Hello my good friends

Its lovely to be asked to set up our new support tread especially as we head towards our first festive season supporting each other.

I hope Frasers part of the journey is as smooth as Eris, Jack and Matt&Gareths

.....no I'm not - Lewis is the latest 'victim' of the snotty nose - he is coughing, sneezing and throwing up

lottiejenkins · 02/01/2009 14:56

Oh dear.........i'm the same here Shabs.........im going to get the doctor to listen to my chest when we go in!!

lottiejenkins · 02/01/2009 17:56

Well we are both on antiobiotics!! I have to decide tomorrow evening whether to send him back to school on Sunday or not!! My chest was rattling away nicely when he lsitened to it! It took AGES to find something that Wilf can take that wont make him hyper!!

hazygirl · 02/01/2009 18:04

lottiejenkins · 02/01/2009 18:20

Thanks hazy i think hes pretty special too! he spent the half hour we were waiting in the surgery jumping up and opening the door into the corridor for people!

lottiejenkins · 02/01/2009 20:54

Well ladies i have a not very well at all boy here........ in bed with the lights out already not argued and he has the sick bowl by him too! I hope he feels better in the morning!!

Deemented · 02/01/2009 20:59

Aw - hope he's feeling better soon - tis horrible when they aren't well and there's nowt you can do to make them better.

lottiejenkins · 02/01/2009 21:00

I loved your response on the "i can hear my neighbours bonking" thread dee........it made me smile!!!

Deemented · 03/01/2009 07:50

Well - it's just what i would do!!!

How's everyone today? TBH i'm tons 'better' since the festivities are all out the way, if that makes sense - i haven't got to put my bravado mask on anymore.

What are everyones plans for today? I'm off to paint in the new house - am doing my living room a gorgeous teal colour, with chocolate brown and copper. Trying to keep the kidlets amused while i paint is proving to be fun though

shabster · 03/01/2009 09:14

Morning girls. xx

Morning Dee - whereabouts are you moving to? We moved in 2008 - at least 100 yards!!! The next street to our old house

lottiejenkins · 03/01/2009 09:27

Morning all........Ive just heard about John Travolta's son Jett dieing......... How very sad. It seems he had a seizure and banged his head in the bath.

shabster · 03/01/2009 09:33

A thread had already started on that Lottie when I came home in the early hours. The 'usual faces' were posting and had already got the claws out. They were trying to blame it on John Travolta and his wife being Scientologists (think thats what they are)!!!! There are several un-hinged MN people I just went on and put a single line 'no death is so sad as that of a child' - think I killed off the thread!

VaginaShmergina · 03/01/2009 09:50

Morning girls....... just rescued Shabster from that thread......

Unbelievable !

shabster · 03/01/2009 09:59

Thanks V - but this is well worth a second 'FORBIDDEN' - weird how, even tho several of the people on the thread have namechanged I can still recognise their ways of posting. Could be a long week-end!!

No matter what your religious beliefs loosing a child is the most heartbreaking, revolting experience I have ever tried to live through.

Northernlurker · 03/01/2009 10:40

Message from Shabster re the JT thread - don't let the bastards grind you down! You are doing good work and you are right.

shabster · 03/01/2009 10:49

Ta Northernlurker. After Matt was killed we received over 300 cards - 80% of them were from people we had never met. People who had took the time to put their thoughts and feelings down in writing. Surely that is what life is all about....having empathy and emotions even for people you dont know??????

I got myself very wound up a little while ago on a similar thread Everlong. A thread saying how pathetic people were who lit candles for bereaved parents when they had never met them in real life. I ended up being 'barred' from MN for a couple of days because I had a potty gob and was having a go at one of the other posters!!!!

I feel very calm about this thread and will never be ridiculed again on here by PEOPLE I HAVE NEVER MET

Cant leave it now Everlong - I am a stubborn woman when I get going. xxxxxx

They managed to do that last time Everlong - it will not happen again. My Matt would always say about any fall outs or bad stuff 'WAS IT BY ACCIDENT OR BY PURPOSE' if I said to him 'I think it was by purpose' he used to say 'Dont worry Mam I will kick em in the nuts for you!' He was fascinated by the kicking of the nuts as a punishment. He was so funny Everlong.

Think I will go back on there now and kick someones nuts!!!

lottiejenkins · 03/01/2009 13:10

I have posted my thoughts on the JT thread.............. Im not feeling brilliant today...shivery and barking away with a cough like a rottweiller! Wilf wont be going back to school this week as his impetigo hasnt abated sadly! In realtion to JT's son im just glad i have him here with me!!

shabster · 03/01/2009 14:35

Lottie that thread has disappeared!!!!! It has vanished off my profile - you know the bit where it says where you have been.

Oh and I was so enjoying our debate. Isin't that weird.

shabster · 03/01/2009 15:23

MN emailed me and said they had pulled it because of the number of complaints they had!

I was being so well behaved as well

Hope you soon feel better Lottie xxx and Wilf xx

lottiejenkins · 03/01/2009 15:23

Personally i am glad that it has gone! It was a disgusting thread and the people (not including us) on there who made those comments should be ashamed of themselves!

shabster · 03/01/2009 15:24

I agree love - I wanted to loose my temper and rant and rave but I didnt. Seems that being calm on MN sometimes puts you in the better position?
