Is anyone up?

I can’t sleep.

My husband was killed in a car crash today.

We’d just moved house and he was so happy.

My sons are all home now. The family liaison officer has been round. There is going to be an inquest.
My friends and sister have been brilliant and so have my husband’s former colleagues.
I am so bone achingly exhausted but I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. I’m surviving on tea.
This is just so shit.

I think I might live near you, IWant.

Please get in touch if you need a hand with anything, whether it's practical, to run the kids about, or just a talk and a handhold.

I know the 6th form college you mentioned in an earlier thread

So sorry for your loss. The one thing that's struck me about your posts was about dressing him in a heavy metal t-shirt - absolutely do this if it feels right for you all. My Dad died last year, he was dressed in a Grumpy t-shirt we,d given him that Christmas (my little girl turned 1 the week he died and he was her Grumpy) and a pair of jogging bottoms. It was just so him and very fitting. Putting him in anything smarter would have felt wrong as he hated dressing up as he called it! Do whatever you need to get through the coming days and weeks, try to remember the good times with a smile.
