn't seem like the right time....

rollerbaby · 26/10/2010 09:28

The cake was choc-o-late with buttercream icing. Birfday cake from Saturday hand delivered to my sofa. NIIIICCCE!

silver PLEASE stay positive. Nuffink has happened yet so don't imagine the worst scenario. I think staying calm and open to all possibilities is the best way. I need you!! If you panic, I panic!!

Muser · 26/10/2010 09:57

I actually found dildocam less uncomfortable than external at my 12 weeek. I am not including 20 week in this analysis as we all know that was hideous. And you get ace views from a dildocam, much clearer. That's why we got such a nice 12 week scan pic.

God, that reminds me. The other night I dreamt about the bad 20 week scan, in my dream I was explaining in detail why it was so horrid. Why is my subconscious doing that? Why can't I have a dream about the nice scan? Or dream about fluffy bunnies and kittens playing in fields?

Muser · 26/10/2010 10:05

24 hours until holibobs! HOLIBOBS!

Ok, so it's 3 nights in rainy Scotland. But I have already booked a massage, there's a swimming pool with water slides, and afternoon tea with champagne. So, y'know, not too shabby.

Wait, oh noes, if I go on the water slides will I hurt my baybee? Or will my boobs fall out of my swimsuit? [hhmm]

laurielou · 26/10/2010 10:59

Oooh, thanks for the "nice pics" stories of dildocam, makes me feel a bit better about it.

Muse deffo the biggest danger is boobs falling out. Take it from one who knows Blush

Sorry about the shite scan dream. Has anyone has nice diff dreams? I dreamt I had a huge boil on my jaw & when Mr Loz looked he said I had a hole in my face & something was eating my flesh.

I fell asleep in yoga class last night. Pretty sure I snored, may even have farted. Great. Everyone was very sweet though, no-one mentioned anything, so I just boldly said goodbye & hurried out.

And its only going to get worse, isn't it?

rollerbaby · 26/10/2010 11:20

Yep I burp in my sleep apparently.

Don't buy a tankini if you are of ample breast. Mine fell out.

Muser sounds like my kind of mini break you lucky girl,

SilverSky · 26/10/2010 12:28

Afternoon all.

Thx for all your mentions. Means a lot. After the VE and being told that absolutely no indication of my body being anywhere ready kinda left me feeling shite. Didn't help that the exam itself was not pleasant and quite painful - who knows how I will ever cope with labour. Then HI's attitude peed me right off firing twenty dozen questions at me which I couldn't answer. If he'd come with he could have asked the MW himself.

He's gone from being impatient to changing his tune so now he's telling me off for being impatient.

My main fear is hanging out for au naturale and going against the hossie and then something going wrong cos of my decision.

Got hossie tmw. HI asked if I wanted him to come with and if so he will.

SilverSky · 26/10/2010 12:30
CluckyKate · 26/10/2010 13:06

....which is what makes daily monitoring a good option Silv

What the MW, hospitals etc. don't mention is that 40 weeks is the average gestation period - just think of yourself as above average Smile. Most babies are born between 37 & 42 weeks so you're not overdue for at least another week.

Chin-up - things can change very quickly and very, very soon you will meet your little baby....I promise.

Meanwhile, double-secks & nipple-tweaks for you tonight.

OkieCokie · 26/10/2010 13:09

Silv the bod can go from not being ready to being very ready very quickly so don't worry. You are not even 2 weeks overdue yet. If you feel MW is hassling you just show you have done your reading and not feel pressured. Just turn into an obnoxious child and keep asking "why". I would not even consider induction until 42+ weeks unless there was some proof I needed it. I would definitely take HI with you.

Meeting moo for a late lunch soon.

Had hossie appt this morning, all is fine although still measuring 3cm bigger. Head is well and truly in the pelvis and not likely to pop out now so went out after and bought pads and cream for nips, new change mat and moses basket sheets. Think I have everything that I need for the first few weeks now.
