Evening all....FMN...im so pleased your little girl is home with you now!! Hazy Im pleased your son is progressing so well too. Im sitting with my feet on my nice new carpet!!! Its so lovely!!

Thelighthousekeeper · 24/02/2009 22:25

Hi everyone, sorry not been around much.

Thats brilliant news about your son Hazy. You must be so pleased.

FMN- great news that Kyirrie is finally home.

Things have been a bit difficult here. DH has been very down the last few months, the stress of his job, Noah, worry for the new baby, and lack of support from his family has just all got on top of him. Thankfully he agreed to see our GP yesterday who has put him on a course of antidepressants and he's going to give him a health MOT. He then went and joined our local Gym in a bid to get fit which I'm really pleased about as I think it will give him something positive to do beyond work.

shabster · 24/02/2009 22:32

So good to see you Lighthouse. Your DH sounds like my DS1. Danny just went and had blood tests. He is constantly exhausted. GP laid into him telling him he was overweight. Told him to eat more healthy food and said if he wanted to see his little boy grow up he had to loose weight. I understand that he is a couple of stone overweight but I do wish that the GP would take a couple of minutes to scan over the records. When he came to tell me what the Doc had said he broke his heart crying. After all he is my firstborn.....my beloved little lad who I had tried to conceive for almost 4 years! I start having Lewis 5 mornings a week from next Monday so I am going to make Danny a really healthy lunch and sneak it into his car before he drives away.

I reckon our babies are our babies till the day we shuffle off this mortal coil and even then they are our babies xxxx

shabster · 24/02/2009 22:45

Mine and Dans song This is a bit of a cheesy song but Dan used to love Neil Sedaka. We took him to the Palace Theatre in Manchester to see Neil Sedaka a few months after we lost Matt. We sneaked a letter backstage and asked could the song be dedicated to Danny. Neil Sedaka did exactly what we asked him....every time I hear it I think of Danny....every word fits. xxx

Hello all you lovely ladies

I just wanted to pop on and say a huge congratulations to FMN and all the family on the arrival of Kyirrie You don't know me but I had followed your story from when Eris was born. I wondered if this baby had arrived and wanted to ask on here but didn't want to intrude...anyway, I am just so pleased for you all that Kyirrie is here and you are both home after such a whirlwind of emotion and worry.

Every conceivable good wish from a stranger as well as my continuing respect and admiration for all you ladies.

Hi Shabs, thankfully it seems of GP was alot more supportive and tactful than Danny's. Your poor son, its so unhelpful isn't it?
Sounds like Lewis is going to be keeping you on your toes! x

On a happier note its Aurelie's 4th birthday on Monday and she is having a party on Sunday. She's been constantly going on about having a party for the last 6 months so we decided ok. Invited 27 kids thinking not all would be able to come and 25 have accepted!!! Oh my God what have we done? So have been rather busy planning party bags (don't you just hate them!) and games to play etc. Its our first foray into all this so am very nervous about it going well!! Roll on Sunday 5.30pm when it will all be over!

Hiya Cyteen....I recognise your MN name. Good news about FMN and her family isin't it?

shabster · 25/02/2009 07:31

Good morning ladies xx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 25/02/2009 07:43

Morning all.

M has impetigo - gaaahhh
I have another bloody viral infection - gaaahh

Consequently I am bloody knackered, it doesn't help that M doesn't sleep through. So I'm feeling jolly sorry for myself at the moment.

Have a great time at the party Lighthouse. You do know it's going to be carnage don't you?! You're a brave lady Oh, and I love your dd's name, it's divine.

I recognise Cyteen as well. I have a feeling she has been on here before and that she has lost a brother. I may be wrong though

Hiya Moveit! Impetigo is awful. Tom got it a few years ago - he had been bitten unmercifully by mozzy's in Greece. Then scratched them and a couple of weeks later ended up with impetigo all through his eyebrows?????????

This has been a bad Winter for viruses - we have all lurched from one bout of proper flu to the next.

Hope you are both better very soon xxx

lottiejenkins · 25/02/2009 09:00

Morning,,,,,,,,,,, Move it... we are impetigo experts in this house! Poor Wilf seems to get it all the time, to the point where I insist on having a tube of fucidin in the house at all times just in case. My Mum and Antonia are due soon for phase two of "the floor" we are moving everything back into the sitting room now so that the laminate floor can be laid in the hall, dining room and kitchen..................

lottiejenkins · 25/02/2009 10:51

I'm sitting here crying about David Cameron's son..............so so sad. That poor family...

shabster · 25/02/2009 10:56

Oh poor little lad. Just heard it on the news.

lottiejenkins · 25/02/2009 11:07

It has made me very aware of how lucky I am to have Wilf..............

minaisgettingmarried · 25/02/2009 11:51

Ladies - I imagine that today's news about David Cameron's son - and the fact that it will be in all the papers and on all the news programmes - will most likely stir up a lot of hard memories for all of you. Just want you to know that you are all in my prayers, as are the Cameron family of course.

Northernlurker · 25/02/2009 12:06

Oooops - forgot to name change from sillyiness last night - that last post was from me

travellingwilbury · 25/02/2009 12:17

Hello all , Lottie I hope you are doing ok .Thank you NL for your kind thoughts , it is so hard when you hear of another family having to go through this awful journey.

shabster · 25/02/2009 12:17

Thank you Northern When it appears on every news bulletin and in every paper it does drag up thoughts and emotions from our losses. Death has no respect for fame or fortune or power.....the loss of a child is so very, very difficult. xxx

shabster · 25/02/2009 12:38

Oh my word I have just watched Gordon Browns speech in the houses of Parliament with regards to David Cameron and his family. OMG how heartfelt....my throat is hurting trying not to let out the tears. Despite what anybody thinks about Gordon Brown as Prime Minister I have never heard such heartfelt words expressed by a politician.

Beautiful words expressed with sincere sympathy.

travellingwilbury · 25/02/2009 12:47

I haven't watched any of the news yet because I know it will make me cry . I am hoping my little one will go to sleep soon then I will watch it . It must be weird for Gordon Brown as well because of baby Jennifer .

shabster · 25/02/2009 13:06

Thats all I could think about TW when he was speaking. He looks dreadful - very pale faced and about 20 years older. I have a lot of time for Gordon Brown. xx

travellingwilbury · 25/02/2009 13:21

Me too , still not watched anything yet, I think I will in a bit . I know I won't be able to avoid it forever. It just brings stuff to the surface doesn't it ?

shabster · 25/02/2009 13:31

Anybody on FBook?? Feedmenow has put some pictures on of DD. I have been awwwwwwing at them - now my DH is convinced I am barking mad.

Thelighthousekeeper · 25/02/2009 14:21

Have seen the news about Ivan Cameron. It's so heartbreaking. That poor family I hope they will get all the privacy, support and help they need. I thought Gordon Browns speech was very moving, very much from the heart as obviously he knows what the Cameron's are going through having also lost a child.

ILike - hope you are both better soon. xx

Shabs - was on Facebook earlier, she is the sweetest little thing so adorable!
