Hello my good friends

Its lovely to be asked to set up our new support tread especially as we head towards our first festive season supporting each other.

I hope Frasers part of the journey is as smooth as Eris, Jack and Matt&Gareths

Hi, I have had the day off today, and took flowers to the cemetery for Mum, Marcus and Chynna. It was good to be there.

[skips in feeling a bit out of place]

everlong, the CS Lewis book is the 'best' of all the books on grief I have read, and I've read a lot since May! Raw, and real and honest, and comforting to know a celebrated scholar went through all the same feelings.

[runs away again, cos this isn't my thread, sorry ]

why is life so bloody hard???

my mum hasnt been well for a few weeks .. doctor keeps saying have some antibiotics... will be fine

till last night she had such a bad chest infection, was sooo breathless and dehydrated that she was rushed to hospital and when i asked the gp if she was going to make it he said he didnt know..I have been bloody petrified and its been the longest 24 hours of my life. I'm absolutely exhaused

she seems a good bit better tonight, she is sitting up eating and drinking but is still on oxygen and loads of drips..

if she doesnt relapse overnight tonight then she should be on the mend..

sorry probs should post this somewhere else but I knew I could just vent on here

lottiejenkins · 11/12/2008 09:23

Thanks Shabs xxxxxxx He said Mummy so clearly too.....................................

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 11/12/2008 09:32

I noticed that! I used to go out with a lovely lad who was deaf. We used to go in our local at week-ends and I used to tell my friend how much I would like to go out with him and how handsome he was. My famous line 'he must really fancy me because he stares at me all the time and then smiles.' His friend came over one night and said 'John really likes you, but he is shy. I think its because he is profoundly deaf!' So, he had been lip reading everything I said

frasersmummy · 11/12/2008 10:57

morning girls thanks for your good wishes.. was just really upset last night

mum has had 2 good nights now so it looks like she is on the road to recovery. Obviously I will worry till I get her home but the immediate worry of losing her any minute at least has passed

now I just need to juggle hospital visits with xmas shopping, putting up trees etc..
