Hello my good friends

Its lovely to be asked to set up our new support tread especially as we head towards our first festive season supporting each other.

I hope Frasers part of the journey is as smooth as Eris, Jack and Matt&Gareths

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHABS........

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 09/12/2008 08:22

Thank you Lottie

Will remember Chynna tomorrow and light my candles in memory of her. So many of the children on 'our special thread' passed away around Christmas time. Must make it so much harder. xxxxx

ILikeToHoHoHo · 09/12/2008 08:26

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Shabs . All the best people have birthdays in December (mine's on Saturday!)

I probably won't be on tomorrow as I'm off Christmas shopping, but I will be remembering Chynna and thinking of you all Shoshe xxx

Thanks ILike - want you all to wish Donny Osmond a Happy 51st birthday today!!! That was my claim to fame at High School in the early 1970's!!! The Osmonds were at their peak and Donny was adored

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 09/12/2008 08:32

The Osmonds

This show made me weep buckets!!! Maybe crying for a time long ago when life was 'easy', where Summers were hot and carefree, where the only thing to worry about was my homework. Where....if I had known what my future held - would I have still done everything the same?

WhileShosheWatchedHerFlocks · 09/12/2008 08:38

Did you have the big poster of him in his white cap on your bedroom wall

I did.

WhileShosheWatchedHerFlocks · 09/12/2008 08:41

Actually my memory was failing me it was a red hat

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 09/12/2008 08:42

LOL!! At the time I was well into Rod Stewart, T Rex and David Bowie - bit of a rock chick but I did have secret posters of him on my wall.

My life time friend took me to see the Osmonds early this year in Manchester!! 19,000 menopausal nutters chanting 'We want the Osmonds, we want the Osmonds!!' It was one of the best nights of my life. Donny is still sooooooooo handsome and it was very touching to see his brothers all looking much older but still 'doing the business!'

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 09/12/2008 08:43

Donny's colour was always purple - he must have nicked that off one of his bro's xx

WhileShosheWatchedHerFlocks · 09/12/2008 08:45

I saw them when they came to do TOTP's in about 1974/5, cant remember which, myself and my best friend were allowed to travel to London by ourselves to be met by her gran, to go to see them.

We got the tickets through the Osmonds fan club, I seem to recall it was a lucky dip who got them.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 09/12/2008 08:47

WOW - thats a bit like getting a golden ticket in the film 'Willy Wonka' - hope you dont mind me asking 'how old are you?'

lottiejenkins · 09/12/2008 11:07

Yes Everlong I am afraid it is life changing. BUT when time has passed and the grief is not so raw you will find ways to celebrate Oli's life.
