Hello my good friends

Its lovely to be asked to set up our new support tread especially as we head towards our first festive season supporting each other.

I hope Frasers part of the journey is as smooth as Eris, Jack and Matt&Gareths

Good morning girls xx

FMammy - sounds a lovley, lovley day. Glad you had a great time.

frasersmummy · 16/11/2008 19:32

right I am gonna have a rant .. I know its completely unreasonable and probably even insensitive but this is now beginning to get to me..

there are sooo many people on mn saying they want to hold a vigil, or hold a memorial service or even buy a star for the little boy in the news. fair enough if it makes them feel better then far be it from me to criticise..

but I really want to post on some of these threads saying .. no-one is holding a vigil or a memorial service or buying a star for my little boy and he is dead because of someone's negligence

Like I say I know its unreasonable .. but is it at least understandable???

Have to agree, FM.

Reminds me of the other day when I was called by someone from the NSPCC. She was extremely well drilled and wouldn't leave me alone despite me saying v. clearly that the money I can afford to give away goes to medical research into baby loss. So, when she said 'Don't you know 1 child dies every day from abuse?' I shot back 'Don't you know that every day 17 babies are stillborn or die in the first days of life? (These are SANDS' figures, and AMR quotes 25 deaths of premature babies every week.)

The way I see it, the tiniest, most vulnerable people in our society, whether they are the aborted, the longed-for and lost, the very early or the unloved like Baby P are getting a raw deal and I sincerely hope this tragic death might at least make a lot more people stop to think that children are a blessing, and our future, and we need to do more to cherish and care for them.

Just one more thing - I wasn't surprised to see people on the SGB thread referring to an article by Janice Turner in yesterday's Times. Soon as I read it I thought, she reminds me of that poster on MN. Both of them as hard as nails.

best wishes,
K

Ladies............and friends of Shabster. Just had a private e-mail from her to say that she can not get noto here, when she tries to log in and post a page comes up saying she is forbidden. It could be that she has been reported on that other thread. What can we do? She has contacted MN and they have not replied. She last posted late morning but has no access since.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 17/11/2008 09:05

Trips - maybe no one from MN was around yesterday, but will be today? I hope they contact her or you today so you can find out what is going on.

TheNinkynork · 17/11/2008 09:09

Perhaps the system puts an emergency temporary ban on reported posters at the weekend. Hope it gets resolved very soon

lottiejenkins · 17/11/2008 09:17

How do we contact Mumsnet to ask for her to be put back online?

lottiejenkins · 17/11/2008 09:43

I have just contacted Mumsnet HQ to ask for Shabster to be reinstated! I hope all you other friends of hers will do the same!!

VaginaShmergina · 17/11/2008 09:59

Morning girls, quick update refernce our friend Shabster.

She is still unable to get onto MN. Hopefully all will be sorted very soon and she will be back here with us (no doubt making us laugh and cry at the same time)

Will keep you posted. x

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 17/11/2008 10:01

Who did she get reported by?

Was it to do with the BabyP thread? I read some of that and I don't remember seeing anything that was out of line.

VaginaShmergina · 17/11/2008 10:06

Not sure if that is what has happened MoveIt, just know some her her posts have been deleted and she cannot get on.

Trying to remain calm as I do not want to spontaneously combust

frasersmummy · 17/11/2008 10:33

Update........... Just got this

Hi, thanks for your email.

We suspended Shabster's membership over the weekend because we were
getting a lot of complaints about her postings about another member,
Cod.

We've been in touch with Shabster today and we're just waiting to hear
back from her.

best wishes
